Chapter 32: Bludger out of control

After the incident, Ron seemed to have made up his mind not to talk to Ivan or Percy, and went out of his way to avoid them both as if they were strangers who didn't know each other, not even saying hello when they met, which embarrassed Harry and Hermione.

As time went on, no one mentioned anything more about going to look for Myrtle the Weeper.

The talk of the Chamber of Secrets was less and less and everyone was thinking pretty much the same thing as Ron, no matter who the heir to Slytherin was, if all he could do was petrify a cat, then they had nothing to worry about.

Hermione spent most of her time reading books. She went through thick books detailing the events of Hogwarts to find clues about the Chamber of Secrets. Ivan used his free time to practice curses in a room where no one was present.

As Harry's first Quidditch match approached, Harry's training frequency increased considerably.

Every day after dinner, Wood would take him to the Quidditch stadium.

Thanks to Malfoy's sponsorship, the Slytherin Quidditch team's brooms had been upgraded to Nimbus 2001, which were much better than the Gryffindor brooms.

Since they couldn't get the same flying brooms, Wood decided to increase the team's training intensity. They flew in almost every weather condition imaginable. He hoped to reduce the difference between the two teams caused by broomsticks.

Since the fight between the two teams, the conflicts between the two houses had grown larger, so many of the Gryffindor and Slytherin students were expecting a big fight, and the upcoming Quidditch match was only adding fuel to the fire.

The day before the Quidditch competition, there was a fierce confrontation between the two houses, but since the first big fight all the teachers in the school had become very vigilant and had stopped it before anything major could happen.

In the blink of an eye, it was Saturday morning.

Ivan and Colin went to the Great Dining Hall for breakfast. Ivan could feel the depressing atmosphere around the Gryffindor Quidditch team. Wood let all the players eat as much as they could, but he didn't eat anything, and when everyone was done eating, Wood dragged them to the Quidditch stadium.

Because of Ron, Ivan didn't go with them, but waited until eleven o'clock and went with the teachers and students to the Quidditch stadium.

Ivan was in the stadium with Colin and Ginny.

The game soon began, and the dazzling figures flew through the air as Ivan watched with a sense of vertigo.

From the beginning of the game it was clear which team was more dominant, in less than ten minutes, Slytherin scored three consecutive goals, Fred and George's broom lagging behind their opponents, never being able to touch the ball.

Colin said weakly, "All our brooms are too slow, and only Harry can keep up with Slytherin."

Ginny, observing the number of goals Slytherin was scoring, said worriedly, "I hope Harry can catch the Snitch soon."

The situation gradually became more beneficial for Gryffindor when it began to rain.

Wood's coaching worked, and because the Slytherin lacked practice in different weather conditions, the Slytherin players became slower.

Everyone soon saw a mad Bludger that seemed to be drawn by some magnetic force towards Harry. the Bludger did its best to knock Harry out. Ginny screamed as she clung to Ivan's arm tightly.

To avoid the ferocious attack of the incoming Bludger, Harry had to get up fiercely.

He spun, rotated, twisted, twisted, flew in a zigzag but nothing he did worked, the Bludger followed him without going after other people.

Fred and George flew to protect him, and Slytherin took the opportunity to score two more points.

Ron shook his fist in anger as he shouted, "The Slytherin must have done something to the ball."

Ginny, worried, asked Ivan, "Ivan, what should we do?"

Ivan comforted Ginny, "Don't worry, Ginny! Someone should be controlling the Bludger, I'm going to take a look."

Ivan then turned to make his way through the crowd,

This should be the clever work of Dobby, the house elf.

Ivan didn't know where Dobby was, but one thing was for sure, he must have been hiding somewhere in the vicinity.

Ivan wandered around the stadium, looking far and wide until he found the hideous creature near the Ravenclaw stands. Before he could stop Dobby, he saw Wood rallying the team in a pause.

Wood asked, "What's going on? Fred, George, where were you when the Bludger stopped Angelina from scoring?"

George huffed angrily, "We were twenty feet above her, keeping another Bludger from killing Harry someone has hexed the ball."

Wood pondered for a moment and said, "But since we practiced last night with the Bludgers, they've been locked in Mrs. Hooch's office since this morning...."

Harry saw the Slytherin team sneering and pointing at him and said : "Listen, you can't keep flying around me, I don't stand a chance of catching the Snitch unless it comes near me. Fred and George, go deal with the other Bludger and let me deal with the one chasing me".

Fred looked with surprise at Harry and said, "Don't be silly, Harry! He'll blow your head off."

George looked angrily at Wood and said, "It's all your fault! Catch the Snitch or die trying, you must be mad to say that to Harry."

Wood looked at Harry, Fred and George and said, "What now?"

Alicia Spinnet said angrily, "Oliver, be sensible, you can't let Harry deal with that thing alone, we should call for an investigation!"

But Harry shook his head sharply and said, "If we stop now, we'll be disqualified. We can't lose to Slytherin because of an out of control Bludger, we practiced for this game for three months!"

Alicia Spinnet hesitated for a moment and said, "But...."

Ivan rushed over as he shouted, "Let me deal with the Bludger, I think I can solve the problem!"

When the Gryffindor Quidditch players heard him, they turned their heads and looked at him.

Harry asked excitedly, "Ivan, what are you going to do?"

Ivan looked at Harry and said, "You only need to worry about catching the Snitch, leave the rest to me Come on, Harry! I've already written the article about Gryffindor winning, and you can't let me change it!"

Wood as he looked at Ivan and Harry with a firm expression, and said, "Fine! Fred, George, you both heard them, let Harry take care of the Bludger."

At Mrs. Hooch's whistle, the game resumed.

Ivan knew he had to hurry. He pulled out his wand as he ran to the Ravenclaw stands, ignoring Luna, who stood up to greet him.

Ivan shouted "Desmaius," which caused a red light to fly from his wand.

When Dobby, the house elf, heard Ivan's shout, he turned his head as he looked at him a little surprised, Dobby stared at him for a second, but disappeared before the spell hit him.

Ivan, watching the spot where Dobby disappeared, clenched his fists in frustration, remembering that only house elves could appear at Hogwarts, so he could only curse, "Bloody hell!"

At that moment there was an exclamation from within the stands.

Ivan rushed up and saw Harry catch the Snitch, but was hit by the out-of-control Bludger from behind and fell to the ground.
