Harry Potter: World on Fire

A studious boy meets a tragic end at the hands of the infamous Truck-Kun. But is it truly the end? Or just the beginning of something more? Reborn into the most secretive and ancient family of wizards, the Pendragons, he becomes the last heir to a lineage that has wielded magic since the dawn of wizardry itself. Far stronger than the sacred Twenty-Eight, their unparalleled power has drawn the envy and wrath of rivals, reducing the once-mighty family to rubble. Stripped of his birthright and adopted by a muggle family, the young Pendragon bides his time, concealing his true identity. But now, the time has come for his awakening. The world will tremble under the reign of the Lord of Fire as he reclaims his legacy and unleashes his fury upon those who betrayed his family. Devastation follows the dragon. His shadow will be the last thing they see. discord: https://discord.gg/ZexRV5gqu9 I don't own any of the characters except OC's I just like to play in J.K Rowling's world :) Just started writing novels so please be patient as I get better over time. I do not own the cover of this novel, credit goes to: Joshua Raphael on Artstation. IF the artist wishes for me to take this down, please leave a message! Otherwise, please check his art out, its amazing. Before you start reading the reviews I advise you to read for yourself first, positive or negative reviews might give you a wrong pre based idea on the story, many great stories on this website have horrible reviews and many poor stories have positive ones, you are the judge of your choice don't let others make you refuse a story just because their opinion of it is different of yours. Happy reading :)

"Wow, so he went to Hawaii and decided to stay at Ilvermorny? I Wonder what type of school that's like?" Seamus said as he curled his arms around the backrest.

"Well," Dean spoke up, pulling a book from a small bag by his waist, catching my attention. "You have one too…." I mumbled.

"Oh, this thing?" Dean asked, noticing my reaction before looking down at his bag, "It's not that big, but it's better than bringing around a trunk and books don't you think?"

"Oh, quit your bragging…." Seamus scoffed, "… it's not… bragging," Dean responded with a puzzled expression. But he quickly focused back on the topic at hand as he peered at the book in his hands, "as I was saying, Ilvermorny was founded b a couple, Isolt Sayre and her muggle husband, James Steward. Isolt was originally from Europe before migrating to the Americas for some reason.

The reason is not mentioned, sadly, but it is said that the school is one of the best in the world. Renowned for producing astonishing wizards like Seraphina Picquery, who had a hand in Grindelwald's short-lived capture before his spontaneous escape.

Other cases include the hero of the monster incursion, Percival the first. He single-handedly killed the brood mother of the silver-backed spider queen. That is but a drop in the ocean. They are also known for the magnificent tournament held between Ilvermonry and Mahoutokoro, Japan's own school of witchcraft and wizardry."

"Oh-oh, so when is this tournament?" Padma asked excitedly.

"Well, interestingly enough, one's being held this year, with the location being Japan this time round. Set to be held on the first of November and run for a full week. But before that, selections begin within the school, running for the last two weeks of October. It's a global event, and hundreds of wizards from across many different countries travel to watch. Sometimes, headmasters from different schools come to spectate from time to time."

As I heard Dean talk, a hint of unease crept along the walls of my mind, a sort of itch I couldn't quite reach. But I knew Tom was related somehow. He wasn't the type to stay quiet when something of this magnitude was occurring without directly inserting himself right into the middle.

If I didn't know better, he might be competing. Yet, I didn't quite know how much he had improved. He was definitely strong, maybe close to the 5th and 6th years. Still, it will be difficult for him to manage against Ilvermorny and Mahoutokoro, who are renowned for their combat and educational prowess.

"Wouldn't it be great if Tom entered? Wouldn't we see him on the news?" Seamus said spontaneously, causing everyone to look at him oddly. Padma laughed, "as much as I would love to see such a ludicrous thing happen, he's a second year, and no amount of study will manage to bring him up to their level. Furthermore, from a logical point of view, he lacks combat experience and knowledge on a vast number of spells to really compete."

Dean nodded, patting Seamus, "as much as that would be awesome, it's simply unrealistic."

"Well, I wouldn't be so sure. As far as I have observed, Tom seems to keep his cards close to his chest. He, on many occasions, has exhibited traits of an arrogant person, this can stem from many things, but we cannot rule out that it could involve magical prowess far superior to what we give him credit for. Take Hermione's super strength without using a spell, for example." Finally, Parvati spoke, causing the room to fall silent.

Dean and Seamus turned to me questioningly, "super…." Seamus started, "strength?" Dean finished.

Padma explained the incident causing the two boys to gasp. The way they looked at me changed slightly. Their gaze seemed to contain more respect, with trace amounts of shame and envy swirling within.

"But sister, given all that you have said, it's still not reasonable to suggest that he is strong enough to take 5th, 6th, even 7th years on, is it?" Padma asked.

"Well…" Parvati raised her head from her book and peered at me, "considering how much they could have progressed without our knowledge last year, what if that same person was now given access to state-of-the-art facilities and knowledge with better teaching staff? I wouldn't rule it out. As far as Europe has progressed in it, magic can be boiled down to a science. However, that cannot be applied to all continents. How they use magic can vary largely or not at all. Let's wait and see. But, considering the limited time I have observed him if he can help himself, he will somehow attempt to find a spot." Parvati said lightly before turning to her book again.

Her words stunned me. I couldn't help but slightly fear her, in all honesty. Well, I didn't know if it was fear or just deep respect masked as fear, but what she had said was all spot on. Even the part about us presuming him to be weaker than he might be, I knew him best. As someone capable of outstudying even me, I would be surprised if he didn't find a way to make himself stronger.

"Well, we will have to wait for the paper to report it then, won't we?" Seamus said excitedly.

"Not necessarily…" Dean said with a smile inciting curiosity in everyone.

"I heard that Dumbledore is a fan of this tournament, so much so that we might be able to use the transmission stone to watch from school with his permission. Maybe we can get the headmaster to make it a whole school event. Especially if we tell him that Tom might compete. As a Hogwarts alumnus, he would be representing the honour of Hogwarts, if not partially."

Seamus snapped his fingers and jumped from his seat, "hahahaha! Dean, you genius, what a bright idea, this way, we can watch Tom live and potentially skip school simultaneously. Two birds, one stone!"

"Someone say skip school?" A slightly nasally voice asked before a head of red hair came peered through the door. Below him, another head, one with a scar on his forehead. I couldn't help but sigh. This room might become crowded at this rate.
