8 A Deal with a Devil

Kai's eyes opened and he found that he was leaning on the broken car. As he stood up properly, he had felt a pair of eyes glaring at him intently from somewhere behind him. Turning around he saw a head sized dark grey colored smoky mass with two bright red glowing eyes. A pair of snake like eyes in a smoky mass' that were giving a hate-filled stare turned to surprise and doubt. They seemed to be wondering why the curse had failed in its task to kill Kai.

The smoky mass growled in anger and frustration, "This is the second time that I've failed to kill a weak human using a curse that has never failed before."

Kai inferred that the smoky mass was, in fact, what was left of Voldemort's soul a fragment due to the following reasons. The first was due to the fact it resembles the smoky mass that had escaped in the first HP book when Professor Quirrell was defeated. The second reason was that Kai understood that it was him because of the slitted eyes that greatly resembled those of a snake. The third and final reason, which was also the main reason, was how he shouted about how his killing cures had failed him for the second time that night.

Once Kai concluded that the smoky mass in front of him was indeed Voldemort, he understood that he might be able to reach an agreement if he said the right things. He wanted him to teach him magic since Voldemort was one of the strongest wizards in the Harry Potter series apart from Dumbledore. However, Kai believed this may not be entirely true, he theorized that if hadn't of split his soul he may have been able to defeat Dumbledore without any issues, alas it would never happen since Voldemort hungered for immortality, so he wouldn't give up on his idea of using the Horcruxes.

Therefore, Kai had to convince Voldemort to teach him and in order to do that he'd have to give him enough benefits with an Emperor like attitude. He would have to make an offer he couldn't refuse and that he desired. The first benefit would be immortality that he could give him in the form of a vampire physique, secondly was also related to the vampire physique which was the creation of a powerful physical body, the third benefit to entice him with was an improvement in his magic ability, while the last was changing Voldemort's cause of death, in other words, changing his destiny.

Though Kai had ulterior motives when he came up with this way to deal with Voldemort, it was a deal that make him his right-hand man.

Once Kai had rearranged his thoughts and created several reasons that would convince Voldemort or as he was planning to call him, Tom. For a moment Kai felt like an unscrupulous businessman trying to con a customer into buying a faulty product though in this deal both Kai and Voldemort would be getting something out of it.

Kai believed that if you want to appear in control you have to radiate confidence, control and authority so as he looked at Voldemort and said with an authoritative tone of voice, "Lord Voldemort, I presume, can I call you Tom? It's just that Voldemort really just doesn't roll off the tongue like Tom does. The reason I found you, Tom, is that I, believe you and I can be a great help each other. Which is why I have sought you out."

Squinting his around slitted eyes Tom Riddle at him he asked Kai, "How do you know that name? Why would you help me? And how are you not dead?"

"Tom I will do my best to answer each of those questions of yours. The first being about your name – Tom Marvolo Riddle. I know just about everything about you, who you are, what you have done and what you will do in the future," says Kai as he leans in towards the specter with a mysterious and crazy light in his eyes.

However, Tom didn't seem to believe what Kai was telling him, doubting anything he said was true.

So, Kai continued, "I know that you are doubting my word. I would've as well." The moment he finished that last sentence he raised his hands to emphasize and calm Tom's mind as he says, "But to help make you believe my words I will have to provide you with some proof won't I?"

Tom's spectral silted eyes narrowed further when he heard what Kai's said but he continued to listen. Kai seemed to be very relaxed and he gave off a laid-back and relaxed aura as he said to Tom, "I know for starters that you had a spy giving you detailed information about the Potters secret hiding place, and this man was in fact their very own secret keeper, I also know that you had him in your pocket for about a year now. What was his name again?"

Kai put his hand to his forehead in a gesture that seemed like he was recalling the spy's name. "Ah yes." Kai exclaimed, "His name was Peter Pettigrew, but you called him Worm Tail."

Looking mildly surprised Tom's eyes widened just slightly back to his original squint but he still didn't seem all that impressed.

