14 Chapter-14: Neville's Remembrall

At the breakfast, Theo is sitting in the great hall after his daily morning exercise. In these few days, Theo never missed his morning exercise.

"Arthur how can you wake up so early in the morning," Terry asked before biting at this bread.

"Habit Terry. I have been waking up early since I was a child," said Theo smiling.

"Well, I think it's a wonderful habit, Arthur. But I am wondering what you do so early in the morning," said Lisa sitting beside Theo while having her breakfast.

"Morning exercise... It keeps my body healthy... You guys should do it too.."

"Nah we are good..." said everyone.

"Well suit yourselves," said Theo while shrugging.

"Any way we don't have any morning class today do we," asked Terry

"We don't actually. We only have one class before lunch and that is Transfiguration" said Padma sitting in front of them.

"Speaking of transfiguration class, have anyone finished their homework?" asked Theo.

"I have done half yesterday and I will do today the rest," said Lisa.

"Same here," replied Padma.

"What about you Sue," Theo asked the girl beside Padma.

"I have done mine yesterday, I will be working on my charm's essay," said Sue.

"What about you boys Micheal and Antoney and you girls Amanda and Mandy," Theo asked the boys sitting beside Terry and the girls sitting beside Sue.

"Same as them," they said indicating both Lisa and Padma.

At this moment Terry was panicking,

"Wait, am I the only one who didn't do it"

"Seriously dude, I always wonder how you became a Ravenclaw," said Theo shaking his head.

"Hey!!!" Terry exclaimed comically. Looking at him everyone burst out laughing.

Amidst the laughter, Lisa asked Theo,

"What about you, Arthur?"

As Theo finished his breakfast, he got up.

"Well, I don't any left as I have finished mine, way before you guys woke up. So, you guys have fun with your homework." saying that Theo left.

Seeing him going, all of them looked at each other faces, shake their heads with a sigh, and concentrated on their breakfast.

As Theo was about to leave the great hall, his sight fell on Griffindore's table. Their he found Neville and Hermione having their breakfast.

So, he made a u-turn and went towards them.

"Morning guys," he said standing in front of them.

"Morning, Theo," they replied, looking at him. But he saw something odd both of them look visibly nervous.

Curious about what would make them nervous, Theo sat beside Neville, opposite of Hermione.

"What's up with this look, guys?... Did something happened??"

"Ummm... well..." before Naville can say any farther, Hermione interrupted him,

"Oh... It's because we are going to have our first flying lesson this afternoon."

"Ohh...Right... This is going to be your first flying lesson." said Theo looking at them understandably.

In the wizarding world, Quidditch was the equivalent to NASCAR racing or football in the muggle world and was observed by many. Besides that, it is a tradition in the wizarding world to fly on a broom. So when it came to these flying lessons, everyone was excited.

In the past two days, all of the first years had heard Draco Malfoy talk plenty about the flying lessons. He had grumbled loudly about the fact that the first years were unable to join the Quidditch team.

He had always exaggerated his stories and spoke that would oftentimes end with him escaping the helicopters in the muggle world.

Although, Malfoy was not the only braggart amongst the group. Seamus Finnigan would tell everyone, saying that he would spend his childhood flying through the countryside on a broomstick.

Ron Weasley would chatter constantly to anyone that would listen that he had once hit a hang glider with Charlie's old broomstick.

Practically anyone from a wizarding family talked about Quidditch at any given moment.

But for the students who came from a nonmagical family can be grouped into two categories. One is those who are nervous and terrified to fly on a broom in the sky, and the other is those who are excited and pumped up to fly for the first time. Theo was in the latter category.

The flying lesson started last week with Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff having the first lesson.

Theo was excited to fly for the first time and even got praised by their flying instructor, Madam Hooch for flying really well despite being his first time.

She even suggested Theo to play quidditch. She even recommended trying for the seeker position at the tryout next year.

This week is scheduled for Gryffindor and Slytherin. So, he understood why Hermione was nervous as flying was not something one could learn to do by reading from a book. But that doesn't mean she tries, as Theo saw the book 'Qudditich through ages' in front of her.

"I can understand why Hermione is nervous, but Neville, why you are afraid?"

"Because I am scared of flying and besides by garn forbade me to touch a broom at home," asked Neville visibly nervous.

"Oh... I see... By the way, Hermione, I think it's a bad habit to read while eating," said Theo with a teasing smile while indicating the breakfast and the book. Hermione blushed, and before she could reply, she was interrupted by a voice from beside him.

"What are talking about guys?"

Hearing the question, they looked at the person who spoke and saw Harry and Ron in front of them.

"Hey, Guys... Nothing much... I was just asking about why they look nervous."

"Hey, Arthur..." they both said as Harry sat beside Hermione and Ron beside Him, then he continued,

"Well, I know why she is nervous. After all, it is something that doesn't have anything to do with books."

"What do you mean it has nothing to do with books. Of course, there are books on how to fly on a broom and tips for not falling from it." She replied with a huff.

"Come on Ron, stop bickering with her, or else you will miss your breakfast," said Harry.

"We are not bickering" both replied at the same time. They paused, looked at each other, then huffed and concentrated on their food.

Others laughed at wary looking at the scene while Theo whispered in Neville's ear,

"Do they always bicker like that?"

"Yeah... Whenever they are in a place together, they always bicker with one another. It's always Harry who stops them somehow." he whispered back.

"Aww... Harry really has it hard..." said Theo with a pitty.

"Yeah really...." Neville agreed.

"Hey! I am here you know," said Harry with a mild annoyance.

In the meantime, hundreds of owls started flying over the great hall. Circling all the tables, they immediately dropped the letters and packages into the laps of their rightful owners.

Theo was thoroughly baffled when he saw this scene for the first time. Also, due to thousands of voices that entered his head. Sometimes having a special ability can be a bit of pain.

But by now, he became very used to it. He saw among hundreds of owl Linda coming close to his table with Harry's owl Hedwig closing behind. From the interaction he heard, they became very close friends.

As they came close, Linda came and sat on his shoulder and nipped his ear while putting three letters in front of him.

As usual, this came from his parents and his grandpa. They all wanted to know about his days and how well is he. Besides that Blake asked about his progress in his magic and his exercises in the morning.

"Oh! Are you hungry, Linda? Here have a piece of bacon."

Said Theo listing to Linda and gave her a piece of bacon with a smile. After receiving the food, she hooted (thanked which only Theo can hear) and nipped his ear again.

"Honestly, I can't still believe, how you can know what she wants?" Said Hermione.

Hearing her question Theo smiled thinly then muttered while writing a reply letter to his parents and Blake.

"I don't know, Hermione. Since I was born, I could understand what they are saying. I don't know how, I just know somehow. Just like all other animals, I have encountered, I just know what they are saying."

"Wow, that's awesome! Theo. Gran said this is really a rare gift, same as the seers." said Neville in awe.

But before anyone can react a barn owl had brought Neville a small package in front of him.

"It is from gran!!!!" said Neville excitedly.

Then he went forward to tore open the package while Theo took care of the barn owl.

After opening the package, he showed everyone a glass ball he had got from it. The orb seemed to be filled with plenty of white smoke.

"Oh, it's a Remembrall!" Neville explained to everyone with excitement.

"Aaa... What's a Remembrall" asked Harry curiously.

"It's an item to remind you that you have forgotten something. Whenever the ball turns red, that means you have forgotten something," explained Ron.

As Ron was explaining the ball started to turn red, making Neville a little bit embarrassed.

"Ummm... That's the problem guys, I just don't remember what I have forgotten."

Listening to him everyone laughed very dryly.
