7 Chapter 7: Kai's Subconsious

Kai heard a voice close to his ear say "Avada Kadavra." Due to how stunned Kai was at how someone had managed to pierce through his perception he froze in shock. He felt the pain of the curse coursing through his body but then it stopped. He was thinking to himself, 'Well that wasn't so bad,' but then he felt a pain more than 10 times stronger than the previous pain ripping into his very soul, or at least that was what Kai assumed it was doing. He felt his memories becoming hazy. His world view was being forgotten and his very identity was in danger of being destroyed, but then he felt the strange energy from his first kill resurface from its hiding place and it started attacking the killing curse that was invading his body. Kai felt that the stress, pain, and pressure on him was too much as he blacked out.

After an unknown amount of time Kai woke up in a large red space. Floating around him were all kinds of objects and memories he had forgotten, in addition to objects Kai had seen in his dreams. Many of the objects were forgotten by Kai until he saw it again now in the space. When he had finished examining the red space he called out, "Is anybody there." He wasn't really expecting a reply, but much to his surprise he heard a noise coming from behind him and instinctively turned around.

When he turned around he saw a copy of himself standing in front of him, the only difference was that he appeared with the former clothes that Kai wore but were destroyed and the copy was completely colored in shades of red, including his skin.

"Where am I''? Kai asks the copy of himself.

The copy lifted his chin and immediately replied in a superior tone, "This is inside your subconscious mind that resides inside the blood orb."

Kai asks in a questioning tone, "A blood orb, what is that?"

"When you first absorbed another life form's blood you felt like something was awakening inside of you correct?" the copy asked Kai.

"Yes," replied Kai.

After hearing his answer, the copy continued, "When you drink a lifeform's blood, the blood is turned into life energy which is made up of various minerals and energies. While the other part the "waste" is usually discarded in the shape of a life form's excretion. However, your body doesn't have the ability to release that waste through a natural means and this is where the blood orb comes into play. The blood orb absorbs that waste material from your body and turns it into a unique energy, but this orb has more uses than to purifying waste. However, it's not easy to form a blood orb. The process of creating a blood orb requires you to consume three types of blood, a naturally formed lifeform, your former species' blood, and magic-infused blood. Just today you've managed to ingest both your former species' blood- human blood, in addition to magic-infused blood. So, I must congratulate you on hitting three birds with one stone.

As a result, the blood orb has started condensing itself. However, due to the threat of your soul getting ripped out of your body and being turned into pure soul energy, the blood orb has had to abandon its full development until it has had time to repair itself and thus it cannot reach its full potential at this time. Though due to the powerful magical energy from the blood of Lord Voldemort, you were able to neutralize a majority of the issue. A once you are completely healed it will complete this process that was halted and full confidence with a chance the blood orb being able to evolve further as you grow stronger," the copy finished explained.

Kai took a few seconds to process the information before asking for the copy, "And who are you?"

The copy answered in an amused tone, "I'm the manifestation of your subconscious, the materialization of your emotions and memories that you have forgotten about or have unconsciously thought of."

Once Kai heard this, he asked the manifestation, "What are the other advantages of having the blood orb?"

The manifestation answered with an expression that seemed to say, 'I've been waiting for this question,' "There are two main advantages that I'm aware of. The first is the blood orb protects your soul from this foreign universe because you are a being from another reality with different fundamental laws that governs that plane of existence. While the second advantage is a result due to the combination of your vampire physique and the blood orb. This advantage results in the ability to have a higher chance of absorbing an innate ability from the blood of your target. I'm going to emphasize that it may be a high chance of success in this but there is only around a fifty-fifty chance in receiving any ability from the targets' blood. Though you've managed to gain the ability to converse with snakes called Parseltongue from Lord Voldemort, but I'd attribute this to beginner's luck since your blood orb hadn't even been fully formed."

"Parseltongue!" Kai exclaimed in happiness, "that's awesome and due to my hypnotism, I'll be able to control any snake anyway." 'Hmmm, if I can tame the basilisk in the chamber of secrets maybe I'll be able to gain one of its innate abilities, poison or even petrifying eyes. Perhaps I might be able to turn it into a vampire, then it will be nearly invincible' he thought to himself.

While Kai was in the middle of dreaming about growing a serpent army, he heard a polite cough that pulled him back into reality come from the manifestation. It told Kai, "Don't expect yourself to be invincible now that you've become a vampire. There are plenty of over creatures that are stronger than you at this point in time, for example, if Lord Voldemort had been less arrogant and more cautious by placing a protective barrier around himself, you'd have never been able to even touch him. Another example would be Albus Dumbledore the greatest wizard of his generation could put an end to you quite easily too. Though, even these powerful wizards aren't able to hold a candle to the personifications of laws. These personifications can be called gods, one such personification is a figure called "Death" and he appears in the tales of Beedle the bard that take place in this world's past. There are many powerful figures who are just regular people and even mythical beasts from famous myths, did you think that these myths were just created from someone's imagination. Nope! They're quite real and based on actual figures and creatures. Some of these characters are even still alive and have been alive for a millennium slowly growing stronger."

