13 OUTING

The next few weeks went by with harry going to gringotts everyday to study the books he had gathered on the years of hogwarts. Harry knew that he did not wish to go in the wizarding world once again as a little ignorant boy especially when he had so much sway over the wizarding world. His first meeting with professor snape was still clear as day in his memory as even if the professor had a personal vendetta against him he was right to point out that harry had not taken any initiative to try and understand what he was to study.

Last time he had the excuse of not being someone of the wizarding world and the lack of opportunities by the torture of his relatives but he had failed to see how Hermione was also introduced to the wizarding when she got her Hogwarts letter and was still diligent enough to study enough to even make the wizarding kids be able to do nothing but see as she scored the highest from the very first day.

Harry felt stupid not noticing that it had been his own lack of effort that had lead to him being so unprepared for the wizarding world. Harry asked the goblins for teachers in every field who could help with the theory portion of his studies and they were happy to help. The six hours that he was at Gringotts were now seperated such that it was always full. Harry also was not one to slack off and dedicated himself to learning this time. Harry very well understood that though he was not dumb he was no genius either and he would have to make more effort.

Harry had decided to wait for hermione before he starts on occlumency. The following days have grown to become a little dull and harry now wished for a distraction so he sent a letter to the Greengrass asking for their permission to let the sisters visit him at Gringotts. The Greengrass were happy to give them permission to meet harry and asked their houself to have them ready for the meeting tomorrow and to ensure their safe return.

Daphne was very happy that she could meet Harry once again and was fidgeting all day to select a dress that he might like, her sister on the other was just happy that she could try on so many different dresses and would also have an outing tomorrow. Having been brought up according to old family traditions they had not yet been to an outing other than the social gatherings and were thus more expectant towards the trip tomorrow.

The next day Harry finished his classes an hour early and was waiting for the Greengrass to arrive in the private study of the head teller. The girls soon entered and after noticing Harry, gave a polite bow before being asked to have a seat. Harry being a good host asked them for their preferences on what they should do for the next four hours. Astoria began with asking for an ice cream and then moving to a toy store. Daphne on the other hand politely refused and said they she would like to follow whatever harry had planned.

Harry had decided to have a refreshing ice cream followed by looking around in the alley at various new products that could come in handy for his future endeavors, following which he would move according to Daphne into whichever store she would like to visit. Daphne was pleased that harry wanted to move according to her wishes so she nodded and all three children along with a gringotts wizard in disguise made their way outside of the bank.

It was only his second intrusion in the alley since coming back. He took them to the nearest ice cream shop and then moved towards the local store for magical enchantments. Daphne was silently following by his side while Astoria was being hand held by the disguised wizard. he was under orders that he should fulfill all of her desires and never let her leave his sight. As they were walking around Harry noticed that Daphne keeps following him from a step behind rather than by his side so he stopped, turned back and to the surprise of daphne took her hand and began walking again.

Happiness of daphne was clearly visible on her tiny face. After harry held her hand the smile never left her face. As he was done looking through the shop they moved to the shop of her choice. It was, not surprisingly, a clothes store. She told harry that she had plans for getting similarly designed clothes for mundane use and looked at him as if asking for permission, as she saw harry nod she became enthusiastic and moved around the shop selecting various pieces. In the end she had selected close to fifteen full dresses for the both of them.

While they moved to the counter to settle the bill, she stopped me saying that though she had selected the pieces but they will have to remake them according to their sizes and will be delivered later. She then asked the owner to make them with a size larger then measured as she had plans to wear them after they began their schooling. Harry then proceeded to pay the deposit and gave the address as the Greengrass manor, where they could be contacted once the clothes are made.

Astoria was having her third cup of ice cream when she noticed harry and her sister coming towards them with hands together. Daphne blushed slightly but did not withdraw her hands. The day ended and they said their goodbyes with the Greengrass houself taking the sisters back and minnie taking me back to the dudley's. When we reached the street where she usually drops me she also informed me that Hermione had requested for me to come see her tomorrow.

I was happy. I reached the Dudley's, cleaned up after the dinner and then went to sleep.
