CHAPTER TWO- You have been warned!

"Now getting to these heavy boxes, maybe I should at least arrange them."

"My books in this box, gotta keep it somewhere safe."

"Ah...As to all my mom's stuff I should ask her before touching it, I'll just keep these boxes on the table here then" Haru said to himself picking a little box to keep it up on the dining table besides him.

Just as he reached out time stops still and without the blink of an eye he suddenly trips over a box ;he didn't notice before. Hitting hard on the ground he lets out a sigh of distress. Looking around everything has fallen apart from the box he held.

"Man! What a drag!"

He picks up all the unkempt things and puts it back into the boxes

There are many old books, letters from like the 90's ,posts, some photos of her mother, and random papers that did not even deserved being saved up for that long, so preciously.

"Ah...Mom's treasures?"

He took little glances of the things as he kept them inside in its place. At that moment he saw a white envelope where on the top there was something written in black ink which attracted his attention.

It read;- 1996, KUMAMMOTO, SHINTAMA HIGH SCHOOL STAFF PHOTOGRAPH.

"Eh? What's this?" He slightly opened the envelope and saw a black-and-white photograph which seemed to be as written on the title; a photo of the teaching staff at Shintama back in 1996. Him being unsure of its existence here, noticed her mother was in it too.

"Mom worked at Shintama? It's 1996 so before I was born. No wonder she never told me about it." Haru thought to himself.

Being immersed in that deep thought a sudden realization hits him up...he noticed that there was a blank position next to his mom, like no one was standing there;as if someone from that place had just disappeared, some people where there next to the blank spot, why did they not cover it up?

Just the next moment Haru sees a blurr vision, he blinks his eyes and rubs them with his fingers. And in an instance he saw an image appearing in front of him slowly. The blank place is no longer blank. Suddenly there is a handsome young man who stood tall,he had wavy long black hair,he wore glasses and is now standing next to the woman.

Haru being stunned rubs his eyes again and again.

"Maybe I am just hallucinating.... too tired now. I need some sleep."

He keeps the things back in their places. And goes off to bring in, the letters that were overflowing outside at the post-box.When reaching near the gate.

"Haru!" an old voice calls out his name.

He looks out to see its the grandma next door....who always treated him with sweets when he lived here.

"I see you are back....come here you little boy,you have grown up so much...How many years has it been since I last saw you huh?" the short old woman in her 80's said looking up at Haru

"Hello Mrs.Ishida its been long and you are as fit as you were before." he replied back in a gentle voice.

Haru loved old people, and spending time with them made him feel somehow calm, its like he can easily sit up and have a conversation with a group of old people rather than have any interaction with a fellow peer.

"How's your mother huh?" the old lady questioned.

"She is adapting well to the lifestyle of Tokyo and she seems better than before but there's still a lot of stress she takes up at work."

"She has always been hardworking. And how's her memory doing?"

"Well its the same as before but it doesn't harm her anymore"

'When I was was not yet born my mom lost her memory in supposedly a car accident , which made her forget everything, about her and around her. As for my dad, he left us before I was even born or before my mom had the car accident. There is not a single picture of him...anyways he's dead for me... I was curious of who he was? How he looked like? But I don't wanna force my mom to remember things that are better off forgotten.'

"Ah... At least now I can chit-chat with someone, I won't die as a lonely old hag." the woman said

"I'll be glad to hang out with you again Mrs.Ishida." he smiled.

I pulled out the post-box and the letters flooded down, picking it all up I thought of checking the other house-requirements.

Water supply; CHECK,electricity; CHECK,the security system; UN-CHECK, the backdoor lock seems to be broken, it needs to be repaired also its iron seems to have rotten...so I guess we have to change the entire door. Filled food stock ;CHECK,Cleaned the house before assembling ;CHECK...Assembling;UNCHECKED I'll do it tomorrow, maybe after school.

'It was past mid-night the clouds had turned dark and gloomy, the crickets were chirping, dogs howling, the night was as black as charcoal. Haru was now fast asleep unknown of the storm that awaits him tomorrow.'

"WHERE ARE YOU GOING?"

"MINA! STOP RIGHT THERE"

"MINAAAAAAAAAA?"

"HARU"

"HARUUU"

"HARUU"

.

.

"HAUHAUU....HAUHAAA...HAUHAA"

I suddenly woke up in the middle of a horrible nightmare. What was that? A sudden chill went down my spine as I tried to recall the dream. I saw Mina, going towards a light climbing on air like a staircase and in the next second the same white light struck my eyes making everything around it dissolve in its brightness and suddenly ,she disappeared. I don't know what was happening its like she was being pulled. I tried calling her name again and again but she couldn't hear me. And I heard many voices, calling out my name .

