Serpent's Lair

Many of you asked about the working of system?

The answer is system acts like a program build to help him to get best results of his work.

Like In previous chapters where he read a book and asked system to use that knowledge to create a proper plan.

And its stats is just numerical representation of his development.

You can see his precision is low because he never practiced to such extent which he did with others.

I did it because it will not be the system which will make him stronger it will his own talent.

If you have any doubt comment it.

"AmbitionAscendant."

The door of the Slytherin common room swung open, revealing a room adorned with green lamps, dark chairs, and leather sofas. The common room extended underneath the Great Lake, casting a green tint over the space. Tapestries adorned the walls, and a large mantelpiece added to the grand, rather than cozy, atmosphere.

Low-backed black and dark green button-tufted leather sofas filled the room, along with skulls and dark wood cupboards. One wooden table held a Wizard's Chess set, while tapestries depicting the adventures of famous Medieval Slytherins adorned the walls. The room exuded a grand atmosphere, yet it also felt somewhat cold and imposing.

As they entered the common room, they saw Professor Snape standing in the middle of the room.He was surrounded by older students and Professors seemed to be talking to a boy,

he has.

He gathered all the first-years and began,

"First-years, listen carefully, cause I will not repeat myself. Congratulations on being sorted into most prestigious houses among all four. There are some important matters we need to discuss.

Firstly, if you find yourself in conflict with a fellow Slytherin, it is imperative that you resolve it internally, within the confines of our esteemed house.

Secondly, once you step beyond these doors, remember that you are united as Slytherins. We stand together in strength and solidarity.

Thirdly, losing house points is utterly unacceptable. Therefore, ensure that you do not break any rules, and if by chance you do, make certain not to get caught.

Fourthly, ensure that you diligently study the potion book. I will be posting questions in class, and it is essential that you are prepared.

Now, the prefects will attend to the remainder of your needs."

With those words, Professor Snape departed.

A tall, older black-haired boy, wearing the Head Boy badge signifying his position, stepped forward from the group Professor Snape had been addressing and gathered all the Slytherin students.

"Hello, for those who don't know me, I am John Avery, the Head Boy of Hogwarts," he said, introducing himself in a neutral tone.

"Most of you already know, but just for your information, I am a pureblood from a pureblood family. The Avery family is part of the Sacred 28," he added, sweeping his gaze over the first-year students.

"Before everyone goes to their dormitories, I want the first-years to introduce themselves, including their family and blood status," he continued, settling back in an armchair.

"I am Draco Malfoy. I am a pureblood from a pureblood family, with a direct relation to the Black family, also a part of sacred 28" Draco announced proudly.

"I am Selina Malfoy. I am also a pureblood from a pureblood family," Selina introduced herself.

"I am Daphne Greengrass. I am a pureblood from a pureblood family, a sacred family," Daphne stated.

"I am Tracy Davis. I am a half-blood from an ordinary family," Tracy said, her head lowered as she looked at the ground, while some students sneered or laughed at her blood status.

"I am Rose Potter. I am a half-blood from the Potter family," Rose announced proudly, holding her head high to showcase her pride in her name.

"Nigel Black," he casually said. All waited, but when he said nothing more, they understood that his surname was enough.

With Nigel's introduction concluding the introductions, Prefect Gemma Farley stepped forward.

"Your names would l be inscribed on the doors of your rooms. You will be sharing your room with three others. The boy's dormitory is on the right side, and the girls' dormitory is on the left side. Be warned, the girl's dormitory is enchanted to prevent any boys from entering," the prefect explained.

As Nigel approached his dormitory, he saw only his name inscribed on the door. He quickly understood that the total number of students is eleven with six girls and five boys, for girls 4 in one and 2 in other and for boys

4 in one and 1 in the other.

He opens the door and sees;

In the dormitory, the four-poster beds were swathed in luxurious green silk hangings, evoking a sense of elegance and tradition. At night, the gentle sounds of the nearby lake echoed through the room, soothing the weary minds of the students. Silver lanterns cast a warm glow from the ceilings, illuminating the Slytherin crests adorning the walls. Medieval tapestries depicting the legendary exploits of Slytherin alumni adorned the stone walls, adding a touch of history to the space.

Each bed boasted green eiderdowns and curtains, accompanied by a wooden nightstand and school trunk. A wooden board flanked each bed, offering a place for personal belongings. Nearby, a wooden chair and dresser provided additional storage and seating. A book and parchment rested atop the nightstand, awaiting the attention of studious minds.

Across from the beds, a wooden bookcase housed a collection of tomes, while spherical lamps provided ambient lighting. A green carpet, emblazoned with the house crest, adorned the stone floor, leading to small alcoves nestled within the walls.

In the heart of the dormitory, a wooden table served as a focal point, adorned with books, an hourglass, and a Self-Writing Quill. A plant in a flower pot added a touch of nature to the space. Nearby, a centrally located stove provided warmth and comfort, creating a cozy atmosphere for the students of Slytherin House.

With Rose

As Rose parted from the common room to the dormitory, Rose arrived at the door where her name was inscribed along with Selina Malfoy's. Rose seemed perplexed because the prefect had mentioned sharing a dorm with three others, but she quickly recalled that there were only six girls. Therefore, it made sense for four to share one room and two to share another. Selina joined Rose, and upon seeing only two names, she promptly understood the arrangement and they entered.

