12 Forging a Ring.

He didn't need to do a silly dance or merry jig to get into the room of requirements.

It opened as he willed it, the castle moving to his will since it was more than happy to be used after so long of inactivity.

As he entered the room was continuing to shift to fit his need, he needed a miniature forge to heat up the metal and a few other items.

The room shifted around him until it felt like a cozy hut tucked away in the middle of the forest, away from all distractions and people.

A hut similar to Hagrids own, instead of a fireplace was a forge, the smoke ventilating out through the roof. The school itself would use its magic to displace the smoke for Harry as he pulled his backpack off his shoulders and set it down as he took the smaller foundry out of the forge's heat, it already heat up to the temperature needed as he began to dump the pure ingots of silver in.

Pushing the foundry back in and closing it off he let the metal begin heating.

He had about 8 minutes needed to melt the metal down to what he wanted it to be so he began to work.

Pulling out a remade mold he pulled out his wand, this had been something he was immensely thankful for, magic really was a wonder, especially with so little training as he had now.

Still, being the nephew of one of the best Transfiguration Witches of this time had its merits, and much a merit was he was already above basic level of transfiguration.

He began to mold the jewel steel on his hand, making what looked to be a framework, a network of thin metal that he placed into the metal. Thankfully jewel steel is near impossible to melt normally, took to change from magic much easier.

He needed this network of thin metal in the ring properly because when he would finish the heating and poured the metal into the mold, it would fill up around the network, and he could use it to make his neutral energy reach the entirety of the object.

It was hard at the foundation stage he was at to push energy into anything, but using this little trick would allow him to do it sooner than most.

Once the metal work was finished with the jewel steel, the silver finished and he was able to pour it slowly in the mold, using a bit of magic to make sure it filled properly without excess, using his wand to pull the excess away as he instead poured it into other molds that didn't have the jewel steel in them.

He was making four rings.

One would be a space ring, one that needed his personal energy to work, that was the first one he poured.

The second and third were both 'Magic Gathering' rings, they did nothing for normal wizards, and only Goblins rarely used them as it was harder for them to cast magic without assistance.

For Harry, however, it was a boon because it would naturally pull more magic into him, which in turn once he broke through the foundation stage, he could begin to mold the energy magic let off to fuel his growth, as well as help other stages of growth.

The fourth ring was for 'Magic Saturation.'

If the other two gathered magic, this ring would apply magic to him, to quicken healing. It was primarily to help his body heal faster, so he could work harder on training it without needing to worry about hurting himself.

He was already at the very limit a wizard body could be at any point, having this ring help him could make it easier to train, as well as allow him to train longer.

It wasn't a worry about how 'well' it would work, even a small amount would be helpful, even just a single drop of water was still more water than he had. That is how he viewed it.

He could feel the metal begin to cool, heightened senses for foundation building helped with that, and the school seemed to help him with it, letting him feel more then he usually would.

He waited until he was sure they would be cooled, then pulled the molds apart to look at the ring. Taking his time to add the finishing touches and smoothing them out. Once he made them properly he began to mold them softly with magic, fixing them to the right size, once that was finished he took the fine detailing tools he had and he began to carve the runes int othe ring.

It would normally be impossible to have a first year start working on rune carving, but Harry was already used to crafting artifacts, if anything it was simple to learn everything, it was just another more simple way to cast runes.

Once he finished he felt the magic began to get pulled into the rings, leaving them there as they gathered the magic as he then began to work on the energy ring.

Different runes, but much faster as he had remembered making hundreds of these back in the day.

Laughing with some of his brothers and sisters as they made them, the joy they had when having finished making their own.

Another memory that felt so long ago... Simply because it was.

Once he finished the runes he began to steadily pull energy from him to begin filling the ring, sliding it onto his left middle finger. It would take all night, but by the morning he would have a functioning storage ring.

The hut seemed to shiver around him as he turned to look at the other rings.

It seemed they had finished as well, putting the magical saturation ring onto his left index, and the two that gathered magic onto his right index finger and middle finger.

He flexed his fingers, feeling a bit more comfortable now that he had accessories, they weren't his old ones. But this was progress, and he could already feel the difference than them on.

He pulled everything into his backpack by using magic. Wordless magic was a breeze, however, Harry still used his wand, magic was too new to him for him to control it with his hands, but it wouldn't take him that long to master it.

Anyone who heard him think that might fly into a rage, Dumbledore was one of the greatest wizards of this time, and he had barely begun to master it.

Harry gathered everything and zipped his backpack up. Putting it over his shoulder before he spoke out loud.

''Thank you for the help.'' He rubbed his hand along the wooden table in the middle, it was a construction of magic, made by the school so Harry could feel the strong emotion of the school from it, he also felt something more, the school wanted to show him something.

The room shifted around him and he lowered to sit into a meditation pose. He let his magic flow out just as the school connected with him, his vision pulling away as he felt images enter his mind, images of a beautifully crafted diadem. The magic shifted before it pulled to him.

When he opened his eyes he noticed that diadem in front of him.

His right ring finger hummed as the formless ring that had all the houses he owned began to shift until the ring for Slytherin appeared, then Peverell.

The diadem shuddered in front of him until suddenly the ring shift to Pendragon, the magic pulsing around him as the protective charms activated and shielded his mind.

The Diadem was cursed, and it was in pain.

Without needing to consider his next action, Harry reached forward and grabbed it. The diadem grew warm to his touch and he felt it scream out in pain.

Hearing nothing he used the protective magic of the Pendragon ring to cripple whatever faulty protection and weak dark magic that was used to hold the Diadem as a slave.

Suddenly a dark whispy creature left it, roaring in pain before it was suddenly locked in a jar that appeared, the jar clattering to the ground as it all stopped suddenly.

The diadem relaxed in his hand and Harry lifted the jar in his free hand.

His eye twitched as he felt a pain throb across his head. Peering down to look at the soul as he was barely able to contain the venom in his voice.

''So it's you... You are the culprit as to why this body was fighting so hard for its own magic... Why to this day it is so hard to gather energy... Just you wait, come Christmas. I will deal with you.''

Harry's voice growled out, it was hard to be intimidating due to his youthful voice, but it got the point across as the wisp seemed to try and hide from him. Harry looked up, looking nowhere in particular.

''Can I leave it to you to hide this away until I am strong enough to deal with it? I might be able to use the Pendragons enchantments to force it out, but eradicating it... Not yet.''

He felt the school hum around him in affirmation, feeling the jar slowly tug in his hand before he let it go. The school seemed to take it, letting it fade away.

The diadem in his hand began to glow softly before it appeared as a ring, shining softly before it joined at his right ring finger where all the others were joined. It melded together with them.

Harry now owned 3/4's of Hogwarts, how lovely.

His eyes grew heavy, when the ring had added itself, it had also added the additional effects that came with it. The Diadem was originally made to increase mental strength and control of the mind. Now that it had shifted into the heir ring, its increase had grown explosively.

His tired mind was because of the sudden expansion of his mental skills, he could now feel the area around him, it was small but he could feel about five feet around him.

Without magic or energy, he used his mind itself to pull himself up. ''Bring me to my room, would you please?''

The school hummed around him, he could feel it a lot clearer now thanks to the strength added to his mind.

Just as his eyes began to close his body seemed to shift, the last thing Harry saw was his bed suddenly appearing beneath him as he landed on the bed. Glad it was a weekend now.
