Hogwarts

Days Passed and it was time for hogwarts. Ashlynn and Luna went to the train station. They were a bit late. Luna had forgotten to bring her pink and blue glasses and they had to go back. It was five minutes before the train would leave. Xenophilius had dropped them off and had gone to work.

Ashlynn and Luna went towards the stone wall but found it was shut.

"Why is this door not working? We are late. We're going to miss the train."

Ashlynn frowned. She rested her body on a close pillar.

"Perhaps the three hored-" Luna was caught off by two very loud boys.

Harry Potter and Ronald Weasley. They were running towards the gateway.

Ashlynn smiled. She could sense trouble. SHe pulled out her wand and muttered a spell.

The moment the two boys hit the car, a picture fluttered to her hand. She looked at it and laughed out loud. Luna peeked at it and burst into laughter as well.

The boys looked at them and soon, they came front to front.

"Why is the gateway sealed?! Did you do it?" Harry said.

"Dear brother… It's been almost 2 monthes and the first thing you do is accuse me? And no. We did not seal it. It was probably the house elf that wanted to save your neck. " Ashlynn said.

Harry just grumbled. Ron looked at Luna.

"Hi, Loony. Why are you hanging out with her?" Ron said.

Ashlynn was about to yell when Luna stopped her.

"Actually, my name is Luna. I don't know why people always pronounce it wrong. I mean my name isn't that hard. And Ashlynn stayed with us during summer. Anyways, what are we going to do?"

Ashlynn noticed something spark in Ron's eyes. He had an idea. A bad idea.

"The car!!! We can take the car!"

"That's a great idea, mate!" Harry looked thrilled.

The two started running but Ron looked back.

"You're not coming?"

"That's the stupidest idea I have ever heard, but… Who cares…" Ashlynn muttered. Then she said loudly, "No thankyou Ronald! I bet there are plenty of other ways that can get us to Hogwarts without expelling ourselves in the process!!"

Ronald snorted and ran with Harry to the car.

Luna looked at Ashlynn. "What should we do?"

"Just follow me."

Ashlynn and Luna got into the Knight bus and went to the leaky cauldron. They then borrowed an owl and sent a letter to Hogwarts, explaining what had happened. Soon, the floo was opened and they were in Hogwarts.

They had arrived just in time for the sorting ceremony. And Luna ran towards the rest first years while Ashlynn sat down on the Slytherin table. Draco saw her and gave a small wave which Ashlynn waved back.

Luna was sorted into Ravenclaw. It suited her. Ahlynn had expected Hufflepuff but Ravenclaw was fine.

After the ceremony, Ashlynn went to her dorms. SHe hadn't seen her pasky brother during the feast. She hoped he had been expelled. But since he was the boy-who-lived, it was unlikely.

The next day, Ashlynn woke up. SHe had a nice feeling. SHe went down to breakfast and started eating the scramble eggs when she heard someone shouting.

"Hey!!! Ashlynn Potter, Harry Potter and Ronald Weasley got a howler!!!!"

And There it was. A red envelope. Ashlynn had heard what an howler was from some house mates before. She got nervous but tried to look calm. She saw Ronald opening his letter. "Ronald Weasley! How dare you steal that car! I am absolutely disgusted! Your father's facing an inquiry at work, and it's entirely your fault! If you put another toe out of line, we'll bring you straight home!"

Ron was red and he covered his face with his hands. Now Harry started to open his letter.

"Harry Potter!!! Stealing a car? Flying to Hogwarts? No matter what your excuse is, Harry Potter, WHEN YOU COME BACK FROM HOGWARTS ON CHRISTMAS, YOU ARE GROUNDED!!! You could have been killed! That was very irresponsible, mister! You do anything like that ever again, you will be sent to the Dursleys yourself! "

Harry blushed and looked at Ashlynn. Hoping that her letter would decrease the looks he was receiving.

Ashlyn shrugged and opened her letter.

"How could you Ashlynn! He is your brother! Letting him do such a stupid thing?! You Should have stopped them!!! But from what I heard, you didn't! Let themselves be killed while you came to school in a safe way! Don't come home on Christmas! That's YOUR punishment!!!"

Ashlynn didn't blush. She was just amused. SHe smirked. It was so clear. They never wanted her to go home on Christmas. They were just looking for an excuse. They were trying very hard alright.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

They finished lunch and went outside into the overcast courtyard. Ashlynn was walking when she saw people crowded. Curious, she went over.

A boy was clutching what looked like an ordinary Muggle camera, and the moment Harry looked at him, he went bright red. "All right, Harry? I'm — I'm Colin Creevey," he said breathlessly, taking a tentative step forward. "I'm in Gryffindor, too. D'you think — would it be all right if — can I have a picture?" he said, raising the camera hopefully. "So I can prove I've met you,"

"Oh… Okay!" He then noticed Ashlynn and shouted. "What to get my sign, do you Ashlynn?"

"May I get my photo signed, dear boy-who-lived?" Ashlynn asked politely. She handed him the picture of him and Ron crashing on the wall. She snickered, watching Harry's face turning red.

"Signed photos? You're giving out signed photos, Potter?" Loud and scathing, Draco Malfoy's voice echoed around the courtyard. He had stopped right behind Colin, flanked, as he always was at Hogwarts, by his large and thuggish cronies, Crabbe and Goyle. "Everyone line up!" Malfoy roared to the crowd. "Harry Potter's giving out signed photos!"

