23 Chapter 23

It was the night of Yule Ball, I was waiting for my date, Robin, in Ravenclaw Common room. I didn't have to wait too long, I saw her coming out of girls side of dormitories. She looked pretty and wore a beautiful blue dress.

"You look very beautiful, Robin." I complimented her.

She looked happy at that and said, "You also clean up nice."

" So you ready to go?" I asked and she nodded.

We made our way towards the great hall where the ball will be taking place. Soon, enough we reached the doors where Professor McGonagall was standing. Fleur and Krum were already present with their dates Roger Davis and Hermione Granger respectively. Soon enough Harry came with his date, one of the Patil twins if I remember correctly.

" Now that all the champions are here, it is time to get things going. Every champion will go in with their dates when announced, first will be Miss Delacour then Mr. Krum after which Mr. Canis will go inside. Lastly, Mr. Potter, we go in with his date." She told.

Everything went as she told and soon we were sitting at the head table with judges. Percy Weasley was attending on behalf of Crouch Sr. and sitting at the table with us. We all made polite conversations until Dumbledore stood up and announced, " Now that we are all watered and fed, it is time for the champions to start the ball with their dates."

At this, we stood up and made went to the dance floor. Us four champions danced with our respective dates for a while until everyone else started to join us on the dance floor. Soon it was pretty crowded. After a few traditional dances, a popular band, weird sisters, if I remember correctly, came and started fast-paced songs and everyone just went nuts.

After spending a few hours at the ball, I made my way out of there with Robin. Soon enough we were standing in the Ravenclaw Common room. It was empty since everyone was most likely still at the Ball and younger years students must have slept since it was pretty late.

"So, did you have a good time." I asked.

"Yes, I did but the night is not over yet." She replied and pulled me towards the girl's side of the dorms. I guess she is pretty frustrated due to studying for her NEWTs and wants to blow off some steam. Not that I am complaining, as a selfless good guy, I will gladly help her.

That night I found out that legilimancy has many more applications than I thought. Knowing what she wanted, whenever she wanted by passively reading her surface thoughts helped very much. Having vampire like physique and stamina definitely didn't hurt.

It sure felt awesome helping others. Maybe I should help people more often, everything for the 'greater good'.

We woke up pretty late the next morning.

" Good morning, Aiden." She greeted

"Top of the morning to you too, Robin." I greeted back.

"So, last night was awesome. But, I am going to just come out and say this upfront that it was just a one-night thing and I am not looking to be in a relationship right now. I couldn't even if I wanted to since I don't have much free time due to NEWTs preparation." She said.

It's like she just read my mind. If not for the fact that I am a master Occlumans, I would have thought that she was using Legilimancy on me. If I had a time turner, I would have gone back to the time when I selected her to be my date and pat my past self on the back for a job well done.

I made a face like I was disappointed and said, " Even though it's regrettable, I understand."

I started to stand but she pulled me back and said, "Maybe one more time won't hurt." And started to kiss me.

An hour later, I got dressed and put a disillusionment charm on me and made my way out of her room and to my own.

Contrary to her words, Robin and me 'helped each other out' a few more times before the NEWTs exam.
