" Your magic's strong, warlock. Much stronger than that horned weakling I killed this morning. "

" Elias? " Magnus said before sending some magic at the intruder.

" That was his name. Well, lucky for us, he sold you out before I took his warlock mark. "

Magnus sent some more magic forcing a grunt out of the intruder.

" Cat's eyes. Be a nice addition to my collection. "

" Ah fuck your 'I can do it'! " Saying that I took a discarded Shadowhunter sword beheading the idiot. Right after I did he fell and an arrow came stricking above the intruder's heart.

" Aw I wanted to do it myself, plus we could have gotten more information if he kept talking. "

" Yeah he could have expect he decided to talk sh*t about you. " I said calmly trying to convince him.

" True you're never one to sit if someone hurt me. "

" Obviously. Either way, thank you Shadowhunter, you've helped us twice now, though it was not needed... "

" It wasn't a problem. " Alec said.

" I'm Magnus and this is Hadrian. I don't think we've been formally introduce. "

He looked at both of us with a lopsided smile then said;

" Alec. "

' Oh merlin he's adorable when he smiles! ' I thought. I and probably Magnus too stared at him with a smile making him turn shy the next moment.

" Oh, uh... We should really... You know, probably get... "

' Ok am going to die! He's even cuter when he gets embarrassed!! ' I thought.

" Right, we should join the party. "

" Right. " He said before staring at us a couple more seconds then leaving.

" He's cute and hot! That's completely unfair. " I said.

" Even if he wasn't both of those we probably we would still have fallen for him. "

" Well duh, he's our other soulmate and he has a great personality. We would definitely have fallen for him. "

After saying that and Magnus nodding along we went and met up with the others that probably tracked us here.

" Magnus. " Clary said, next to her was a child of one of the guests that we hosted.

' I think her name was Zoe? '

She ran to Magnus and hugged him, while I stood there checking to see is all the intruders are down. I heard him tell the girl after their hug to go and join the other survivors.

" I heard what you did for Zoe. You risked your life without hesitation to save a young warlock child. " He said looking at Clary's expression.

Clary just shook her head and said.

" She was just a girl and she was in trouble. I had no choice. "

" You always have a choice. You're not like the others Clary Fairchild. Most Shadowhunter protect Downworlders out of sense of duty, but you saved young Zoe because of what was inside of your heart. You're more like your mother than you will ever know. "

' Wow that was both cliché and cringy but ok. ' I thought walking back to Magnus' side.

" Magnus, please... you can't hide from this battle. Look, Valentine, he found you once, he will find you again. We need to work together. Help me. "

He looked at me after Clary's little speech. I shrugged before answering his unasked question

" You're already being cliché and cringy so why not. Plus she's right about that guy finding us again if we don't fight back, so really this is probably the only safe choice we have. " I said before thinking, /And the only fun one/.

He looked at me with that look that said he knew what I was thinking, but I only looked away, pretending that I didn't see it.

He sighed then turned back to Clary.

" I can summon the demon, but you must make the demand. Now, I warn you... retrieving your memories will not be easy. "

Clary scoffed a bit before answering Magnus.

" I will do what I have to do. "

' She really reminds me of myself back when I was still a Hogwarts student... I guess she's this world's fate child? I'll ask Death later cause if she is then I'll need to prepare for all the trouble she'll bring without her even knowing. ' I thought.

" Alright. But we're not safe here. The lair's location has been compromised. " Saying that he turned around to address everyone else. " Hold tight, everyone, we're about move. "

He got his magic ready then release it into the building, then made a motion that looked like he was trying to fly but also raise something.

All in all it definitely was not something I would do unless I wanna show off.

After he was done with his show, we teleported to Merlin knows where.

" Show off. " I mumbled.

He acted like he didn't hear me.

" Ah, much better. " He said looking outside the window then turned back to the others looking around. " Ugh, it's inevitable. After each move, I get the itch to redecorate. " He said before turning to face Alec with that face that just said he was going to do something...naughty.

' Dear Merlin. ' I thought.

" Normally, I love a dirty lair, but this one is just sloppy. " Then he stepped on a circular table top. Still looking at Alec.

I just slapped my forehead.

" Knew it. " I said under breath.

Alec looked so weirded out that it just made me laugh.

" Magnus...Hahaha...Too much...! " I said through my laughter.

He just kept looking at Alec like a dog who saw some delicious meat. That just made me laugh harder.

Everyone ignored my crazy self and focused on other things.

" I believe in payment for services rendered. " He said looking at Alec's sister (Isabelle?) and taking out the jewelry. " Thank you for defending the warlocks. "

" I couldn't. " She said.

" Oh, but you could. And you should. " He said going behind her to tie the necklace for her. Then he continued to talk. " The Lightwoods have been wearing this for years. Besides, this would look silly on your brother or Hadrian. "

Isabelle just chuckled.

" About Alec, is he more of a flower or a cologne man? "

Hearing that I got up from my laying position and got closer, since I also wanted to hear the answer.

Before we could get the answer Clary interrupted with questions of how to summon the demon.

' Oh I hate her now. ' I thought with a pout.

Magnus also looked a bit disappointed but held back and answered.

" Are you certain? Summoning such a powerful demon could be lethal. "

" I'll do anything to save my mother. Where is the demon? "

" Okay. Pretty boy, get your team ready. " Magnus said and with his index finger he pointed behind himself where Jace and Alec where.

Jace thought that Magnus was talking about him however Magnus meant Alec.

After the clarification Jace looked at Alec in disbelief and surprise. Alec looked a bit proud and smug about that which made him look like a cat satisfied. Acting innocent he shrugged at Jace.