"How would you know that?" Kai asked the manifestation.

The manifestation answered in a solemn tone with a hint of fear mixed in his voice, "Because I met one of these personifications while you were unconscious. It was when we had just broken past the space-time continuum from our previous universe and had passed into this universe's protective barrier by making a tiny hole in it. This was when I felt a huge force cover our soul, the force came from the entity that called itself "Space." It warned me that if we harmed its universe that it would obliterate our soul. It also said that there are many weaker entities than it that exist in this universe. It said that these figures would be at the levels varying from a Demi-God to that of an ant, although even those ants would be far stronger and experienced than us. In addition to its warning, it also marked us with a seal that will allow it to locate where we are. However, I don't this it took into account that I am merely the subconscious and that you are the true personality, therefore it can't immediately track us down for now as it will look for me before it looks for you. So, unless I leave your subconscious it won't find me so ill mainly be communicating to you through thought," the manifestation finished its lengthy explanation.

Kai was shocked at what the manifestation had told him. Kai organized the information into two separate pieces of information: The first was that the legends and myths that Kai thought were all just a figment of human imagination were, in fact, real and some of the famous figures were still alive and extremely powerful. The second piece of information was that if Lord Voldemort had been more careful, he could have been easily killed.

After Kai had finished going over this new information he then asked for his copy of another question, "So what should I call you and who used the killing curse on me because I didn't sense anyone in my surroundings?" The copy answered Kai, "You can call me Nova I'll just use our last name since in reality we are the same person, and the one who used the killing curse on you was Lord Voldemort."

"What, but how?" Kai asks, "didn't he only have enough magical power left to coalesce himself in a spectral form to protect what was left of his soul and not die? In the book, he was severely weakened in such a way that caused him to be completely useless when it came to casting spells."

Nova answered Kai, "I believe that Lord Voldemort must still have a small amount of magical energy left over for emergencies within his soul. The amount of energy would only be enough for one or two spells such as the one that he used on you! So, you must have made him really hate you for him to use his last resort on you, can you remember any reason why he would hate you so much?"

Kai recalled that he had been standing near the now wrecked car, "He may have seen me nearby watching and now he's mad because it allowed me see his shameful 'death.' This coud've been what triggered his anger towards me."

Once Kai understood what happened he felt a mixture of annoyance at how close he was to dying, especially with how dumb a reason he came close to dying. Kai asked Nova, "How do you know all of this?"

"The reason I know all of this is the because as I stated earlier was that while you were unconscious I was awake," Nova said, "and that I had to create this physical vessel for you. When I was creating the body, I had to follow a certain guideline to do so using your desire and love for Vampires similar those in the films and books Twilight. While in your soul form you can do practically anything you want up to a certain degree, however most souls forget what they want and who they are the moment they leave their physical bodies. You forgot your identity as well, but nonetheless you still had your passions hidden deep inside your subconscious. So when the moment came, you forgot the restrictions of what society was and you let these desires loose. A desire to go to the Harry Potter universe and the desire to become a vampire like those in Twilight. Using your own soul's energy, you managed to find a Harry Potter universe and then breach the space-time barriers between your original universe and this new universe we are now in. However, as a result your soul became extremely weak after this."

Nova paused for a few seconds and then continued "Though even with my help to create the perfect vampire body, I forgot to also create a vessel to contain our soul so that it would be protected from this new universe that has a completely different cycle of reincarnation than our original one as in this universes the soul become pure energy that would greatly strengthen the cycle. Therefore, I've had to create a vessel from scratch which has resulted in the creation of the blood orb, its original purpose was only to house and protect your soul from the foreign universe, but when the blood orb merged with your body it crumbled apart. You can imagine the terror I was in when I saw your soul slowly dissolving, but just when I thought the worst was to come, you sucked out the blood of that boar. This blood was split into two separate parts the life force that nourishes your body and the waste. Much to my surprise, I discovered that the waste was purified and had formed the embryo of the blood orb. This embryo stopped the soul from dissolving quickly, and then when you drank Voldemort's blood you absorbed the magic in his blood in addition to this fact was that it was human blood. The embryo transformed into its original design and somehow started to evolve on its own by using that powerful magical energy. Then when you were hit by the killing curse that specifically targets the soul, the blood orb had to act, and this also allowed you absorb the ability from the blood you just consumed. The blood orb managed to protect your soul and give you a minor immunity to the curse."

After Nova finished talking he said to Kai that he should go back and deal with Voldemort while he focused on ensuring that blood orb finished coalescing, "All you have to do is think about leaving and you'll and the it true if you wish to return.

Closing his eyes Kai left the blood orb.