After a bit more commotion…

"What's all this, what's all this?" Gilderoy Lockhart was striding toward them, his turquoise robes swirling behind him. "Who's giving out signed photos?"

After Lockhart humiliated Harry, they had reached Lockhart's classroom.

"Me," he said, pointing at it and winking as well. "Gilderoy Lockhart, Order of Merlin, Third Class, Honorary Member of the Dark Force Defense League, and five-time winner of Witch Weekly's Most Charming Smile Award but I don't talk about that. I didn't get rid of the Bandon Banshee by smiling at her!" He waited for them to laugh. Ashlynn felt like gagging. He was a bit too cheesy.

"I see you've all bought a complete set of my books — well done. I thought we'd start today with a little quiz. Nothing to worry about — just to check how well you've read them, how much you've taken in —" When he had handed out the test papers he returned to the front of the class and said, "You have thirty minutes — start —now!" Ashlynn looked down at his paper and read:

1. What is Gilderoy Lockhart's favorite color?

2. What is Gilderoy Lockhart's secret ambition?

3. What, in your opinion, is Gilderoy Lockhart's greatest achievement to date?

On and on it went, over three sides of paper, right down to: 54.

When is Gilderoy Lockhart's birthday, and what would his ideal gift be?

Ashlynn knew the answers. They were all written in his books. But she didn't want to write anything. She didn't like the man. He was too full of himself. He was also a fraud. But she was in Slytherin. Writing insults here won't help her.

Half an hour later, Lockhart collected the papers and rifled through them in front of the class. He began reading the tests. He smiled at Ashlynn and Hermione which made Hrmione blush and Ashlynn glare. But his expression suddenly changed when he looked at two test sheets. "Harry Potter? Ronald Weasley?" He read them again and his face turned red with anger. "How dare you!!! " He gave them both detention for a month. He then trashed the two papers on the floor.

"Now — be warned! It is my job to arm you against the foulest creatures known to wizardkind! You may find yourselves facing your worst fears in this room. Know only that no harm can befall you whilst I am here. All I ask is that you remain calm."

"I must ask you not to scream," said Lockhart in a low voice. "It might provoke them." As the whole class held its breath, Lockhart whipped off the cover. "Yes," he said dramatically. "Freshly caught Cornish pixies."

Ashlynn heard someone let out a snort of laughter that even Lockhart couldn't mistake for a scream of terror.

The pixies were electric blue and about eight inches high, with pointed faces and voices so shrill it was like listening to a lot of budgies arguing. The moment the cover had been removed, they had started jabbering and rocketing around, rattling the bars and making bizarre faces at the people nearest them. "Right, then," Lockhart said loudly. "Let's see what you make of them!" And he opened the cage.

It was pandemonium. The pixies shot in every direction like rockets. Two of them seized Neville by the ears and lifted him into the air. Several shot straight through the window, showering the back row with broken glass. The rest proceeded to wreck the classroom more effectively than a rampaging rhino.

They grabbed ink bottles and sprayed the class with them, shredded books and papers, tore pictures from the walls, up-ended the waste basket, grabbed bags and books and threw them out of the smashed window; within minutes, half the class was sheltering under desks and Neville was swinging from the iron chandelier in the ceiling.

Everyone left the class except Nevile and Ashlynn.

Ashlynn sat on her seat. Still. She was very annoyed. The so-called-professor had been defeated by some pixies?! He asked her to clean up the mess!!! He was much worse than she had thought. She glared at the pixies who were now playing with her hair.

She suddenly had an idea. A small revenge for our dear professor… She held the cage and some sweet candies inside. Luna had given her some.

And soon enough, the pixies were attracted by the scent and were in the cage. Ashlynn closed the door and pointed her wand at Neville and drifted him slowly down.

"Than..Thanks…" Neville stuttered. Ashlynn nodded at him and he left. She was also about to leave when she saw the test papers on the floor. It was the first time that she noticed three sheets of paper. Wasn't it only Ron and Harry? She thought curiously.

She looked at the first two.

Harry had written,

1. What is Gilderoy Lockhart's favorite color? -The color of his disgusting socks

2. What is Gilderoy Lockhart's secret ambition? -To be famous

3. What, in your opinion, is Gilderoy Lockhart's greatest achievement to date? - Nothing

54. When is Gilderoy Lockhart's birthday, and what would his ideal gift be? - Food??

Ashlynn snorted. Some answers. She looked at the last paper and saw Luna's name written on it. She read it.

1. What is Gilderoy Lockhart's favorite color? - The Color of himself. I think… Since he seems to love himself very much.

2. What is Gilderoy Lockhart's secret ambition? - To make people love him. Or to get attention.

3. What, in your opinion, is Gilderoy Lockhart's greatest achievement to date? - To have so many Wrackspurts around him! I have never seen so many!!! I think it might be a world record.

54. When is Gilderoy Lockhart's birthday, and what would his ideal gift be? - I'd give him a pretty birthday card! With a charm to protect him from Wrackspurts. It's probably the reason he seems a bit forgetful about the subject he teaches…

Ashlynn burst into laughter. Oh, Luna… She was a bit too honest…
