Minerva McGonagall sat in her office, the warm glow of the afternoon sun filtering through the windows, illuminating the parchment in her hands. With a furrowed brow, she carefully read the letter, her lips moving silently as she absorbed its contents. Suddenly, her eyes widened in shock, and her hand trembled slightly, clutching the letter tightly. Rising swiftly from her chair, she hastily tucked the letter into the folds of her robes and dashed towards Dumbledore's office, her expression a mixture of urgency and concern. With each hurried step, she held onto the letter, knowing its contents were of utmost importance.

Dumbledore, seated at his desk in his office, meticulously reviewed the intricate details of Hogwarts' affairs. However, his concentration was abruptly interrupted by the subtle yet unmistakable signal from the ancient wards of Hogwarts, alerting him to the imminent arrival of someone rushing towards his office. With a serene yet attentive demeanor, he stilled his movements, waiting patiently to receive whoever sought him out with such urgency.

Professor McGonagall stood before the staircase leading to the Headmaster's office, her hand poised to give the password to the enchanted gargoyle. With practiced ease, she whispered the secret phrase, causing the stone guardian to step aside, granting her passage. As she ascended the stairs, her heart raced with anticipation.

However, before she could even reach for the doorknob, the soothing voice of the Headmaster, Dumbledore, resonated from within the room, calling her name. Startled yet relieved, Professor McGonagall paused momentarily, her hand hovering near the door. With a faint smile, she composed herself and pushed open the door, entering the Headmaster's office to face whatever awaited her.

She hurriedly approached the Headmaster's table and presented Dumbledore with the letter. Dumbledore's curiosity grew at seeing the typically stoic and collected professor so worked up. He offered her a lemon drop, which she refused, and she pushed the letter towards him. Dumbledore, taking a lemon drop slowly, only increased the professor's irritation. He slowly took the letter, but upon seeing its contents, albeit momentarily, his face lost color.

Before she could observe further, he composed himself, reread the contents, and confirmed its authenticity. With a sigh, he placed the letter on the desk, took out his glasses, and stood up, readjusting his attire as he addressed her.

"This is a concerning matter. It's fortunate that many don't know the name of the orphanage, but his surname carries the weight of the biggest betrayal in the wizarding community, and everyone knows it. He will undoubtedly face discrimination," Dumbledore gravely replied.

"I concur, Professor. We must disseminate information about his condition to whichever house he is selected for. We should notify the head of the house, prefects, head boy and girl, and all the professors that they must not harbor any ill feelings towards him. We must emphasize that they should scrutinize their houses as well," Minerva concluded.

"Very well, Minerva. Day after tomorrow, you will go and fetch him and introduce him to the wizarding world and its wonders like any other student. Take him to Gringotts for his heritage test. Until he can fully claim his heritage, he will receive funds for his studies as any orphanage should," Dumbledore finalized.

After Professor McGonagall departed, Dumbledore stood by the window, immersed in contemplation about the profound mysteries the future held.

"Let us discover the enigmatic wonders that await you, Nigel Black," he murmured with a solemn tone, acknowledging the weight of destiny.
