7 A Few Weeks Later

Flashback to events over the last few weeks

Gerald's POV:

I spent a few days in the hospital, then we were cleared to go home, which sucked, when we got home Jill cleaned the house silently, telling me to just go upstairs and lay down, I could tell she was processing something in her mind, so I took one last look at her and left her be, when she came upstairs she passed my room and she looked in, our eyes locked, we've known each other a week and all I wanted to do was make her mine now, her kisses were amazing, we acted like an item but it's not official yet,

"You okay?" I call out to her as she walks towards her bedroom.

"Yes! Just need a shower," she calls out turning to look at me.

"Come in here after your done!" I call out smiling at her.

"Okay G," she says then turns back around and heads into her bedroom leaving the door cracked.

Jill's POV:

I left my door cracked as I walked towards my bathroom, just Incase Gerald needed me quickly I'd be able to hear him, I walk into my bathroom and turn the shower on, then strip out of my clothes tossing them into my hamper near the window, I get into the shower and wash up. I get out and dry off, wrapping the towel around myself, I walk into my bedroom and passed my door, I don't realize that Gerald is staring at me as I head into my walk in closet looking around to find something to wear, I feel hands grab my waist, causing me to gasp and turn around, I'm facing Gerald, who's got this look in his eyes, it's pure lust.

"What?" I ask looking up into his eyes.

"You're driving me crazy, I didn't mean to but I caught a glimpse of you in just a towel and it's making me want you," He replies and pulls me closer to him.

I smile up at him, "Who says I don't want you too?"

That was enough to drive him mad, things got very heated and we ended up on my bed together.

An hour and a half later.....

Gerald's POV:

Jill was fast asleep in my arms, naked. She hasn't really been sleeping much, between work and taking care of me she's wearing herself out. I couldn't resist any longer, I had to sleep with her and I don't regret it. It was the best sex of my life, better than Halsey and that's saying something. I let Jill sleep, I carefully laid her on her pillows and covered her up, I quietly left the room and went downstairs, I began to cook dinner for us. It took me a half hour and I had a full course meal all cooked up, I made Jill's favorite Chicken parm, with corn and broccoli as sides. I turned the burners onto low and walked upstairs, I went into Jill's room and carefully woke her up,

"Hey babe, wake up," I said into her ear and planted a kiss on her cheek.

She woke up slowly, smiling up at me, "Hmm I think I could get used to being called babe, when you say it it's so sexy."

She pushed herself up, and got off the bed, she pulled on her underwear and a bra, I ran to my room and grabbed one of my favorite T-shirt's and threw it to her, "Here babe, wear that."

She catches it and pulls it on, it falls down to her knees, she smiled at me and walked over to me putting her arms around my neck and pulling my face to hers, she smashed her lips to mine and smiled afterwards, "What smells so good? Did you cook dinner G?"

I smiled guiltily, "Yes, your favorite too!"

She put her arms around my neck and hugged me, I chuckled and hugged her back. We went down and ate dinner, then we cuddled on the couch and I let her watch Grey's Anatomy (Sorry it's my favorite show so I usually include it or the walking dead lol), she had some time off, the hospital was giving her paid time too. She was one of their best nurses and she had the best insurance as well, also when they hired her they gave her the option of earning paid vacation days, which she worked hard for. She fell asleep in my arms half way through the first episode we watched, I let her sleep. When I got tired I carefully lifted her bridal style and carried her to my room, I laid her down and took my shirt off and climbed in next to her and covered us up. I shut the light off and fall asleep holding her close.

Our days went on mostly the same, we went out on a few dates, we slept together multiple times, the past few weeks have been so fucking amazing. But today Jill goes back to work finally after not being there for nearly 2 weeks.

Present day

Jill's POV:

I was getting ready for work when I heard the bathroom door open, I smiled seeing Gerald standing in the doorway, he leans against my doorway as I finish brushing my teeth, I pull my hair into a bun and turn to face him. He smiles and pulls me to him, our bodies touching, causing me to smile immediately, I was in his favorite hoodie and jeans. He crushed his lips to mine and smiled, we have been dealing with the demons at the ungodly hours, they stopped hitting us they just liked to wake us up every hour, I swear Gerald ended up breaking his lamp because one of them wouldn't shut the fuck up this morning, he kept groaning demonically. They are just getting annoying now, I'm no longer afraid of their bullying asses. Gerald and I left, we stopped for coffee on the way, I had the night shift for my first day back, I was in charge of the ER all night, when we pulled into the hospital parking lot, he grabbed my arm as I tried to get out, I looked back at him and leaned over kissing him hard,

"I'll miss you, the girls said they are ordering pizza tonight to welcome me back, so I'll see you at 5am."

"aw man, imma miss your beautiful face, I'll be here no matter what, I'm going to see some old friends, I love you Jill." He says to me.

"I love you too G," I say kissing him one more time.

We made our relationship official last night, after sleeping together for the thousandth time. We said our goodbyes and I headed into the hospital.

I headed for my locker and put my stuff in grabbing my clean scrubs from it, curiosity of Kyle, he had texted me he got me some new clean scrubs to replace the ones that got destroyed when I found Gerald unconscious, I texted Kyle,

Thanks for the scrubs hun! You're the fucking best

Np girl! Love you

I put my phone away and got changed real quick. I headed for the ER with my coffee in my hand, I clocked in and grabbed my tablet logging in, I sat at the desk since this is where I was starting my shift off, I didn't mind, I logged into the ER computer and double checked all patients records that were currently here to make sure there was no spelling errors or blank lines.

After I finished that the phone rang,

"Mercy ER."

I listened for a moment then said, "Okay we'll be ready!"

I hung up and stood up, getting everyone's attention, "Guys! Get ready for a major MVC on its way in! It was about a 6 car pile up! Some are in worse shape then others! You know the drill!"

Everyone scattered to get ready as I ran to grab a gown and gloves running out to the rig, I was met by Kyle, he went into detail and I listened rushing the girl into a trauma bay, she was 6 months pregnant. My night got worse from there, I had to help deliver her premature baby, which nearly didn't make it, I took over and somehow saved the tiny baby girls life, it was now a waiting game to make sure she got better from here on out and not worse. I spent the rest of the shift with the newborn, I was asleep in the NICU when I felt someone tap my arm, it was Kyle,

"Hmm?"

"Gerald's here to get you," I look up and see him outside the NICU smiling at me and holding up a coffee.

"Thank Kyle," I say touching his arm and smiling at him.

I check the baby one last time and update her chart before turning my tablet in after logging out of it, I clocked out and grabbed my purse from the ER desk. I left with Gerald and drank my coffee on the way to a cafe, we got breakfast then he took me out shopping for this weekend, he wanted me to go out clubbing with him, I agreed.

Gerald was in love with my outfit for Friday , claiming it was going to end up on his bedroom floor which made me laugh, I knew it was true. The rest of that week dragged on until Friday night finally came.
