18 the tournament

it has been a few days since the four had visited the quidditch match with the Weasleys, however, the fun was interrupted by an attack by the death eaters after which the kids came back to Hogwarts,

this brings us to the current situation,

"I am proud to present you, the goblet of fire!!" dumbledore said as he removed the covers over the goblet with blue fire in it,

"and this year the Triwizard tournament will be held between Hogwarts, Beauxbatons, and Durmstrang!!" he said and then dramatically all the torches became dim,

"So now I present to you, the Beauxbatons!!!" he shouted as the doors to the main hall opened and the female students of Beauxbatons started their display of magic,

during the display, fleur looked towards ryan and gave a radiant smile that captivated everyone in the surroundings to which ryan himself had unknowingly smiled warmly,

soon their display ended and dumbledor came forward to greet the headmistress who looked towards ryan and nodded to which he returned the nod,

"and now, the Durmstrang!!" he shouted to which the kids from Durmstrang came forward and started their performance with their staffs,

after the display just as dumbledore was about to begin his speech, ryan stood up and interrupted dumbledor,

"headmaster can I give the kids the said information??" he said to which dumbledore nodded,

he walked in front of everyone and said,

"as all of you know there was an attack on the tournament a few days ago by death eaters, and given that the best of the three main wizarding schools of Europe are gathered here, it is highly likely that Hogwarts may be targetted as well, hence I have received permission from the French, Russian and Britain ministry of magic to establish a barrier surrounding 50km radius with the castle as the center, the reason I am telling you this is because the barrier itself has some special properties, if someone without permission tries to enter or exit the barrier, it will automatically transport you outside the barrier, it is the same for those who try to apparate, so make sure that you have either mine or Professor, McGonagall, that is all" he said to the stunned students while fleur gave a knowing smirk, she knew exactly how much of a control freak ryan can be, after all, she had spent a good two months knowing him better than anyone,

soon the time came for the kids to put their names in the cup and ryan along with lupin watched in amusement as the Weasley twins tried to go past the age line that dumbledore had set up,

however in his amusement, ryan did not fail to sense a certain rat carrying a slip with harry's name written on it and throwing it into the goblet,

ryan knew exactly who the rat was, but he stayed his had because he knew that whatever happened, the current golden trio could easily handle any situation without a problem, Hermoine and ron were already on dumbledore's level while harry had already advanced far beyond that,

so he let it happen and watched as the headmasters of the three academies tried to question harry how he had put his name in the goblet only to have a blank face as a reply, Hermoine and ron knew very well that after the torture they had gone through, there was no way that he would willingly put his name in for another hassle so they stayed quiet and watched everything happened,

soon thanks to fleur's testimony that he did not put his name in the goblet, he was freed of suspicion, harry was lucky that fleur was sitting with ryan at the table so she too had seen that harry never even went near the goblet,

soon the time came for the games to begin
