Chapter 8.

The doors are then opened for me to see a majestic throne room with some ministers here and there. Now that I get a good look at her, she is definitely Artoria Pendragon. She is extremely beautiful and I can practically feel strength radiating off of her. But that strength is just above what a mortal can ever achieve.

"What took you so long?" Artoria asks authoritatively

"I was just getting accustomed to the city" I casually say while reminiscing the tasty street food I ate earlier

She slightly squinted her eyes at me while giving Merlin a quick glance. But overall, she didn't seem to mind it too much.

I could see the anger in some of the faces of some of the ministers present, but it wasn't too much. Just a little frustration to my nonchalant attitude in front of her highness.

"You may see yourselves out, Ministers" Artoria indifferently said

They begrudgingly bowed out of respect for the Queen and left the room one by one. When the door finally closed announcing to the people remaining that the ministers are gone, silence reigned for a few seconds before anyone spoke.

"You know, the Divine messenger of God, Gabriel, came down not too long ago announcing that more or less, you would be waking up soon". Artoria says while observing what seems to be my every movement

"How is that relevant? Your highness. Whether she announced me waking up or not, how does that information help in any way? Not to be rude." I ask with not so obvious annoyance

She looked taken aback for a second before deeply glaring at me. "For an ex-Angel, you are not very gracious."

"Never claimed to be, setting aside the fact that I was originally human." I snarked at her. "Also, you aren't being very gracious for Royalty." I instantly remarked before she could say anything

"I THOUGHT THAT SINCE YOU WERE A HOLY BEING, THAT YOUR ATTITUDE WOULD BE BETTER!" She screams out in anger

I was honestly taken aback by her sudden change in attitude. Maybe I could be a little kinder, just maybe.

"Gabriel said good things about you, so I thought that we could be civil. I tried to give you face by treating you on equal footing, but NOooOOo. You just had to go and ruin our first meeting." she says while still shaking with a little bit of anger

"What is the point in being this negative anyways? What have I done to you?" she asks shakily with some disappointment evident in her eyes

I don't say a word for a few seconds before I say "I'm sorry, I don't actually know..." I said genuinely confused

Maybe it's a fallen angel tendency? Or a soul de-stabilization due to the reincarnation process? If it is a de-stabilization, it should stabilize after a while. But It's Been A Thousand Years!

Right now, when Artoria looked at Merlin. He nodded. He could probably tell if what I said was genuine or not.

"I'll accept your apology for now. Please don't do that again, it's not very noble nor kind."

I just nodded absently while thinking about all the possible reasons for my aggressiveness. Or maybe I'm subconsciously remembering my past life and it's conflicting with the long life I lived so I have developed a temporary split personality or something?

If that is the case then how would I even fix something like that. I thought as I looked over at Merlin. He might know something, the split personality part. I'll ask him about it later.

But that doesn't make a lot of sense… Then again, I did get reincarnated, so who am I to complain?

"What do you want to talk to me about?"

"I would like to ask if you could help in the fight against le fay" she replied

"Do you have magic?" I asked

"I do, but I prefer the sword" she answered

"That means you can make an unbreakable vow?"

"Yes..."

"Then I have a few conditions for helping, and if you can't or won't give it. Then I won't help you"

"What are the conditions?" she asked just to be formal. I feel like she'll do almost anything to protect the 'kingdom' and its people

"The first is to marry me, taking my surname."

"This is doable," she says after a moment of thought while slightly clenching her fists

"The second is that I don't have to kill Le Fey. Just defeat her and stop her from continuing her attack on Camelot"

She looked confusedly at me "Why?"

"Because it would be a shame for a witch as great as her to die before her prime. I have my ways to persuade her, don't worry. She might even make a good friend in the future."

"If you can stop the war, then it doesn't matter how you do it" she accepted

"Lastly, make me a noble."

"If I marry into your family after the war. Then who will rule the kingdom?"

I just smile

"You'll see. And you'll also be coming with me."

I was planning to time jump with both Artoria and Le Fey when we were grouped together. Not that I would tell Artoria. I mean, I'm still technically ending the war. I'm taking both of them out of the equation and adding them to another! What is that other equation? Who knows?

"When will we leave?"

"Right after I've bestowed the title of being the head of a noble wizarding family, and you marry me."

I need this for when I'm in 20th-century England. That way the purebloods won't try to look down on me for not being a pureblood. Not that it matters, but it will make things easier.

I could talk about marriage, and becoming a noble… But that's boring, so I'll just skip it.

We were finally at the enemy encampment.

"Follow me" I whisper to Artoria

I disillusioned us that we would be hidden from the guards stationed here and there. We finally got to the tent that Le Fey was currently in.

I walk right in and make both me and Artoria appear

Le Fey widened her eyes when she saw me.

"It looks as if you've seen my body at that citadel."

Artoria looks at me and says "Just seen you? She tried to kidnap you… Merlin was there to thwart her."

I raised an eyebrow

"I'm sorry!" she gets down and apologies

"I just didn't want someone as great as yourself being not treated as how you should if you were to wake up."

I look at Artoria

"She is Le Fey right?"

"Yes..." she almost didn't look too sure of herself now

I mean, she is extremely beautiful.

"If I asked you two to stop fighting. Would you?" I ask

"Of course". Le Fey says instantly

"Good". I say not bothering to wait for Artoria' reply

With that, I snap my fingers and we vanish from this time period for good

I'm back! Maybe... It will be a small harem. One, MAYBE two more people other than Artoria and Le Fey. Or it could just be them, who knows? I do. I'll be writing a lot more during spring break, so look forward to it. I have been working on other book Ideas, so those might also be made. Not only are Ideas for this story welcome, but give Ideas that I could write about in another book.