"Right! Mina!" a realization struck him as he put out his trembling hand here and there, around his bed trying to reach out to his phone. He dialed a number and called Mina.

'THE NUMBER YOU ARE TRYING TO REACH IS CURRENTLY UNAVAILABLE,PLEASE TRY AGAIN LATER'

"Ah...What am I even doing? Calling her at 3 am? Of course she is asleep."

Tucking himself back to his bed Haru tried to get some sleep.

"I am just too tired"

NEXT MORNING

'The birds were chirping and humming in joy,the sun had risen bright and calm, the flowers of Sakura were in full bloom this April, the lives of people had already begun fresh and new. It was an energetic day for the people at Kumamoto. But not for Haru.'

"AHH...! I couldn't sleep at all." Haru complained while yawning into sleeplessness.

"Why don't humans change NIGHT into DAY and DAY into NIGHT, that way I can have more time to sleep."

'The sound of hot water showers sizzling down on the floor, the warm air that surrounds. Haru wraps a towel around his upper-waist and steps outside from his bath room. While vigorously drying off his hair he puts on a perfectly new white shirt, along a black trouser,he wears his full-sleeved black coat with yellow buttons up to the navel. Stroking his hair lightly with his fingers.'

"Hmm...It doesn't need to be combed" he says lazily.

He puts in his white socks, takes his dark-blue shoulder school bag which has a small teddy key-chain hanging from the straps of the bag.

Running down the stairs he keeps his bag at the dinning table quickly grabs a bread applying butter to a side he stuffs it in his mouth.Taking a bunch of keys and picking his bag up back ,he runs towards the door puts on his black shoes and steps out of the house while ensuring he has locked the door properly. He reaches outside the gate.

'Haru has a fine body figure,he is tall with height ranging to 178 cm. Asian skin toned with mono-lids, his face glowing like a lamp of light. He had dark eyes that glittered like stars, shinning like a night sky;his black wavy hair parted down that reached covering most of the part of his eyes, with a sharp neck and jawline...... But overall Haru was dark and gloomy, he looked as if someone had pulled out the life from his body. His eyes felt as cold as ice. With a seemingly uninterested and expressionless look. Always having a dull straight face. Always silent.'

He then stops near the gate when he sees a new letter that is cautiously sticking out of the little hole of the post-box.

"HUH?What's this?"

"Did I not take all the letters in?" he thought to himself.

He reaches out to the letter and takes it.

'To- Haru Fujiwara'

"Eh? Its addressed to me"

He raises his hand looking at the watch on his wrist making sure there is enough time for school to start. He leans back to the wall next to the gate.

While curiously opening the letter he sees it is hand-written. But somethings more strange about it as he begins to read.

it read;

...............................

Dear Haru,

Welcome back to Kumammoto. We were awaiting your presence here. Heard you joined Shintama High School again? Your mom must be happy seeing his kid go to the same school where she taught. But I must warn you before you decide to take on this journey which you never should've on the first place. But now that you are here anyways make sure that you do,only what you have to. Go to school, come back safely. Don't get involved in any nonsense rumors in or outside Shintama. Don't get involved in anything that is not your business. Don't go to lonely, strange places where there are no people around. If you want your only family;your mother and your best friend;Mina ,safe then take this not as an advice but as a warning.

You've really grown up to be a fine young man. I hope you take good care of your mother and of yourself.

Regards.

.........................

Several questions kept circling around Haru's head

"Why is there no sender address or a senders name??"

"How does this person know about my personal life?"

"How does this person know I am back to Kumammoto?"

"Who is this person to me? Why were they awaiting my presence? We?"

"What's the problem if I join Shintama? Again?"

"How does this person know my mom?And also that she worked at Shintama?"

"What journey? What rumors?"

"Why should I not get involved in the thing they don't want me to get involved?"

"If I do, how does that harm my family and friend?"

"And why does it concern you at all?"

"I've grown up? Is this person watching me?"

WHO?WHAT?WHY?HOW?

What the hell is with this warning?

Before Haru could get any answers to the questions that had rose in his mind. He had another big question he himself doesn't know.

<"And why did we suddenly decide to move to Kumammoto? Instead of staying at Tokyo?"> he questioned himself while raising his head to look up the clear blue skies.
