chapter 3 : Help for the family

While Ron was sulking on his bed, Fred, George and his little sister Ginny came to find him.

George: Look at our little Ronald sulking...

Fred: Hey Ron, we believe you. Are you telling us about what you found there?! We're interested!

Ginny didn't say anything as she picked Ron's cat up in her arms, Percy had gone with his pet rat Scabbers to school because Ron's cat kept wanting to kill him even though the poor rat remained permanently in a cage for his own safety.

Ron: I can show you but we all have to be on board.

Fred: Gorges, our brother wants to play dirty tricks on our parents...

Georges: I'm holding back tears, this little one is growing up so quickly! You can count on us Ron.

Ron: Ginny, are you going to help us?

 She nodded, smiling.

While Molly was complaining about her son's first big mistake by feeling guilty for scolding him, she heard a noise in the kitchen as Ginny had dropped some dishes which broke.

Worried, she immediately ran there with Arthur listening to their daughter's cries and once they left the living room, the trio of boys came out, Fred with a pickaxe and George with a shovel with Ron in front. and they left the house.

Once at the hill, Ron showed them the location and they started digging under the oldest tree indicated by Ron where after a while, they ended up seeing the chest.

 Fred: A treasure!!!!

Georges: Guys, we are rich! I take 50% of what's in there.

 Fred: No, I take 50%

 Georges: No, it's me.

They started bickering and Ron intervened.

Ron: Stop bickering, what's in there might help our family. Since I was born I have only seen Dad working constantly and Mom taking care of us, we are not rich and even you have certainly noticed that for Percy's supplies they were quite worried. If there's treasure in there don't you think it could improve our family's lifestyle?! How will they do next year with you two? And when will it be my turn and Ginny?

Georges: It's okay Ron, we weren't serious you know…

Fred: We also saw that it was hard for them.

 Georges: Fred cried.

 Fred: No, you cried.

Ron: Let's bring this home first, Ginny's diversion isn't going to last long.

Georges: Don't underestimate her, she can cry for a long time.

 Fred: Very long time.

They dragged the trunk home and when they entered, their mother was already waiting for them with well-sculpted anger on her face.

Molly: You three will go to bed with very sore buttocks. I hope you have an excellent reason to put me in this state tonight.

« If you have to punish anyone then it will be me. I'm the one who asked for their help but please mom I know you're worried but sometimes you should listen to us first, right? » Ron said stepping in front of his brothers.

Fred: No mom, I'm the one responsible...

Georges: Yes mom, Fred is responsible.

"Traitor!" Fred said to his partner who let him down.

Arthur: Children, we are listening to you.

 Molly: ARTHUR YOU-(interrupted)

Arthur: I know you're worried about them but it's not like we never disobeyed our parents in our time. Besides, Ron isn't the type to do things without a reason, if he insisted it might be because it's important. (looks at the boys) What is this chest behind you?!

Ron: That's what I wanted to tell you about and what was under the old tree on the hill. We think it's a treasure chest or something valuable that might help us. We don't know how to open it, maybe by magic!

" A treasure ? Ahahahah it's true that's curious" he got up to come towards them with amusement without taking them too seriously with Molly watching. The boys moved the chest forward and Arthur, seeing no apparent lock for a key, took out his wand to wave it.

 "Alohomora"

He said the spell and suddenly...

 *clack*

 *clack*

 *clack*

Noises were heard from the chest which immediately opened as countless pure gold coins began to come out in abundance and there were even too many for the chest, the living room floor was completely covered in a thick layer of gold coins and precious stones as well as several other valuable items.

 Arthur:…

 Molly:…

 Twins :…

 Ginny: *Inhales*

 Ron: (Smiles)

 « It's a…a…a treasure!!! » Arthur said in disbelief.

Molly immediately passed out or gold as the boys dove in to start playing with the coins singing about how they were rich now. Ginny also joined them.

« Dad, There is a letter…it looks old. » Ron took the letter from the ground and handed it to his father who opened it before reading it.

"For the faithful service of my disciple and late friend Geoffrey Weasley, I bequeath this treasure to his family and direct descendants. This is very little compared to the services rendered by this exceptional man who gave his life for my cause against the great black witch, the fairy Morgane.

 With all my friendship, Merlin.

 (signature and seal) »

Arthur while reading this letter had his eyes that wanted to pop out of his sockets, this letter was written by Merlin himself, the mage of the legend, the enchanter and one of his direct ancestors happened to be one of the companions of this legend.

Emotion rose within him and he began to cry with gratitude, joy and other things. Ron looked at his father smiling before noticing a small vial containing a clear liquid he took it and it had "Permanent Beautification Potion" written on it in one of the ancient languages he had learned.

Ron looked at him before smiling, he knew it was sure since it came from his teacher.

 *boop*

He removed the small cap before drinking the contents in one gulp without the others paying attention to him and in just a few seconds, a high fever attacked him and he immediately fell unconscious.

When the others noticed this, they immediately rushed to him only to notice that he was running a high fever and panic filled everyone's hearts.

When Ron opened his eyes the next day his mother was sleeping on her bed next to him, he also had a towel on his forehead, the wizarding world had spells to close wounds but when it came to viruses or purely illnesses compatible with humans, some wizards could be as helpless as muggles.

"Mom…mom…what happened?!" He tiredly asked his mother who was awakened by his voice and when she looked at her son's face, she let out a cry which alerted the whole house who arranged to meet in his room.

They all looked at Ron with shocked faces and Ginny dropped her stuffed animal. The face of the Ron known in the films had become different, his cheeks had hollowed out, his features more fitted, his nose straighter and his jaw sharper. He had become much more handsome and charming.

Sure, he had changed and they knew it was Ron mostly because of his bright green eyes but it was a real shock.

Molly: My Ronald, my little baby, what happened to you?!

Fred: Ron, it doesn't matter what you took but I want it too...

 Georges: NO, me first !

Ron: In the treasury there were several vials and I picked up one of them, it smelled so good I couldn't resist. Plus it's a gift from Merlin himself for our family, right? I didn't think if it could harm me.

« What if that's the case chick?! What if it had been poison?! You don't know how I felt seeing you in this fever after I scolded you ignoring the fact that you were right. I'm sorry baby, but don't ever do that to me again, okay ? » She said crying before taking her child into her arms and Ron promised her to be careful in the future.

Fred and George, knowing that their brother had become more handsome thanks to one of the potions from the treasure, they immediately went downstairs but their mother seriously ordered them not to touch anything.

 Ron: Where's Dad?

Molly: Your father went to have the treasure letter analyzed at the ministry and if it is indeed Merlin's signature and seal, you will have made a discovery which will enormously help our family Ronald. I should have believed you yesterday, you were always the wisest with your sister and Percy.

She brought him food but as he was still tired, he fell asleep again afterwards.
