11 chapter 11 : Ron's Sharp Tongue

Classes started the following days and Ron had already started gaining points with Hermione even if he sometimes slept during some lessons.

 Defense Against the Dark Arts class had started and the teacher came to introduce himself much to Ron's annoyance because it was Guilderoy Lockhart.

 Ron upon seeing him desperately begged for sleep to come and take him, Lockhart boasted that he had a duty to teach them how to defend themselves against the creatures of darkness.

 For a demonstration he showed Cornwall elves and there Ron definitely went to bed seeing these cheesy creatures.

 Lockhart unleashed the imps on the students and they caused chaos in the room, he tried to cast a spell but they snatched his wand.

 The students emptied the room and only Ron, Harry and Hermione remained, to whom Lockhart left the task of capturing the little beings before fleeing.

 Harry: What do we do?

 "Either you take care of them and they live, or I take care of them and I kill them" Ron said completely annoyed by the noise of these creatures and Hermione took matters into her own hands.

 "Immobilis" she said the spell and all the elves froze in the void before falling to the ground.

 "Thank you" Ron told her before raising his wand and waving it lazily when all the objects in the room returned to their places.

 Harry: Wow! Ron how did you do that?!

 Ron: I'll teach you.

 Hermione: Will you show me too?

 Ron: If you want.

 Harry: What do we do now?

 Ron: We're waiting for our reward.

 Hermione: What reward?!

 Lockhart came back into the room and found everything was in order so he resumed his boastful demeanor. But before he spoke, Ron beat him to it.

 Ron: 50 points to Gryffindor and 20 points to each of us.

 His two friends looked at him in astonishment.

 Lockhart: What then?

 Ron: You heard me right, Professor. Give us these points and Professor Dumbledore will never hear of this. These imps sowed chaos and stole your wand with which they could have done serious damage if we had not neutralized them while you fled.

 Lockhart: Are you blackmailing me, young man?

 Ron: Very good, 60 points for Gryffindor and 30 points each.

 Lockhart: YOU...!

 Ron: It's your reputation on the line, not ours. I can increase the winnings further.

 Lockhart: It's okay, you win.

 Ron: You are such a generous teacher... (to the others) Let's go, that first lesson with him was incredible!

 They left there, Hermione and Harry didn't even bother to look at the teacher.

 Hermione: Are you crazy?! What if it goes wrong? It's Guilderoy Lockhart!!

 Ron: If you're not happy then go ask him to subtract your points and stop bothering me (Yawn).

 Harry: In any case, it was well done!

 Ron: This is my brother.

 They high-fived each other and continued moving forward.

 Another day, while DuBois the captain of the Quidditch team took the Gryffindor team to practice with Harry and Ron, they were cut off by the Slytherin team (Slytherin) who wanted to do the same thing and they had a note from Snape who guaranteed them a reservation of the field all to themselves to train their newest seeker Draco Malfoy and he bragged about the new flying brooms his father had given the team.

 "But at least no Gryffindor players paid to be on the team. They were selected for their talent" Hermione who accompanied her friends said to defend them and Malfoy came closer to look at her with contempt.

 Malfoy: No one asked your opinion, you mudblood.

 Ron saw Hermione seriously offended by the insult because of her two non-mage parents and he came to calm her down.

 "Hey, don't worry, just watch" he whispered in her ear.

 "It's okay Malfoy, you won and the field is yours, there's no point in insulting her" Ron tried to calm the situation or at least pretended so much that even Fred and George believed that he was going to give up in front of Malfoy.

 Malfoy: At least you recognize who's superior here! Let's go guys.

 He said as he left with his team and Harry wanted to say something to Ron when Ron asked him to wait before discreetly rubbing his thumb and index finger together and immediately, Malfoy dropped his broom to grab his bottom stomach moaning and everyone looked at him.

 He wanted to take a step forward and suddenly…

 *Sprrooooooooorgrrrtt*

 A very recognizable noise was heard as from the bottom of Malfoy's pants we could see a brown liquid paw, he had shit himself on it.

 *sniff*

 *sniff*

 « My God what smells like that?! It smells like shit!!! » Ron complained after smelling the smell like everyone else.

 "Look, it's from Malfoy!" A girl from the Gryffindor team said as they all noticed the droppings on the floor and the teasing followed with a crying Malfoy.

 Ron's brothers knew it was him and stayed silent either because they were impressed or because they were scared.

 Ron may have gone a little strong but Malfoy insulted Hermione in a hurtful way by referring to her parents.

 The insult was infamous so when he saw the hurt on the girl's face, he had to act and not lightly.

 Ron: Let's leave, this place stinks.

 They left and Hermione thanked him even though she cried a little, poor girl.

 One evening, the trio was moving through the corridors when Harry heard whispers several times he was dragged somewhere by them and they came to a place where they noticed several spiders running away but also Argus Filch's cat which was inert and suspended on a string with a message written in red next to it...

 "The chamber of secrets has been opened, enemies of the heir beware" and it was written in blood.

 They watched this from a good distance and several people came there to find the scene with the trio already present. Ron sensed trouble coming.

 "Enemies of the heir beware...next will be the mudbloods" Malfoy said looking at Hermione and Filch arrived to see his pet in this state.

 He looked at Harry who was a little further forward and his cat hooked and the deduction was quick for the idiot.

 Filch: Potter, you killed my cat ?!!!

 Harry: No…No…

 "I'M GOING TO KILL YOU, I'M GOING TO KILL YOU" he said poignantly to Harry and Ron already had his wand pointed at him.

 Ron: Let go of Harry right away please, you have no proof of what you are saying and without an investigation I don't believe you have the right to threaten to death a student at this school and even less a Gryffindor student under my eyes.

 "It's true, you have no proof!" 

 "Let go of Harry."

 "Don't threaten Harry without proof"

 The other Gryffindor students listening to Ron also showed their support when Dumbledore intervened then asked Filch to let go of the student and Ron also lowered his wand.

 Dumbledore: Everyone goes to their dormitories immediately.

 Snape: Things can't stop there when a student threatens the staff with his wand (Look at Ron)

 Ron: Absolutely, especially when the staff is clearly threatening to kill a second grader. Should I add that he has absolutely no evidence against Harry but Malfoy seems to know something? When we arrived here, he read the writing, telling my poor friend that the next ones will be the mudbloods in a threatening tone and there are witnesses.

 "He's right, Malfoy made that clear"

 The others confirmed this while Malfoy had a serious look on his face.

 Filch: Ask them, Ask them what they were doing there then.

 Ron: If you want to ask us this question, you'll have to ask everyone because we all found ourselves here for the same reason as the others, we were walking. But look, the person wrote with blood, search us if you find blood or the slightest hair from your ugly pet!

 Dumbledore: Enough now!! Filch your cat is not dead but only petrified. You three go back to your dorms and stay safe.

 Ron and the others left with him ahead to go to their dormitories, they saw Ron as some kind of leader now and that annoyed him more than anything else, he had lessons with Merlin earlier and didn't didn't get enough sleep during the day.
