22 Chapter 22: Conflict and Struggle (Edited)

Ivan's trip to Hogsmeade did not go as smoothly as he had hoped; businesses were not willing to spend money on advertising for a newspaper they had never heard of.

However, thanks to Ivan's efforts to persuade them, or simply to get rid of him, there were still some businesses that agreed to sponsor the paper.

For example, Mr. and Mrs. Flume of Honeydukes Candy Store gave him two large cans of cockroach cone that they couldn't sell, the owner of Zonko's Joke Goods Store gave him a bunch of stink bombs, and Mrs. Rosmerta of The Three Broomsticks offered him a free glass of lemonade.

Mrs. Rosmerta told him, "Kids can't drink!"

Ivan said consolingly, "Well, nothing is easy at first, but at least it's better than nothing."

After drinking the lemonade, he carried a giant pile of stuff through the long narrow secret passageway and walked back to Hogwarts.

When he got back to Hogwarts, he saw that the Slytherin students and the Gryffindor students were on the Quidditch pitch arguing about something.

Draco Malfoy was in the center of the crowd, he seemed to have said something nasty to Hermione, and Fred and George were about to pounce on him, while Ron glared angrily at Malfoy as he pointed his broken wand at him.

Ron shouted angrily, "You'll pay for what you said, Malfoy!"

In the next second a large explosion echoed across the field as a green colored spell shot out from the back of Ron's wand and hit him in the abdomen, causing him to fall to the ground.

Hermione, seeing what happened to Ron, walked over to him and said, "Ron, Ron! Are you okay?"

Ron opened his mouth to respond, but what came out were not words, he let out a huge hiccup and a few slugs fell out of his mouth onto the floor.

The Slytherin team players couldn't stop laughing, they were laughing so hard he couldn't stay upright, leaning on his flying broom. Malfoy fell to the ground from laughing so hard at Ron's mistake. The Gryffindor team surrounded Ron, who continued to spit slugs.

Ivan hurried over to the crowd when Colin saw him and happily said, "You're back, Ivan, Ron was hit by his own spell. Harry, you can heal him, can't you?"

Colin excitedly raised the camera and pointed it at Harry.

Ivan pulled out his wand and cast the "silentium" spell on Ron, but the spell didn't work, and Ron spat out a fresh batch of slugs.

As Malfoy laughed, he looked at Ivan with a look of disdain and said, "Look at the stinking little dirty blood, look at his pathetic magic, it doesn't work at all!"

Ivan looked coldly at Malfoy and said, "Is that so, Malfoy?"

Then Ivan pointed his wand that had a red light on the tip and the light hit Malfoy quickly.

In an instant, Malfoy was hit by Ivan's spell.

A Slytherin student saw what happened to Malfoy and said, "Bloody hell, how dare you?"

The smiles on the faces of the Slytherin students disappeared in an instant and they looked coldly at Ivan, several of them quickly drew their wands.

Soon more and more Slytherin pointed their wands at Ivan, while the Gryffindor students soon drew their wands and glared angrily at each other, the tension was reaching its peak.

Malfoy stood up from the ground, raised his wand, pointed it at Ivan and shouted, "Stupid dirty blood, I'll kill you, Bumbler falls!"

This seemed to be a signal and both the Gryffindor and Slytherin students, who were already tense, quickly chanted their spells loudly and for a moment, the entire Quidditch pitch became a battlefield.

Students still sitting in the audience watching the action rushed onto the Quidditch pitch, adding to the already chaotic situation. When several Hufflepuff students saw what was happening and, after looking at each other, turned towards the castle and ran.

On the pitch, Ivan was the main target of the Slytherin students' attacks.

After escaping three spells, he realized that he was too slow to cast a spell of his own, so he decided to make use of all the stink bombs he received earlier.

When he threw a stink bomb, it only hit Slytherin students, this disrupted his spells, and the stench was accompanied by Slytherin screams.

Malfoy was their main target, so now he was covered in a terrible smell.

Fred and George shouted, "Well done, Ivan!"

It wasn't long before

Ivan didn't have much time to be complacent, as more and more students gave up using their wands and began to pounce on their nearest enemy in the most primitive way possible.

For the moment, the burly, smelly Slytherin students had the upper hand, as no one wanted to be near the dung-covered Slytherins, which deprived the Gryffindors from fighting them.

Accidentally, Ivan ran into Blaine Zabini, one of Malfoy's roommates, an arrogant second year Slytherin, and the two rolled on the ground and wrestled, causing Ivan's lip to split and making him gush blood.

Ivan didn't make it easy on Zabini though, he gave Zabini a few punches, and when he was ready to finish the other off, a large hand suddenly separated the two.

Ivan raised his head in surprise and noticed it was Hagrid.

Hagrid, looking shocked, pulled the two apart as he said, "Oh my God, what are they doing?"

Not far away, Harry and Malfoy were in a fight, Ron was still spitting slugs at Goyle, Hermione was fighting here and there, but she was still holding on to her wand, as for Colin and Neville, they were fighting together against Crabbe, and the Quidditch players were fighting on their own.

As for Fred and George, they somehow managed to get more stink bombs and were throwing them at the Slytherin students.

A few seconds later, a loud noise echoed throughout the Quidditch pitch and almost all the professors came out of the castle, Dumbledore was standing solemnly in front of the gates, wand held high.

Professor McGonagall was clearly furious as she said, "A group fight, in all my years at Hogwarts, I've never seen anything like it! Gryffindor and Slytherin will have one hundred points deducted for each, and if this happens again, I will cancel your Quidditch game."

Oliver Wood, the captain of the Quidditch team, tried to say, "But Professor..."

Professor McGonagall with a tone of disappointment in her voice and said, "Quiet, Wood! I thought you'd be better than this!"

Professor Snape asked, "Who started it?"

But Professor Snape's gaze was on Ivan and Harry, who were standing next to him.

All the Slytherin students pointed their fingers at Ivan and Harry and said, "It was Ivan Mason and Harry Potter!"

But the Gryffindor students rebutted, "They're lying, Malfoy started it!"

Ron, who was vomiting slugs added, "He called Ivan and Hermione dirty bloods!"

Professor Snape turned away from Ron with disgust written all over his face, then looked at Ivan and Harry and said, "Shut up, Weasley! I can tell who's lying. As for you two..."

Professor McGonagall intervened at that point and said, "Severus, I believe you are students of my house, so I will decide how to punish you."
