The rest of the day went by quick afterwards. There was nothing eventful to do apart from dinner, chatting about random topics and playing some more chess which Achlys got a lot of pleasure out of. It seems that finding a good match for him was easier than I had thought.

As I sat down by the fire listening to everyone talk I noticed several things. Jenna seemed to be interested in Percival as she continued to glance his way from time to time. this brought a smile to my face as I observed it from the corner of my eye so as to not give it away.

Robert was doing the same but looking at Abby who was too busy reading some of the notes I had written down for her pertaining to some spells I had learnt during last year. Spells she hadn't fully grasped yet and was having a little trouble but nothing too major that time couldn't fix.

Using my notes, I was sure that her spell pool would expand and subsequently, her overall power would too. I also put in some physical exercises and the reason behind it. she didn't seem to care since she never argued about it.

I wriggled my way across the couch until I was next to Percival who was reading a book on chess and the different strategies one could use.

"So, are you going to tell me who your crush is?" I asked in a hushed voice so as to not attract attention.

Instantly Percival shut his book as his cheeks turned slightly red. He glanced in Jenna's direction much to my surprise.

My laughter subsequently rang out in the homeroom attracting the attention of everyone around.

I calmed down quickly while waving my hand dismissively.

"Nothing to see, just a joke Percival told me," I said before turning to the boy in question who was glaring at me reproachfully.

I tapped him on the shoulder lightly with a chuckle, "relax, your secret is safe with me. but trust me, you don't need my help. You'll come to know that it is far easier than you thought." I said cryptically.

Percival arched a brow in confusion, "what does that mean? What should I do?" he asked in a whisper.

"Well, all you have to do is get her alone and make a move. Start off with some small talk. You know the usual weather bullshit, complaining about the teachers, crack some good but timely jokes to warm her up before making a move on her. Trust, it's really that simple. Well, it sounds simple, but it will probably be daunting and nerve-wracking, but I believe you'll do well." I encouraged.

"Is that so…" Percival responded while bowing his head in thought. He took a quick glance at Jenna who was reading a book enthusiastically and smiled slightly.

"Thank you, Tom. I'll follow your advice." He said before getting up.

"Where are you going?" I asked.

Percival pointed at the roof, "to bed man. It's night already. We have potions with Brambleton. I doubt you have the balls to be late for that guy's class." He teased.

I thought about the punishment and sighed before nodding my head.

Everyone seemed to be in accordance with his words as they all got up, packed their stuff, tidied the area and left for their rooms.

I lagged behind, getting closer to Fred. As we walked behind the group I quickly grabbed his shoulder before he could react and disapparated.

Bang!

Fred fell to the floor on his ass the instant we arrived out of the teleportation.

He stared at Tom in confusion before getting up soon after and taking looking around.

A beach came into view. A massive expanse of crystal clear ocean water in front. The sand beneath and a beautiful night sky above him.

Where are we?" he asked curiously. He was neither afraid nor panicking but instead seemed more interested in where they were which made Tom laugh slightly.

"Hawaii." he responded before transfiguring some sand into a wooden chair. Taking a seat, he crossed his hands and leaned back while staring at the boy opposite himself.

"What?" Fred asked.

"You don't seem afraid," Tom responded, squinting slightly with a small grin while tilting his head to the side ever so gently.

Fred scoffed slightly, "let's be honest, if you wanted to do something bad to me, you wouldn't be sitting there would you?" he asked rhetorically with confidence. To make his point clearer, he adjusted his posture to a more comfortable one.

Tom couldn't help but nod before shaking his head causing Fred to frown but before he could respond, a metal man appeared behind him and kicked the back of his knees causing him to fall forward. he was now kneeling several meters away from him.

"Talk, who are you really? How do you know who I am?" Tom said in a commanding tone. A cold wind blew by Fred's face which subsequently sent a shiver along his body like lightning. he felt as if he was staring at death in the face. An innate fear began to take hold within him as he stared at those blue eyes.

"Fred Rassmussen. Son of George Rassmussen leader of the last clan of living werebears." He said seriously.

His words surprised Tom as he didn't expect such a revelation.

'Werebears?' he asked in his mind.

[Right, just like werewolves, there are other species. Werebears, weretigers, werelions so on and so forth. But they are different. They can control when they transform. Since only werewolves are seen in Europe, they were the only ones experimented on. That's why their power was all messed up.

The true werewolves have long gone extinct. I guess you could use this as a good example. Wizards tried to harness that power and synthesis and spread it to everyone. What they created was that shitty full moon werewolf that's more of a disease than anything else. Due to not being able to succeed, they killed all the werewolves.

So, I guess saying that muggles finding out about magic would bring about something similar wouldn't necessarily be wrong. since something similar did in fact occur. A sad day to be honest. But I'm surprised that we found a werebear, they are big creatures that can walk on two legs. Incredibly strong borderline matching 35% of your herculean strength spell.] Drak said honestly.

'Woah! 35% that's a lot Drak! I was able to blow back a beetle with only 5%.' Tom explained in surprise.

[As I said, they are strong. Werewolves weren't that strong, maybe only one-sixth at most, but they were much faster. This, like I just mentioned, prompted the greed of wizardkind.] Drak explained.
