Holidays

After enjoying the bliss of cuddling, Pro was then led to discussing the Room of Requirements with the curious Hermione. The couple talked about the secrets of the room and decided on a set of rooms that they would use, so that they could always find each other in the rooms if needed. After all, only one room can be opened at a time, and nobody else can enter unless they also need the same room.

Once they left the room, the two returned to being normal friends. Although they cuddled inside the secret room, the two decided cuddling out in the public was a different story. Hermione was definitely not ready to do so as she was shy. Still, it was a good thing that she wasn't so shy that she avoided Pro at every turn.

Even though they went back to their 'normal' relationship, they still get strange 'I understand what's going on' looks from their seniors from time to time. When asked, they would always reply they are too young, but didn't deny other questions pertaining to their relationship.

Well, basically they were marked as a couple by others, yet no one made a big deal about it since they said they were too young to date. Perhaps the only new problem that arose was that the side-character first year girls actually came to bother Pro a bit more; however, Pro politely kept them away.

On the other hand, the trouble-making duo of Harry and Ron didn't seem to notice any difference at all. As expected of the dense and insensitive boy. If there is anything that they would complain on, it would be the different treatment on homework.

"Blimey! How come Pro gets to copy off your homework Hermione? You won't let Harry and me copy, why does Pro get to?" Ron complained as he saw Hermione hand over her homework to me.

Lounging in the common rooms chair, Hermione continued to check the boys' homework as she calmly replied, "Well, I know that Pro can complete his assignments with no problem on his own. He only needs my homework for reference, unlike you two daft dimbos. If I handed over my homework to you, the professors might come talk to me about you two copying my homework. I might get in trouble, or even worst ... expelled."

"Bloody hell, you can't get expelled over homework! Is that all you can think about Hermione, being expelled? Don't you agree Harry?" Ron grumbled in complaint as he glanced over at the silent Harry, "Harry?"

"Huh? What?" Harry snapped out his deep thoughts as he glanced at his friends that were staring at him.

"Blimey, what's wrong Harry? It seems you're out of it mate," Ron asked in worry.

"Nothing. I'm fine. I've just been thinking about what Hagrid told us. Right, have any of you heard of Nicolas Flamel?" Harry replied with a question.

"Blimey, I've seem to heard of it, but I can't remember," Ron muttered as he glanced over at Pro and Hermione, "What about you two?"

"Nope," Pro gave a quick reply as he quickly completed his homework.

Hermione thought for a moment before replying, "I think I may have seen his name in some book, but I can't recall which one. I'll take some time to do some light reading, maybe I will be able to find him."

With that, the days continued as Pro gradually raised his levels. Unfortunately, the XP provided from reading continued to dwindle as more and more books are read. Books with similar information usually don't provide as much XP as a book with completely new information.

Due to the fact that he had already exhausted the XP from most of the first year to third year books in addition to many other books in the library, Pro spent more time grinding magic in the Room of Requirements and exploring Hogwarts to complete his quests.

After months of leisurely exploration and the focused exploration recently, Pro finally managed to find all 142 moving stairs and completed the Magical Stairs quest.

[Congratulations! You have completed Magical Stairs Quest. You are awarded: 2 Quest Point, 2 Antique Lamps, 1 Amulet of Magic]

Pro's eyes lit up in excitement as he saw the free XP lamps and the first equipment reward he got. Equipping the amulet of magic, Pro saw the small amulet materialize around his neck. Checking his equipment stats, Pro noticed that he got another +10 magic attack bonus, but it only applies to magic attack instead of magic in general like his wand.

After some tests, Pro knew that he could take the amulet off, but the amulet will automatically vanish and return to his inventory if he does so. The amulet also seems to be immune to destruction, but Pro doesn't know if high level spells like Fiendfyre can destroy it.

The first to notice the necklace was obviously the observant Hermione, but Pro fooled her by claiming that he found it in the storage of the Room of Requirements. After assuring her that it wasn't a dangerous dark magic item, Pro finally got this cutie off his back by distracting her with an invite to visit his house over the winter holidays.

