23 Chapter 19

" Magnus? " I called out. " Where is he? "

" Ah Hadrian! Is everything fine now? " Said Magnus who seemed to arrive from the bathroom.

' So that's where he was. '

" Yup! Now I won't have to deal with headaches. Though I'll be carrying drawing tools with me everywhere now but in my opinion that's better than headaches. "

" That's great. "

" So you weren't worried for me? Cause a little bird said that you were. " I said with a knowing smirk.

~ When did I become a bird? And if I was a bird I wouldn't be little, I'm also older than you. ~

~ Oh shush. ~

~ Rude. ~

Ignoring Death I focused on Magnus who was blushing. Seeing that made me feel warm and of course it made me want to tease him even more.

" I-I was not worried! "

" Riiight, of course it also wasn't you who baked that many of cupcake. " I said pointing my chin towards the mountain of delicious looking cupcakes on the kitchen counter. Magnus did this mostly when he is worried and he doesn't have anything to do, it's either that or drinking an unhealthy amount of coffee.

" Of course not. I ordered them. " He said with a pout and then proceed to look away from Hadrian.

" Of course not. " I said with a shake of my head and an amused smile. With that I walked towards him and gave his left cheek a kiss. " Thank you and I'm sorry to have worried you. "

" Fine. " Magnus said after a long pause to think if he should accept the apology or not. " Well I know for sure that I won't be able to eat all of those cupcakes so want to join me? "

" Gladly. Let's watch a movie with them! "

" Alright, you choose a movie. "

Nodding I left for the living room where I tried to find a perfect movie that would keep both of us awake. After a while I decided to go with {Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End} cause why not.

After Magnus came with the cupcakes and two glasses of water we got comfortable in the couch then started the movie.

A bang on the door got both of us in our defense stance before we heard Clary's voice.

" I bet she's already in trouble and now needs help. " I said stopping the movie.

" Then you would win. I'll get the door. " Magnus said with a sigh.

I heard a groan before Magnus came in with Jace, a bleeding man, glasses boy, and Clary.

" What happened? " I asked, While I got rid of the cupcakes and glasses and Magnus brought a white sheet to cover the couch.

" He was attacked! " Said glasses boy.

" No shit sherlock. Give us more information. " I said.

" He was fighting an Alpha and he got wounded! " Glasses boy continued in a small panicked and overwhelmed voice.

Magnus' face turned into a worried one.

" He needs a warlock. " Clary. " He needs you. "

" Put him here. " Magnus ordered after he finished covering the couch with the white sheet.

The injured man started to mutter somethings and Clary took it upon herself to take calm him down.

The man started to call out for who I think is Clary's mother.

" No, Luke, it's Clary. Can you hear me? "

" Clary, listen to me. Listen... You have to listen to me. I have to tell you, just in case- " He didn't get to finish before Clary interrupted him.

" No, don't even say it, don't. "

" No, listen to me. "

" Luke. "

' Ah that's his name! '

~ I could've told you if you asked you know. ~

~ I actually forgot about that. So who is the glasses boy then? ~

~ How could you even forget that?? Also his name is Simon. ~

~ It's a gift. Also Thanks. ~

Death just sighed (Which is weird since Death doesn't need to breath.) and left his Master to go and do his work.

" No, you need to know! Listen- "

Magnus started to count from three to one. The moment Magnus got to one Luke's eyes turned green and he started to growl causing for Clary to call out God's name.

' So an alpha's bite is poisonous. ' I thought looking at him.

Magnus left after telling the others to hold Luke down. He came back with a bowl and a piece of... bark?
