2 Chapter 2: Reincarnation (Rewritten.)

Sarath is 28 years old, a military commander in a rescue operation who died in a terrorist attack due to a sudden bomb blast.

He accepted his death with a longing look on his face because he is an orphan.

He had always longed for a family, but due to my circumstances, he was single and a virgin.

"So naturally there was no one to mourn for me."

Were the only thoughts in his mind.

He saved 13 innocent lives before the explosion occurred.

When he was about to save the last person, he noticed an explosion was triggered. With wide eyes, he immediately reacted to it.

He threw the lost child out of the explosion's range before it exploded.

BOOM...

When the explosion occurred, everything seemed to slow down for him.

He was sent flying and before he fell to the ground, he saw the panicked expression on the face of the kid he had just saved by throwing him out of the explosion's range.

His team members were running towards him in panic.

They were shouting something, but he couldn't hear anything they were saying.

The team members gave him an honor salute with teary eyes.

His vision slowly started to blur, and he felt a little heavy to breathe.

"So this is it, my ending. If I knew I was going to die, I would have watched the Harry Potter movie series once again yesterday."

He closed his eyes, and when he opened them, he found himself sitting at a desk marked as "special category".

The man who sat at the desk read the file, which he assumed contained his personal information.

"Why am I sitting here? Did I die? Why is he reading a file containing my information? Who is he?"

There was a series of thoughts passing through the mind of Sarath, but for some reason, he felt calm.

He sat there without any dramatic emotions and concluded he had accepted his death.

"Mr. Sarath, you were killed in the bomb blast. I should have sent you to the afterlife, but your good deeds are sky-high, so you are eligible for reincarnation. Will you accept?"

Suddenly, the man who had one half of his face in black and the other half in white asked Sarath for his choice.

There were no eyes, nose, mouth, or even ears.

He wore a formal dual-color coat suit, which was opposite to his skin color.

I was dumbfounded because I had only read about reincarnation in manga and fanfics.

"Sir, I was a military commander. I took many lives with my own hands. Ho..."

Sarath became confused and asked the being in front of him politely.

"How can I be eligible?"

Before Sarath could finish, the being completed his sentence.

Sarath nodded his head, taking a gulp.

"Look at the two bars there."

The being pointed at the two bars behind Sarath.

One is red, and the other is green in color.

"That was your measurement of the good and bad deeds you have done. The red one represents bad deeds, and the green one represents good ones."

Sarath looked at the bar where the green one was lengthier than the red one by a large margin.

"The classification of deeds is complicated because your every action will be measured. One's good deed will be reduced by the amount of the bad deed they committed."

The being explained how their karma was determined to Sarath.

"Now shall we begin the process? You have 15,000 karma points. If you want to reincarnate, then the karma points will be deducted according to the wishes you make."

The man took a calculator-like device and waited for Sarath to make a decision.

When Sarath heard he could have a second chance, he became extremely happy.

"Can I choose the world I was going to be reincarnated in?"

Sarath asked if he could choose the world in which he wanted to be reincarnated.

The being didn't say anything and nodded his head.

'I could choose any world I wanted, and the wishes would be granted according to my good deeds' karma value, which was 15,000 karma.'

Sarath took a deep breath, thinking very deeply.

"I wanted to be reincarnated in the world of Harry Potter."

Sarath told his choice, looking at the being with expectation.

"Sure, no problem."

The man wrote something on the document he was holding.

"Now, can you choose your wishes carefully?"

The being pointed at the karma value displayed behind Sarath.

"Is there any other reincarnation to the world I will go to?"

Sarath asked the question which was bugging him for a while.

The being shook his head, indicating there would be no one.

Sigh...

Sarath had a big weight lifted from his shoulders because it would be very dangerous to have two reincarnations in the same world simultaneously.

"For my first wish, I wanted to have talent in Transfiguration, Charms, Potions, Dark Arts, and Defence Against Dark Arts."

Sarath made his first wish, expecting his karma value to be greatly reduced.

"Done. 5000 karma points will be deducted. Now you have 10,000 karma points remaining."

The being calculated and detected the points.

Sarath was surprised because he thought that the cost of such talent would be higher than 5000 karma points.

"For my second wish, I wanted to keep my memory with me about my past."

Sarath made his second wish, looking at the being in front of him a little nervously.

Because if he loses his memory of his previous life, then there is no use, no meaning in reincarnation.

"Done. 1000 karma points will be deducted. Now you have 9000 points remaining."

The being calculated and detected the points.

"For my third wish, I asked to master Occlumency and Legilimency."

Sarath made his third wish.

"3000 karma points will be deducted. Now you have 7000 karma points remaining."

The being detected the points.

Sarath was surprised to hear the cost for the wishes he makes is really low.

"The price for your wishes is not low, but your karma points are high. For example, an ordinary man's karma points will be in the range of 1000 to 3000. At best, 5000. You are a special case."

This is explained to clear Sarath's doubt.

"For my fourth wish, I asked that the practice of Dark Arts should not affect me in negative ways or have side effects, for example, like casting my Patronus."

Sarath nodded his head in understanding and made his fourth wish.

"3000 karma points will be deducted. You have 4000 karma points remaining."

The being calculated and detected the points.

Sarath went into deep thought.

"How many karma points will be taken if I wish for a skill to communicate with the magical beasts, animals, and birds?"

Sarath questioned, looking at his remaining karma points.

