27 Chapter 27: Special Correspondent

"Oh my god," Hermione said.

Ivan angrily looked at Ron and said, "Ron, you shouldn't have said that, I was about to convince her."

Ron blushed and said, "Come on, Ivan, you really don't like Weeping Myrtle, a sniveling, ugly ghost, do you?"

Hermione blurted out, raising her voice, "Ron!"

Ivan growled, "Of course I don't like her, but she's an important source of information, and I had questions that only she could answer, but now it's all ruined!"

"Ron, you should apologize to Myrtle, while it's true that I don't like her, we shouldn't talk about her like that, especially when those words were overheard by Peeves."

Ron, his face as red as his hair, shouted, "Apologize?!"

Harry nudged Ron and said, "Yes, Ron! I think Ivan and Hermione are right, we said things we shouldn't have said!"

Ron said, "Well, since you all think I should, I'll go apologize to her now."

After that, he turned and ran out of the dungeon as the three people looked at him a bit worried.

Ivan sighed and said, "Come on, I've looked around, and the food here is not for the living. And I also have something to ask Myrtle."

The three walked toward the door when Nick, Almost Decapitated, floated through the crowd and came up to them and said, "My friends, did you have a good time?"

The three looked at each other and lied, saying, "We had a great time."

Nick Nearly Decapitated Nick looked proud as he said, "The number of people who have attended is excellent, even the Wailing Widows have come all the way from Kent, well, it's time for me to start giving my speech."

Nick Nearly Decapitated told the orchestra to stop playing, stood at a podium with a blue colored spotlight shining on him and began to say, "My late Lords, Ladies and Gentlemen, I am deeply grieved..."

Before he could finish his words, a hunting horn sounded and the ghosts looked around excitedly, while Nick's expression looked a little pained.

Suddenly, twelve ghostly horses burst through the walls of the subway classroom, each with a headless rider on top. Everyone in attendance clapped enthusiastically and Harry, Ivan and Hermione kept up with them, but when they saw Nick's nearly decapitated face, they were quick to stop clapping.

The twelve riders went to the center of the dance floor and dismounted their horses.

The one leading the ghosts was a man carrying his bearded head under his arm. The man took his head and held it high in the air so he could see the crowd as he made everyone laugh.

He walked up to the nearly decapitated Nick and said, "Nick! How are you, is your head still hanging on?"

The man laughed and patted Nearly Decapitated Nick on the shoulder.

Nearly decapitated Nick said stiffly, "Welcome, Sir Patrick."

Sir Patrick looked at Ivan, Harry and Hermione and shouted, "Alive!"

And he jumped up feigning surprise, only to have his head fall back and everyone laughed.

Nick, Nearly Decapitated, said with a frown, "Very funny."

Sir's head. Patrick shouted from the floor, "Don't be so sad, Nick!"

Then Sir's head. Patrick looked at Harry and said, "Nick still has a grudge since we wouldn't let him join the headless hunters!"

Harry was about to speak, but noticing the meaningful look on Nearly Decapitated Nick's face and remembering his deal, he rephrased his words and said, "I think.... Nick is terrifying!"

Sir Patrick's head burst out laughing and he said, "Hahahahahahahaha, I guess he told you to say it."

He then ignored Harry and started playing a game of field hockey using his head with the rest of the headless hunters, all the ghosts turned to look at the headless hunters, and no one paid attention to Nearly Decapitated Nick standing on the podium anymore.

Seeing the pathetic appearance of Nearly Decapitated Nick, Ivan sighed and felt he needed to do something.

He walked up to the podium and stood next to Nick, he produced a loud noise using his wand, drawing everyone's attention to him.

Ivan looked at all the ghosts below the could and said, "Good evening everyone, as tonight's special guest, I would like to say a few words from the perspective of a living person."

All the ghosts looked at Ivan curiously, wondering what the young wizard was going to say, a speech from a living person, this seemed more interesting than the headless hunters game.

Ivan said, "As a ghost, Sir Nicholas may not be as intimidating in appearance as Mr. Patrick, but he is a highly respected nobleman, even in the world of the living."

Suddenly there was a lot of chatter, many ghosts doubted what Ivan said.

Ivan, oblivious to the chatter of the ghosts, continued speaking, "To get more people to commemorate his death and to thank him for the help he offered me, I have decided to invite Sir Nicholas to become a special correspondent for "The Magic of Hogwarts" newspaper, and publish his life story in the paper."

The voices of the ghosts grew louder as they all became curious about the work of a "special correspondent".

A ghost's life is so dull that, despite their endless life, they have no senses, and the long years consume their passions, their memories fade, and many ghosts spend their days in dark corners with nothing to do, so immobile that they end up forgetting who they are.

This is the horrible reality for a ghost, so all ghosts desperately look for things to do, but the options are insufficient, this is one of the reasons why headless hunters are so popular.

But only a few ghosts have heads detached from their bodies, and the vast majority of ghosts continue to spend their days with nothing to do.

Being a correspondent for Ivan's newspaper gives them something to do, but they had never heard of "The Magic of Hogwarts" newspaper.

Ivan saw that everyone still had doubts, so he began to explain, "The "Hogwarts Magic" Newspaper is a newspaper specializing in things related to Hogwarts wizards, current copy sales have reached 800, but sales are steadily improving. We have been cooperating with major media such as the Daily the Prophet, Witch's Heart and The Quaker. For example, the article about Sir Nicholas's life will be published simultaneously in the Daily the Prophet and The Magic of Hogwarts."

When Ivan's voice faded, the whole room erupted.

Nick Nearly Decapitated's life would appear in the Daily Prophet, an unprecedented honor for a ghost who had been dead for hundreds of years.

Everyone stared at Nearly Decapitated Nick with a mixture of envy and jealousy.

After a minute, Nearly Decapitated Nick reacted, he looked at Ivan emotionally, thanking him for everything he had done, moved to tears. Ivan believed that if Nearly Decapitated Nick could cry, he had been crying a long time ago.

Ivan's words helped Nick gain the respect of all the ghosts, get his Day of the Dead party back on track, and no one was paying attention to Sir Patrick and the headless hunters anymore.

The ghosts congratulated Nick and floated around Ivan, Harry and Hermione, anxiously asking if there were any openings for special correspondents at the paper.

Ivan thought the more articles, the better.

There were over a thousand ghosts here, all over the UK, if he could convince them and their friends to help collect new articles, the Hogwarts Magic newspaper's news sources would soon be larger than those of the Daily Prophet.

Seeing the level of enthusiasm of these ghosts, Ivan even considered looking for someone to write the stories of their lives as well as their various magical studies.

However, this job would be too big and boring. Young magicians simply could not do the job, so he would have to wait to hire specialized personnel for this task.