After all, the two did discover that they didn't live far from each other in the Muggle world. In fact, they could even be considered to be neighbors. Pro also told Hermione about his wizard parents and convinced her to come so she can practice magic. Hermione was delighted, but also a bit nervous even though Pro told her his parents were nice folks.

The holidays soon arrived. Pro and Hermione took the train home to celebrate the holidays with their family. The two also spent some sweet time cuddling on the train with a compartment all to themselves. Pro truly enjoyed his current life. Quietly reading a book alongside while cuddling with another girl who also has the same hobby was a wonderful experience.

Of course, Pro also checked on his gains in his skill levels. His two antique lamps were obviously invested in his magic. With the XP from his hardcore grinding and the lamps, his magic rose up to level 19.

At level 16, the Verdimillious tria spell was unlocked in the Defense Against the Dark Arts spell book. This spell was an upgraded version of the green spark duo spell, dealing more damage and shooting further.

At level 17, the Lumos Solem spell was unlocked in the standard spellbook. The spell was simply a blinding flash of sunlight.

At level 19, the Box-blasting charm was unlocked in the standard spell book. The Flintifors transfiguration spell was also unlocked at level 19. This spell can turn a small target into a matchbox. As an added bonus, the upgraded version of the red spark spell, Vermillious Duo, was also unlocked.

Besides his magic skill, his other skills also had a sharp rise in level. Hunter was raised from 9 to 12, herblore was raised from 11 to 15, farming was raised from 7 to 10, and slayer was raised from 5 to 6. It need not be mentioned that Defense Against the Dark arts class is a joke. Even the XP of slayer mostly came from grinding books.

Pro also took some time to test out his new thieving skill. He discovered that it only made his presence dwindle a bit when he uses half-crouch, crouch, or crawl for his movement. At a low level of 2, this skill allowed him to sneak up on folks who don't pay attention and are looking in another direction. Still, he was easily noticed by other people, and there wasn't much he could blatantly steal to grind XP.

Arriving at the King's Cross station, Pro found his father waiting for him with a grin on his face. Gaining a nostalgic ruffle on his hair, Pro then heard daddy Joseph praise him as he examined Hermione's family not far away, "Not bad, not bad at all. That's my lil Pro, it seems that father has not taught you in vain. Although you two are a bit young, it's a good idea to start early. Daddy will support you all the way."

Giving Pro a wink, daddy Joseph dragged him over to the Granger's family and daddy Joseph began to greet them like in-laws, causing even Pro to feel a bit embarrassed. At first the Grangers were a bit wary, but after learning that the Smith lives in the Muggle world and that they were even neighbors, the parents quickly got along. Daddy Joseph even smoothly talked the Grangers into allowing their daughter to visit Pro's house.

It didn't take long for the parents to look over at Pro and Hermione with strange eyes full of gossip, causing Hermione to blush. Mrs. Granger even treated Pro like her own son as she gently embraced him, told him to take care of her daughter, and stated that he could visit their house anytime.

Pro's mouth twitched as he glanced over at daddy Joseph who gave him a wink. Still, Pro didn't break the happy atmosphere nor did the shy Hermione do anything. It didn't take long for the two families to bid farewell and return to their own homes.

It was then Pro was hit by another surprise. Glancing at the noticeable bump on mommy Beatrice's belly, Pro gave it a poke before glancing at daddy Joseph who proudly boasted about his hard work, "Hahaha! Daddy told you that he will work hard once you are gone. Now, lil Pro can have a little sibling soon!"

Of course, the boasting man was shut up by an angry pinch from the moody wife, "Joseph! Don't go teaching my precious darling naughty things. He is still too young!"

Joseph chuckled happily before dropping the bomb, "Hahaha! Lil Pro is not young anymore! He even found himself a girlfriend!"

