19 Chapter 19

Zion.

After I received a call from my brother telling me our father wants to talk to us, I felt nervous because I haven't met my dad and brother in a while, after our mother's death I put the blame on Luke and dad it's all their fault.

I entered the quite restaurant owned by our father, I spot my older brother Luke and dad, I walked towards them and settle myself next to Luke.

"Am glad you came son" dad said his voice weak he's getting old.

"Get to the point... What did you call me here for? I spitted venom laced in my voice.

"I want you to come back home" his words surprised me. Now he want me to come back home.

"You must be joking old man, after all you've done, you want me to come back home? That will not happen" I exclaim.

"Have some respect for Zion, he's your father" Luke interrupted. It was at the time I noticed his face he has grown some beard.

"Cut it Luke...it's all your fault, if you didn't do shit back then, mom will still be alive" I roar. He grab me by the collar.

"What...it's the fucking truth" anger evident on my face. He was about to punch me when dad interrupt us.

"Stop this nonsense, am trying to settle everything not fight over it. You guys should calm down, let's this issue peacefully" dad spoke in a dry tone.

I slouched down on the chair and cross my hands.

"You see son, am getting weak day by day. And before I die I want to reconcile with my son and see them Happy"

"What about the past" my breath hitch thinking of the past.

"Zion you should stop thinking about the past. The past is the past, think about the future"

dad whispered. I scowl while Luke focused his eyes on the floor.

"We are holding a family gathering this weekend, I will be happy if you come" his eyes sparkle in happiness.

"Count me out" I blurted. I stood up to leave when I heard Luke's voice.

"Think about what dad said, think about the future and be happy"

My fist collided with the wall, making my knuckles red. My mind wandered to Lydia, she must be worried I didn't call her all day, I took my phone from my pocket and dialed Lydia number. The call was picked up but it's not Lydia's voice.

"Who are you? Why are you with Lydia's phone?" I shouted.

"Well...well...well..your little lover is here with me Zion" I recognised his voice Tom. Anger flashed through me.

"I swear Tom, if you lay a hand on Lydia, you're going to regret being born" I barked.

"It's up to me to decide what to do with her" I heard Nicole voice.

"So if you want to save your girlfriend, come to this address and come alone if not....you know what I mean" and he hung up.

he told me the address which I assume is not far from where I am now. I roar my car to life blood pumping in my vein. I swear if anything happens to Lydia, am going to kill him. I increased my speed.

I arrived at the location, it's a  deserted forest with long trees, I saw a gate which I assume is where tom took Lydia. I trekked to the gate just as I was about to open the gate, I felt a heavy thing land at the back of my head, before I know it my vision turns. Blurry a darkness engulfed me.

My eyes flashed open, and I felt a sharp pain on my head, making me to clench my eyes tightly. I took in the surrounding as earlier event flashed through my mind Lydia. I heard the sound of clapping hands.

"You finally woke up" Tom smirk  crossing his arms in front of his chest, I was about to stand up when I noticed am sitting on a chair hands and leg tied.

"Where is Lydia? I swear if you..." Before I could complete my sentence, I spot Lydia tied to a chair too. Her face looks pale, and her hair is in a mess, a tear roll down her eyes making my blood boil. I tried to release myself from the rope, but it seems the rope is tied tightly.

"I swear Tom, if you touch her I will kill you" I shouted. He settle himself on a chair facing me, and pull out a gun.

"I kill you and let her go or I kill her I let you go" he smirks.

"Nobody is dying but you are" I look him straight in the eye.

"Please Tom, stop this what will you gain by doing this" she pleaded.

"What will I gain? You are paying the price of what Zion did"

"He didn't do anything, he just warned you" Lydia breathed in, tear are still flowing down her cheeks continuously.

"Just shut up" he roar in anger. Suddenly five big men entered with pistol on their hands.

"You see this men, they are very strong" he turned to the men.

"Beat him up" am trying to untie my hands but I can't, the pistol collided with my back, I felt a sharp pain. I heard Lydia's voice pleaded Tom to stop but he seems to enjoy the action. Little did he know is storm is coming his face. A smirk form on my bruised lips.

"Let him" Tom interrupted. He once again sat on the chair pointing the gun towards Zion, looking straight at me.

"I give you 10mins to say whatever you want to say to him before I kill him".

"Please Tom don't kill him kill me instead"

"No..No I will not kill you, you're mine"

he laugh out loud making the big men to join him in unison. He point the gun once again at me, and we  heard a loud bang.
