"You are right, but I don't know what can we do about her. Going after her will only serve to turn Minister Fudge against us. Not to mention, she is careful to not leave any evidence behind, which we can use against her." She said.

Well, I can think of many ways to just make her disappear. But, not like I am going to tell her that. She has a strong sense of justice and suggestions like that could lower my reputation. Besides, not like she is personally after me, so I am not as concerned.

"Actually, it could be a good thing. If we can just find a good DADA professor, we can very well profit from this situation."

"I don't understand, how will having Umbridge present in school full of children will help us?"

"Well, you see Madam Bones, Since Minister Fudge is wrapped up in his paranoia of Dumbledore, he will somehow find a way to insist Umbridge's presence in Hogwarts next year. I think appointing her as High Inquisitor to ensure Hogwarts education standards will be as good as an excuse as he would find. This way, she might have the power to dismiss teachers, who are not good at their jobs. But, as she would need to find valid reasons, backed up by proof to dismiss any professors, professors who are good at their jobs won't have any problems. On the contrary, professors who aren't good at their job would be booted out. Also, as High Inquisitor, she won't have any direct influence over the students. At most, she can appoint some of the students as her helpers. This is actually a win-win situation, we can improve Hogwarts education standards by booting out bad teachers using her as well as keep her away from the Minister."

"Yes it could work, but only if find someone who is good enough to teach as well as someone who Minister Fudge and Malfoy won't dare to do anything against. This way, new DADA professor can limit Umbridge's influence on students as she won't go against them since even Minister won't be able to easily touch them." She agreed.

Perfect, this way, when Harry goes to DOM next year, with his merry little band, I will have an excuse to go after them and replace Dumbledore in fighting Voldemort. Nothing like a good reputation builder as beating Dark Lord's ass in front of everyone in ministry. As an added bonus, our fight surely makes the front page, by then everyone will get to know about my strength.

She said after a thing a bit "How about you, Lord Canis? With your multiple Masteries and NEWT scores, no one will be able to question your ability to teach. You also have a DADA mastery, so you can easily get the job and no one will be able to object. Also, as a lord of Canis house, you have enough financial and political clout so they won't be able to easily touch you. Not to mention, with your strength, even Voldemort will think twice about going against you, not to mention his death eaters like Malfoy."

Bingo, I was waiting for her to suggest my name. Now, I don't want to seem overeager, so I am gonna play a bit coy, before accepting.

"Are you sure about this? I mean, many might object, saying I am too young to be a professor. Besides, there is still more than two months left, who knows, maybe we will find someone better suited to teaching than me."

"Alright, no need to be hasty. But, it would be better if we give your name to Dumbledore as a last resort. It would be good if he manages to find someone on his own, but if he doesn't, he will still have you as an option."

"Alright, I am fine with that. So, when are you going to talk to him? It would be better if he were to know about the Minister's plan so he could make ample preparations." I said.

"As current Hogwarts term is coming to an end, I have to Floo there tomorrow morning to pick Susan up, I think it would be better to talk to Dumbledore then."

"Right then, I think that's it for today. Besides, it's already quite late. I am sure we can discuss other issues later." I bid her good night and went to my bedroom.

Tonks already left us to our discussion earlier and went to the bedroom already. Even though she already moved in here two weeks ago, I was busy in my research, trying to make myself stronger, so I spent every waking moment in my lab. So, it will be our first night together since she moved in and we started living together. Let's just say I am looking forward to it.