Pro was then roasted by the clingy mommy Beatrice about his new girlfriend while nagging him over the fact that he was too young to be in a relationship. Pro finally persuaded her by explaining to her regarding the couple's unofficial agreement, which mommy Beatrice approved. Still, mommy Beatrice also wanted to meet Hermione to evaluate her.

Well, the hard working Hermione came to visit soon because she wanted to practice her magic. Needless to say, the cute and smart Hermione was a charm to the family. Her intellect that was fit for Ravenclaw made mommy Beatrice even happier.

Before Pro even realized it, mommy Beatrice's love and doting for him was switched over to Hermione. Now, daddy Joseph and Pro were hung out to dry as they sat like abandoned puppies in the living room while watching mommy Beatrice doted on her new daughter-in-law, Hermione.

Of course, Pro still got some alone time with Hermione. They spent the holidays studying magic together in his home. Although his house was smaller than Hermione's, daddy Joseph got them a wizarding tent expanded by the extension charm. There was plenty of space inside to practice magic, and they didn't have to worry about damaging the house in any way.

Pro also paid a couple visits to the Grangers and gained their approval. Pro was then able to happily walk Hermione back home every night, hand in hand.

It didn't take long for Christmas to arrive, and the two families even had a Christmas dinner together. The Grangers were amazed by the magical abnormalities of the Smiths house and were glad to know that their daughter would not be estranged from them once she fully enters the wizarding world. After all, the in-laws were also wizards and they lived nearby.

Well, although the in-laws part wasn't fully confirmed yet, the two families were still happy to get along with each other. Pro also exchanged Christmas gifts with Hermione. To vaccinate Hermione against Lockhart next year, Pro happily gifted her a Lockhart book and assisted her in studying all the shortcomings or possible fake points of the book. As for the real Christmas present, Pro got her a silver bracelet.

Pro also sent the default candy gifts to Harry and Ron. With the exception of poor Ron, Pro actually mostly got books in return, like Hermione. The two stared at each other and giggled as they realized their gifts were fairly similar. As he requested, there was also a special dragon-hide gloves gift from his parents. To free up slots, Pro took out the clothes from his inventory and stored the dragon-hide gloves in there instead.

As the holiday break came to an end, Pro also decided to drop his prepared hint regarding Nicolas Flamel. He mentioned to Hermione that he saw Nicolas Flamel's name on Dumbledore's chocolate frog card, leading to her excitement as if she finally thought of which books to search through once she returned to Hogwarts.

The holidays gradually approached an end and Pro was sent off after being nagged by mommy Beatrice. As agreed upon with the Grangers, daddy Joseph picked up Hermione and drove both of them to the station.

Giving another ruffle to Pro's hair, daddy Joseph sent the two off with a chuckle, "Daddy will take care of mommy and perhaps you will see a younger sibling when you come back. I hope you two become official soon. No pressure, work hard Pro."

With a blush on her face, Hermione stood next to Pro and waved goodbye to daddy Joseph. Once he was gone, Pro slipped his hand over Hermione's and got a pinch on his waist as Hermione glanced at him with a blushing face.

"Seems you have picked up the habit of my mother," Pro muttered while rubbing his waist lightly, but not letting go.

The couple got onto the train and found themselves an empty compartment once more. Cuddling up to one another for warmth, the duo comfortably and silently enjoyed reading their books while Pro continued to vaccinate Hermione against Lockhart.

Pro was happy to notice that it was already having some effect as Hermione began to doubt if Lockhart could use the Memory charm, Obliviate. The only downside to this event is that the Lockhart book actually didn't have a single XP for Pro to harvest. Clearly, this book teaches a lot.

The Hogwarts Express returned to Hogwarts and the couple returned to acting as friends. Although Pro really just wanted to seal the deal due to the approval of both sides' parents, he knew that haste may make waste.

With that, the duo returned to Hogwarts life and the plot moved forward. Even with Pro flapping his wings like a butterfly, the vortex of destiny was still not affected as the river of destiny still continued to flow.
