10 Chapter 10

I woke up with a headache I drank a glass of cold water and then went to the bathroom to take my bath after showering I wore a simple tank top and black skinny Jeans. My thought wandered to last night event 'gosh today gonna be a long day' I whispered to my self.

I heard someone open the door I know its Nicole and I sigh.

"So you finally woke up" said Nicole

"Yeah.. I was very tired last night"

"I know you will be...so minding explaining to me about last night" Nicole said when a serious look, I sigh

"OK...hm..you know about it already Nicole" I sat down, Nicole sat next to me waiting for me to talk.

"Ok..you know there was some guy I bumped into me...I told her all that happened"

"Oh my lydi...Zion is acting sweet. I wish I was there to witness everything"

"Wait..where were you you just went off" its my turn now to listen to her explanation.

"Come on lydi its not like am gone forever I just went out with a friend and while coming back I heard that Zion fought with someone" hmm something is fishy with how Nicole is blushing

"Really minding tell me who the friend is...girl or a boy."

"Oh lydi he's just a friend nothing more"

"I know he's a friend but I think there is something going on by the way you are blushing."

"Gosh lydi we are almost late for class" I checked my watch its almost time for our lectures. So we ate quickly just toasted bread with orange juice.

On our way to the class we met james. "Hi lydia , hi Nicole" he greeted us with a smile James is a nice guy and handsome always smiling to people not like that grumpy jerk. So we went to our class the class is noisy because today is a general class.

After sometime the class started everybody attention is on the lectures. I can't help looking around zion is not in class what Nicole get yourself together stop being worried for him . I brushed the thought away and continue concentrating after we are through the lecturer gave us group assignment. I checked the names me and zion , Nicole and James wait what? Oh my I will have to work together with him i know when he finds out he will be happy so that he will get a chance to humiliate me an I won't let that happen.

We went to the school cafeteria I turned around and everyone is looking at me and whispering I know what they are talking about, me and Zion being in the same group. We are sitted me, Nicole and James .

"Lydi this group assignment is gonna be lit" I rolled my eyes I know what she mean. I don't even know what the assignment is about the lecturer is going to send it through our email. We are eating and chatting quietly I look towards Zion's table and I find his cronies sitting but not him.

"Hey lydi why is Zion not present in school today?" Nichole asks

"How am I supposed to know that?

"Hey. Just asking" she raises her hand in surrender.

  Just then Zion walks into the cafeteria. Just the sight of him send chills down my spine. He is dressed in a plain black T-shirt, black jeans and a black jacket. The T-shirt does very little to cover his ripped arm muscles and his flat,six pack tummy. I raise my head to look at his face and I find him looking at me with a mocking expression.

I turn red all over my face with the realisation that he found me checking him out.He smirks and starts walking towards me. Wait,why is he walking towards this table?!!.

He stands directly in front of me with the same smirk plastered on his face.

"What re you doing here?" I ask him

"Is it a crime for me to want to sit with my girlfriend?" He says loud enough for everyone to hear him.

I look over at nichole to make sure my ear is not deceiving me and I find her looking between me and Zion dumbfoundedly. Yep I did not hear wrong. I open my mouth to argue with him but better again decide against it.

"No. Of course not" I give him a fake smile and he immediately sits next to me. Too close actually.

"Better"he says giving me a smile that says I would have killed you if you had said something else.

I lose my appetite and my half eaten sandwitch suddenly looks unappetizing.

"So....how's life? "He asks nonchalantly

"My life is wonderful just how I imagined my college life to be."note the sarcasm

"Hope that jerk didn't try anything stupid again?." He says and his eyes  turn dark for a moment.

"Nope. How could he when you made sure of some things."I mutter the last part.

I look around the cafeteria and find all eyes on me even Nichole and James are gaping at us like fish.

Just then the bell rings and I have never being happier.

"Ok I guess lunch is over. See you later byeee." I pick up my bag and literally race out of the cafeteria.
