23 Hogwarts! (Part-1)

{1st Sept 1993}

{9 3/4th Platform, King's Cross station, London}

{10:13 AM}

I walked into the platform through the platform's fireplace. The platform wasn't that crowded yet but many families were still lingering around mingling amongst themselves. I was about to slip away into the train ignoring everyone when a pair of redheads caught my attention so I decided to greet them before going into the train.

"Reagent Bones, heiress Bones" I bowed my head sightly in greeting.

Amelia looked at me her eyes betraying nothing as she responded, "Heir Selwyn, nice to see you are ready bright and early, excited for another year at Hogwarts?"

"Of course Reagent Bones, thank you once again for your help in establishing the shop," I said lightly moving the conversation along. This is our second meeting now, we met a few days after I rented the shop, apparently, someone in the ministry got caught wind of me opening the shop and wanted to stop it from opening.

'I still think it was Madam Primpernelle, her shop has taken a hard hit since my modified purification potion came along.'

"It's no problem, Heir Selwyn, to be honest, I am intrigued by your three patents as well, I don't know the recipe but looking at the effects it could be easily concluded that they are high-level potions." She praised slightly leaving me confused as to what her motive was.

"Thank you Reagent Bones, if you would excuse me I should get settled in," I indicated towards the train and she nodded but spoke before I could leave, "If I could talk to you for a minute Blaise?" Alarm bells rang in my mind as I nodded and we moved a few feet away from the crowd and she started casting some wards around us.

'Wards, That's what I need to focus on this year, Blaise was never interested in the subject so there is a huge gap there.'

"I will be frank with you Blaise, the reason I allowed you to rent the shop and helped you sort out the situation with the ministry was that I have heard about your magical prowess from various sources..." My eyebrows were raised in question so she explained, "All the heir's of the Sacred 28 are important people in our country, you hold 5 votes in the Winzeamont, so it's natural that kids at Hogwarts report back to their parents about all the marked people..." she pointed at me, "... but you never showed any ambition even though you were in Slytherin even though several of your peers have already tried to gain some ground in the wizarding world and many have failed. The Bennet's a prime example, you should know of them. That's why when you all of a sudden applied to rent a shop I was intrigued and that's why you faced trouble so soon because people are keeping an eye on your moves. To some you are quite threatening to their family business, take Madam Primpernelle for example."

I nodded and processed this new piece of information as I asked, "What o you want, Reagent Bones?"

'If it is too excessive I may need to change my shop's spot, dammit and it was in such prime position.'

"Don't be alarmed Heir Selwyn, I don't need anything harsh, nor I am blackmailing you, it is up to you to help if you want." Her expression was neutral but I still figured it out even though she won't force it, her evaluation of me would change.

'Tch- Like I care about your affirmation' I wanted to scoff but controlled myself as she continued.

"I..." she stopped, her face showing some emotion as I looked in surprise as she calmed down and dropped her shields, her face getting lighter as she said, "Susan has been with me since that dreadful day, I have loved her like my daughter and now she is going into this unfamiliar world, I know how Hogwarts work Blaise, it seems like a wonderful place on the surface, but the place is still crawling with spiteful kids who don't have any understanding of how dangerous magic can be. I want you to keep an eye on her, her Heir ring could stop any and all potion dosage attempts but her wand work isn't up to par right now." she sighed and looked back at Susan who was happily chatting with a blond while her eyes shifted to us every few seconds.

"You do know you are asking a Slytherin this?" I confirmed.

"I'm not an idiot Blaise, you may try to hide it but your scar reveals more than you expect them to..." My finger didn't move as I resisted the urge to trace the scar.

I sighed and nodded, "I'll make sure that no second year or above would try to manipulate her, she would need to deal with her classmates all by herself..." I finished.

She nodded and I walked out of her privacy wards and she followed, I ignored Susan's questioning look and boarded the express. Quickly finding an empty compartment I placed a strong locking charm on the door and got myself comfortable.

'Susan Bones huh, she was quite beautiful to be fair...'

An image of a long-haired redhead with bright blue eyes flashed in front of me as I admired her face before moving on and fishing my trunk out of my pocket and placing it on the opposite seat. Fishing the locket out of the trunk I levitated it carefully and pondered on how the hell would I get it past the school wars.

'Ginny just carried the Diary in without any problems so I should be fine. I don't believe canon Dumbeldore was evil and would purposefully let an 11-year old suffer for months just to complete his plans. So that would mean that the locket won't be detected... at least I hope so, I don't want to be under Dumbledore's radar just yet. Maybe I should plant this on someone and retrieve it later, but then if it gets confiscated then I would lose this and I soo wanna know what would happen if I place the locket and the Diadem next to each other.'

The train started moving so I checked my charms on the door and looked as the wizards and witches outside started waving their hands in goodbye. I levitated the locket back into the hidden compartment and picked up a book on runes that I have been ignoring because of my studies in the wanted subjects.

'''Celtic runic language is one of the oldest and most widely recognize the runic language, first used somewhere in the year 789, the Celtic runic clusters became popular in the late 800's due to their long-lasting nature and efficient mana usage...'''