Next Morning

The next day, Nigel woke up at 4 AM and proceeded to complete his morning routine, finishing by 4:30 AM. He decided to dedicate the time until 6:00 AM to sit-ups and push-ups since the curfew prevented him from leaving the common room.

At 6:00 AM

He left the common room. At six o'clock, the corridors were deserted, and there were no interactions with other students. Nigel exited Hogwarts and began his morning jog around the Black Lake, intentionally slowing his pace to familiarize himself with the surroundings. Along his route, he passed by various landmarks such as the Whomping Willow, the greenhouses where Herbology classes would soon take place, and the vegetable patch. As he jogged, he noticed the dense trees of the Forbidden Forest in the distance, but he decided to leave exploring it for another time, acknowledging that he wasn't yet prepared to protect himself from the potential dangers lurking within.

After completing his jog, Nigel took a moment to stretch. By the time he returned to his dormitory at 7:30 AM, only a few students were present, none of whom paid much attention to him. It took him almost half an hour to get ready for the day ahead.

When he came out he saw that the common room was filled with students and chatters,

Giving not any importance for now.

As he took a few more steps towards the exit, he was joined by two others, Rose and Selina.

"How was your night?" Rose initiated the conversation.

"Good, what about you?" Nigel responded.

"Same. You know, we have the room to ourselves, just the two of us," Rose said excitedly referring to her and Selina

"Congratulations. I have one to myself," Nigel replied with a smirk.

Rose pouted momentarily but quickly retorted

"Then you'll be lonely in your dorm. I feel sorry for you, so don't worry. Whenever you feel lonely, you can come to the common room; there will always be someone there."

"Haha, thanks, but I'm okay. So, how are you two getting along?" Nigel inquired, shifting the focus of conversation.

"She's a nice company," Rose replied, with a smile.

"Hii, And what about you? I hope Rose didn't create any problem for you. She might get excited sometimes but she is good at heart"He started a conversation with Selina.

Selina smiled and replied

"No, it's quite the opposite, she helped me"

They engaged in casual conversation as they made their way to the Great Hall, which was relatively empty as many students were likely running late. They seated themselves at the Slytherin table, served food on their plates, and began eating. As they ate, more students joined them, and soon the Great Hall was filled with the sounds of student's chatter and laughter. They finished their meal and awaited Professor Snape's distribution of timetables. Later, Professor Snape arrived and handed out timetables to all the students.

Their first class was Transfiguration with Gryffindor from 9:00 A.M.

Transfiguration classes were held in Class 1 on the first-floor, surrounded by high windows, had four rows of three desks, and still had enough room for several cages and bookshelves, two chalkboards, and a desk for the teacher. Several candlesticks stood lit behind the desk.

Nigel, Rose, and Selina were the first ones to enter. Upon entering, they noticed a black cat sitting on the teacher's desk. Nigel recognized the cat as Professor McGonagall, while Rose and Selina assumed it was the professor's pet. They chose the middle row, third bench, with Nigel in the middle and Rose and Selina on either side.

Moments later, the class filled with students and chatter. When the bell rang, signaling the start of class, all the students quieted down.

Soon after, they heard two pairs of quick, heavy steps approaching, growing louder with each passing moment. As the sound stopped in front of the classroom, the door opened slowly, revealing the figures of Ron Weasley and Neville Longbottom.

"Whoa, can you imagine the look on McGonagall's face if we were late?" Ron exclaimed as they entered. Their timing was impeccable, as the cat on the table suddenly transformed into McGonagall, impressing the students in the process.

"That was bloody brilliant," Ron complimented.

"Oh, thank you for that assessment, Mr. Weasley. Perhaps it would be more useful if I were to transfigure Mr. Potter and yourself into a pocket watch; that way, one of you might be on time," McGonagall threatened, her tone stern.

"We got lost," Neville hastily replied.

"Then perhaps a map. I trust you don't need one to find your seats," McGonagall responded, her tone softened slightly as they took their seats.

"Transfiguration is a very complicated form of magic in which the caster changes the very nature of an object, albeit temporarily. One small mistake, and you have a hideous animal to take care of or, worse, find yourself transfigured. If you were able to achieve mastery, you can do this," Professor McGonagall gestured.

She transfigured her desk into a pig and transformed it back, eliciting looks of amusement from the students. They are eager to try it themselves.

"Hold your horses, you are not ready for such a level of Transfiguration. We will start with the basics. Take out your parchment and take notes," she said before giving a lecture about the steps in Transfiguration. She explained how to transfigure a matchstick into a needle.

"Students, stop writing and pay attention," she announced, then took out her wand and pointed it at the matchstick on the table. With a flick of her wand and an incantation, she transfigured the matchstick into a needle.

"This is the first step in Transfiguration. Now, try it for yourself. Don't be disappointed if you aren't capable of achieving Transfiguration; no one has ever learned it in a single day," she reassured them.

With that, she distributed matches to the class, and students attempted to transfigure them but ultimately failed. Professor McGonagall, who was observing each student, noticed Nigel doing nothing but staring at his matchstick.

"Mr. Black, the matchstick will not transfigure on its own. Go ahead, give it a try," she said in a stern tone, eliciting chuckles from some.
