16 Chapter 16

Lydia

Even though Zion assured me everything will be fine, I still feel unsecured. He drove me back to our hostel, I thank him and bid him goodnight. The moment Nicole saw me she rushed towards me and started bombarding me with questions.

"Lydia, are you okay"

"I hope tom didn't do anything to you" she said with a worried face.

"Calm down Nicole, he didn't do anything, am fine" I assured her and she sigh in relief. She kept quite for a while before she speak again.

"Did you tell Zion? You know... about you and tom" she question

"Yes I told him" I walked to the fridge and took one bottle of orange juice.

"So what will happen now"

"I don't know, I just wish tom will not do something stupid. I know what he's capable of" I rinse the cup and place it  in it's  rightful place.

"Don't worry, I know Zion will protect you"  my eyes felt heavy I need a sound sleep

"Goodnight Nicole" I went pass her to my room.

"Night lydi"

I laid flat on my bed, staring at the ceiling, I suddenly thought of my mom I miss her, I will call her tomorrow. Before I know it I drifted to sleep.

I was sited on a chair, hands tied and my eyes covered with a blindfold. I suddenly heard footsteps approaching me.

"Who are you" I shouted. The blindfold are removed from my eyes. Shock evident on my eyes to the person I saw Tom.

"Are you happy to see me" he said touching my cheeks I felt disgusted.

"What do you want" I spit.

"I want you two to suffer for humiliating me" his face few inches from mine.

"Who do you mean" he laugh out loud.

"You'll see"

he took his phone from his pocket to make a call. I was sited for almost an hour with tom towering behind me, he's been smiling to me. There must be something that he's planning. Some goons entered holding someone, the goons are up to ten.

"Well well who do we have here"

tom said, I was shocked to see the guy tom is talking about Zion. His face pale, and he has a cut on his lips oh my god.

"Lydia" his voice sound weak, he tried to fight the goons but they are too strong.

"Don't you dare touch her" he spit out.

"Trying to act brave huh?" He took out a gun from his pocket and point at Zion

"NO!" I shouted.

"Tom please don't" I pleaded

"Wow trying to save your lover, its too late baby am going to kill him right in front of your eyes" tears welled up my eyes

"Please..." Before I could finish my sentence I heard a gunshot

"NO!!"

I woke up to see a worried Nicole looking at me. it was a dream.

"Are you okay, you've been screaming in your sleep" she help me sit up and I wiped the sweat on my forehead

"I had a bad dream" I told her about the dream.

"It was just a dream, nothing will happen"

"What's the time now" I asked her

"8:30"

"What? We are almost late for class"

"Don't worry, the class is starting by 9:30, you have 30mins to get ready" I quickly walked to the bathroom and took  a quick shower. I wore a pink tank top with skinny jeans, Nicole has already made breakfast.

We made our way towards the class, I saw Zion already in class I was surprised because Zion has never been in class early. I sat next to him.

"Hi, you're early today"

"Hi, yeah kind of...want to surprise you" he said looking at my face. I felt my cheek burn, I rolled my eyes.

"Stop kidding me"

"Am not, be prepared because I will continue to surprise you" before I open my mouth to reply, the professor came in.

"Good morning everyone, as you know end of semester exams is approaching, so were going to cover up the syllabus" exams! I hate exams.

The class is over and were walking to the cafeteria when Zion pulled me towards him.

"We will meet you guys later, am gonna steal her for a while" he wink at Nicole and James

"Where are we going" I asked him

"You'll see miss Lydia"  this guy is full of surprises.