"It will take 2500 karma points."

The being answered Sarath patiently.

"Then it was my wish."

Sarath stated his last wish with a happy smile on his face.

"You have 1500 points remaining. Now complete the design of your avatar using your remaining karma points. If there is still a considerable amount of karma points, then you will have to draw a lottery where you might get a boon as well as a curse, according to your luck."

The being looked at the remaining karma points and with a sigh explained to Sarath.

Sarath spent the remaining 500 karma points on other things on his body, such as looks, size, etc...

Sigh...

"I can't say your luck is good or bad. Now you need to spin this wheel; your remaining points will be detected."

The being pointed at the wheel.

Sarath pressed the button to rotate the wheel with a nervous expression on his face.

"Oh, I can't believe your broken luck here. Huh. The reward is ???? You needed to clear a certain condition to trigger the reward. Triggering and not triggering is based on you."

The being looked at the reward and wrote it in the file in his hand.

"Now go."

The being waved his hand.

"Wait..."

Before Sarath could ask, he fell unconscious.

"Next."

After Sarath vanished from his spot, the being called for the next soul.

Harry Potter World...

"Where am I now?"

Sarath tried to open his eyes, but he couldn't, no matter how much he tried.

He couldn't move his body.

Suddenly, Sarath felt like he was drowning and felt heat and pressure.

"Oh, I am still in my mother's belly."

Sarath concluded and felt the warmth of his mother.

After being born...

Sarath was officially reborn in the Harry Potter world.

"Look here, my boy, look. What your father brought for you."

A man with blond hair and blue eyes took Sarath in his hand and started to spoil him.

"How much you try to dote on him. His favorite is his mother."

A woman with black hair and grey eyes with a bright smile walked towards them and took Sarath from the man's arm.

Sarath didn't feel disgusted being a baby because he quite enjoyed it. He always wanted a family and to feel their love.

He was able to collect some information about his parents through their conversation.

When he heard his grandfather was the world's greatest white wizard Albus Dumbledore, he was shocked.

'That means I was reincarnated in the AU version of Harry Potter.'

Sarath concluded.

When Sarath was digesting this information that he was the grandchild of Dumbledore, there was another shocker revealed to him.

His mother Aliya is the daughter of the famous Dark Lord Gillert Grindelwald but was adopted by Albus Dumbledore.

To protect the properties of the Grindelwald family, his mother Aliya took over the family head position and removed Gillert Grindelwald from the head position before the trial.

Unlike the movies and the books where he will be in the Nurmengard until the end.

Here he will be released on November 23, 1985, due to his service in the Nurmengard.

Aliya was keeping a low profile because Death Eaters and other greedy families had searched for them while eyeing the properties of the Grindelwald family.

Time passes...

After one year...

His father Gary and his mother Aliya were setting up the new crib for Sarath.

While Sarath was sleeping peacefully in his mother's arms.

Ding... dong...

Ding... dong...

Suddenly they heard the doorbell ring.

"I will go and see."

Aliya placed sleeping Sarath in the bed and walked out of the room.

After a few minutes, Aliya started to call Gary excitedly from the doors.

Gary left the room hearing Aliya.

But he didn't notice the sleeping baby slowly started to move upwards in the air.

While he was dreaming about flying on the broomsticks and impressing the girls.

At the living room...

"What? Albus adopted the Grindelwalds' daughter, and on top of that, my favorite student has married her. Then why don't I know anything about my favorite disciple?"

McGonagall was shocked when she heard their explanation.

When they were chatting, everyone present in the living room looked toward the room where Sarath was sleeping peacefully.

"Gary," Aliya exclaimed in wide eyes feeling the magic fluctuation in the room.

"Shit, our child is there."

Gary hurried towards the room with a panicked expression.

Others also followed the couples into the room.

When they arrived in the room, everyone was shocked to see the baby was flying in the midair.

"Son."

Gary hurried towards the baby and caught the baby before he fell with a worried look on his face.

"Don't worry, Aliya. I think the child had a magic accident," Dumbledore consoles the worried couple.

"To have a magic accident at the age of one, my grandchild should have a good talent," Dumbledore took the sleeping child from Aliya and looked at the child with a gentle smile.

He summoned Pomfrey to check on the baby to make sure the baby was safe.

"There is no problem, Albus. The baby is fine," Madam Pomfrey informed Dumbledore.

"Oh, I forgot what the name of the child is," Dumbledore asked Aliya, a little embarrassed, not paying attention to his daughter.

Hearing Dumbledore, McGonagall and Pomfrey give him a blank look.

"Ah, Father, didn't you read the letter that I asked you to pick a name for the baby?" Aliya looked at her father with narrowed eyes.

"Wait... don't tell me you didn't name him till now," Dumbledore was taken aback when he heard his daughter.

"Poor child," Madam Pomfrey looked at Sarath with pity.

Sigh...

McGonagall nodded her head, looking at Dumbledore with narrowed eyes.

"How about it, Minerva? You name the child. My naming sense is poor, you see," Dumbledore passed the task of naming to McGonagall while looking at her with a smile and a glint in his eyes.

Seeing the reaction, Dumbledore McGonagall wanted to punch the old man before her.

She took the child from Dumbledore and looked at him. The child also looked at her with his impure grey eyes.

"I shall name him Leo Grindelwald."

After naming the kid, he giggled. He was very cute. I am glad the baby liked the name I gave him.
