15 Chapter 15 - Shadow Clones

School continued as normal as I spent the time digesting Voldeshort's school memories instead of actually paying attention.

I should be done with all memories not just the school ones by the time my first year ends and after that all I will need is practice.

With so much pressure about becoming stronger I couldn't really connect with my classmates much except for Tonks.

She seemed to understand somewhat of the position that I was in.

Flashback

Tonks: "Hey Harry"

She placed a sandwich and tea Infront of me as I was reading a book in the library.

Tonks: "You missed lunch"

"Thanks Tonks"

She stared at me for a bit before sitting down.

Tonks: "You know Harry, if you continue pushing yourself you will end up burning out.

I closed my book to look up at her.

Tonks: "I have no idea how to help you with your situation but you can ask if needed"

I stared at her and used mana sense making sure she wasn't being influenced to say this and then slowly nodded.

Harry: "No one not even myself can help me in my situation at the moment. I'm too young and weak to make any difference right now but when I can change things I'll let you know"

She seemed to read between the lines and nodded before leaving.

Back to Present

Anyway I am conduction my final tests on the mana pattern I guess you could call it to recreate shadow clones.

I have already set up a receiver in my mindscape and a basic AI to sort out all the memories of the clones that I receive.

I put my fingers into a cross just for dramatic effect and said 'clone umbra mens nexum'

An exact copy of me appeared beside me but instead of white smoke it seemed to crawl out of a black shadow.

Clone: "This is extremally strange. I know that I am a clone and I will seize to exist but it seems to not affect me."

"Interesting. I can even feel a small connection to you. If I focus I can see through your eyes even. It might have to do with the receiver. If I design the receiver a bit better and create a way to project my own mind as well as receive the memories it might become easier to connect to my clones."

Clone: "Yes, as you said my connection to you feels a lot stronger and I feel like I can send messages or my memories to you directly with no effort."

"Yes, one second let me try something."

I went into my mindscape and changed the receiver I created into a two way broadcasting point to see if that would improve the mental connection.

As soon as I did I could feel a strong connection to the clone and I could completely control him if I wished.

Clone: "Yes I can feel your presence even stronger now. With this we can finally up our practice and send a clone to classes"

I nodded at that and then went on to test the new spell.

It seems that with my reserves unlocked I can create up to 100 clones and there is almost no mental burden even if they all pop at the same time as the basic AI controls the flow of information coming back from the technique.

I also noticed that the clones are leaking mana and won't last for longer periods of time.

It must have to do with my mana control as even though I has raised to about 50% it is still not perfect.

I come up with a quick rune to stop the leakage and create a connection to my main mana reserves for the clone to use and that one back to the dorm to 'sleep', then attend classes from now on.

I decided to stay in the ROR for the next one and a half months until Christmas when father Christmas will give me the invisibility cloak.

I created the other 99 clones and focused on control first which even with the clones took me two weeks to get to 100% with my full reserves.

My mana skin could now make it to level 8 without a runic boost and complete level 10 easily with the boost.

The main thing that improved was my senses as I had my clones not only do the dodge and defense training set up by the ROR but also had them sling spells and rocks at each other.

I managed to complete the level 10 in the next two weeks regularly, blind, with only my hearing, and then with only my sense of touch.

The touch one one is extremally hard as I had to channel mana into my skin and increase the sensitivity so that I could feel the changes in the wind in the air or even the sensation of mana on my skin before anything hit me.

I could feel that I was getting close to something akin to observation haki so I continued to try and dodge with my other two senses my taste and smell.

This is something I still haven't figured out and haven't even passed level 1 with them but I think that if I could figure out how to sense mana with all of my senses independently then my mana sense will undergo some kind of evolution.

The next month I managed to practice a bunch of basic spells I could use that wouldn't arouse Dumble's suspicion and even improved my umbra kinesis so I could use it trip or lock someone in place without leaving a trace.

The shadow clone going to class has been sending me daily updates and it seems he is getting further pushed against Slytherin and his friendship with Cedric improved a bit when we sat next to each other during meal times.

Finally the greatest improvement as I finished my finished my senses training.

I can now passively sense everything in a 5 meter radius from me and actively sense for about 50 meters.

This includes everything in that radius not just magic.

I've also gotten a sort of danger sense but it is not very accurate yet.

With everything done I headed back to my dorm to sleep for the first time in months instead of sleeping in the ROR.

I had to plan how to get rid of all the abominations the goat fucker must have added to the cloak.

I mean how shameless can you be to gift me my own family heirloom, anyway his time will come.