Sensing this Kai said "It seems like you haven't been dazzled by my knowledge. Therefore, should I tell you about your Horcruxes. I'll begin with your first- the diary of your 16-year-old self it contains a full 50 % of your soul and it was created after you murdered Myrtle a student at Hogwarts using the basilisk that live underneath the school to kill her using its' petrifying eyes. The second one you made was using Marvolo Gaunt's Ring it contains 25% of your soul and by murdering of your muggle father Tom Riddle Senior. The third was Salazar Slytherin's locket, it contains 12.5% of your soul and was created with the death of a muggle you considered insignificant and I must mention that you never even asked what his name was before you killed him he may have been a muggle but you used him to create something that was you believed was essential to achieve your goal. Then there is the fourth one that you used Helga Hufflepuff's cup, it has 6.25% of your soul and you murdered of Hepzibah Smith for that one. While the fifth was Rowena Ravenclaw's diadem it contains 3.125% of your soul you killed another muggle for this one though this one was Albanian." Changing his tone into a mocking one Kai continued, "You once again didn't even ask for the name of the second muggle either. The last complete Horcrux that you'll make if I hadn't appeared would've been using Nagini your old love and currently your loyal and loving serpent and she would get a mere 0.390625% of your soul. She would've been turned into a Horcrux with the murder of Bertha Jorkins. In addition to those Horcruxes that have been completed, you've now created a pseudo Horcruxes that is now in Harry Potter who now has 1.5% of your soul and this was because of the death of both of his parent Lily and James Potter. Then there would be Quirinus Quirrell who would've been corrupted and then turned into your puppet when you possessed his body with your current spectral form."

With a smile that had slowly grown on his face Kai then says, "This is just a small part of what I know about what you have done and will have done is the future. Out of all of your Horcruxes' only two of your sacrifices names were unknown to you."

Tom stared at Kai in disbelief and fear that quickly escalated into terror, as his spectral form quickly floated away from Kai.

"What do you want from me," Tom stuttered.

"Oh, you believe me now do you.? I thought that I would have to tell you where you hid each of your Horcruxes to get you to believe me, but to answer your question. I would like to make a contract with you. You will teach me your world's magic and in return, I will give you various tools that will help you."

"What do you mean by tools?"

"I will give you an alternative way to reach immortality, the power defeat Dumbledore and knowledge on how to change your fate from dying at the manipulations of destiny."

Tom asked Kai, "Why do want me to teach you magic?"

"I want you to teach me magic because I'm bored. That pretty much it as this is all just a game to me. So, I don't really care whether you agree or not."

Giving Tom some time to consider his offer, he himself in reality was quite nervous and worried that he hadn't acted succeeded in getting this deal done. Then after what seemed like a century-long wait, Tom finally agreed to the deal.

Tom had thought to himself that it would be better to temporarily accept Kai's offer than to turn it down. Thinking about it really he didn't really have anything to lose anyway, so he agreed to this deal for the time being and so that he could see what Kai could do and to gather more information on this mysterious person. Though as he thought about Kai's offer, it seemed very similar to what he'd envision making a deal with a devil would be like.

When Kai heard Tom had agreed to make the deal, he was euphoric with joy, due to him having the chance to learn magic. In addition to the pure joy of making magic, he had a fatal weakness his weak soul. He thought that if he learnt magic, he may be able to strengthen his soul and get rid himself of this weakness.

Though at the same time Kai was thinking to himself that he should remain wary of Tom for now as he didn't get his reputation as the most powerful dark wizard in history for nothing.

Both men had agreed to the deal and therefore Kai asked Tom, "Do you, Tom Marvolo Riddle agree to the deal established with Kai Nova? In this deal, Tom will teach Kai magic and in return, Kai will bestow upon Tom power and knowledge to change his fate and an alternative path to immortality if he so wishes it!"

"I do!" shouted Tom in his spectral form.

Sweeping his arms into the air Kai also said, "So be it, the deal is done!" Causing large great pressure on the surrounding but for only a few seconds before it subsided back to the peaceful night was before the deal was done.
