38 Another bit of fun 1

For the 24th of August, Harry decided to spend another day with Sirius. While he was busy getting ready for the coming year and the war that would follow, it was the summer holidays. His time with his beloved godfather was already limited without counting the time he would spend at Hogwart.

It was agreed that he would spend the night at Grimauld Place, and the following day (25th), go with the other children for the school supplies shopping day. He would have dragged him to live with him and the girls, if Semiramis and Caitlyn didn't tell him that Sirius would be his most trusted source of informations in the Order of the phoenix. While he didn't like the idea of using his godfather to spy on supposed allies, he accepted their wisdom.

This time, the only one escorting Harry was Vi, and this time, Hermione, Ron, Ginny and the twins would join for a day of fun in the muggle world.

Harry, Vi, Sirius and Hermione were entertained by their red headed friends being in awe or confused by the muggle society. Despite their father being fascinated by muggles, their knowledge about them was still quite inaccurate. Much better than most purebloods, but still lacking.

While educating and entertaining the Weasleys children, Harry was also slowy making up with Hermione and Ron. He was also having a lot of fun with the twins and Ginny. Unlike their brother, who was a bit daunted by all that he was discovering, they appreciated their little adventure in unknown lands.

"Hey, Sirius" Harry whispered while the rest of the group was distracted.

Sirius turned to Harry, and saw him gesturing for the 2 of them to take their distance for a private talk.

"Something on your mind, pup?"

"You have no idea" Harry muttered under his breath, but aloud he replied "I need help, or advice? Both?"

Sirius watched him in confusion before slowly grinning. "Are you having girl troubles? Probably one of those wonderful ladies around you?" Harry's reddening face was all the answer he needed, and he was barely able to restrain his laugh.

"So, which one do you fancy? Pinky over there? Or the asian one? Or was it one of the other 2 that went with you for your trial?" Harry wry smile once again gave him the answer. "Ok, explain, what has been going on?"

Harry groaned a little at how eager Sirius seemed to be about hearing of his not yet existant love life. He took a breath, and without going too much into details, explained the situation. Scathach interest in him, his interest in Semiramis, and his strong attraction to the other girls around him.

When asked about schoolmates he was attracted to, the list was small, partly due to how the previous year had soured his relationship with most of the school, and partly due to the women around him being more attractive than most of his schoolmates. After a few more informations being given, Sirius came to a conclusion.

"Okay Harry. Here is what I suggest you do" he said seriously. "Don't think too much about it and go have some fun."

"... What?" Harry replied incredulously.

"Harry, you're 15yo, you're still quite young, and in the period of new experiences and discoveries. Don't think about serious relationships, you won't know how to deal with it, because you quite litteraly don't know."

Harry blinked upon hearing that.

"So get to know! Go and experiment with what please you. See if it's like how you imagined it. Don't just take what people say it should be like. Have some fun with a few girls or more until you get a handle of what you really like and want most."

"But my parents...."

"Are James and Lily. But you're neither James nor Lily. James, despite being fascinated by Lily early, had a few adventures before ending up with her. And it actually helped him a little, because he learned some things from these adventures."

The look Harry gave him almost made him burst in laughter.

"I myself was known as a bit of a womanizer. The truth is, I wanted to have some fun before settling down. And believe it or not, I had my eyes set on a delightful lady. Unfortunatly, we were at war, and she died before we could tie the knot."

And the mood got quite heavy around the pair of godfather-godson. Vi was the only one who noticed, not having forgotten about her guard duty.

"Who was she?" Harry asked in a low, hesitant voice.

"Marlene McKinnon" Sirius replied with a solemn tone and expression. "She was a friend in our later years at Hogwart, and an ally after, during the war. We had started dating in secret, when she and her family were killed in an attack at their home. It was about a year before you were born. Now that I think about it, I wouldn't be surprised if Peter had something to do with it."

"That fucking bastard" Harry replied on instinct.

"You can say that again" Sirius said, not minding Harry's language at that time, being in full agreement.

"I'm sorry you lost her" Harry said after a moment of silence.

"Thanks, but it's fine. It was a long time ago. I got over it. I still miss her, thought..."

His gaze turned distant for a moment, before refocusing on Harry.

"Anyway, don't rush into looking for 'The One', and don't let excitement mislead you into thinking that you found her. Also, be careful about love potions. While they don't create love, they enduce a strong infatuation. Lily hated those, because while under it, a girl could be made to do something that she usually wouldn't do" he said with a meaningful look. "It really can be used in a criminal way, almost as bad as the imperius."

Harry paled, then quickly nodded. They kept a certain distance from the rest of the group, as Sirius tried to give him as much advice on the relationships between men and women as possible. Along the way, he went over the birds and the bees, and going into more details than Harry would have liked on the subject. But he would later be thankful for that.

It was a happy group that returned to Grimmauld Place in the evening. Thus, the akwardness between Harry and the other Order members was greatly reduced. Tonks helped a lot with that, being the most fun and easy going among the adults, aside from Sirius.
