28 28 - Harry Potter and the Blocking of Magic.

Without giving them any time to even begin to move or react, I cast out my wand from its holster, pointed it at them and cast 4 consecutive stunners.

Watching as they all slumped to the ground, I sighed and started entering their minds and altering their memories of me.

When I got to the last boy, I felt a bit of shock as I could feel the magic in him that was stronger than any muggle, he was definitely magical.

Entering his mind, I immediately backed out and took another look at just who it was. He had wild black hair that was full of sweat, obviously from physical exhaustion, but the real shock was what was behind it, a sickly red scar in the shape of a lightning bolt. I could feel the slimy, black magic inside of it and realised just who I had found.

It was Harry Potter.

'Oh shit, this is bad, what if Dumbledore notices he was forced unconscious? He's got to have every bit of tracking and detection magic he knows cast on Harry Potter of all people.'

I waited for a minute while sorting out my thoughts and keeping myself completely invisible and undetectable. 'I doubt Dumbledore really cares if he's made unconscious, if the state I found him in was any indication. Not to mention, you can't monitor how somebody is knocked out, it could be from complete exhaustion or a simple stupefy, all Dumbledore will know is that Harry is not awake, a little weird at this time of day, but I seriously doubt he'll show up for now.'

Casting a strong Notice-me-not charm spell around the area I was in, I decided that I might as well see how the oh so famous, 'boy-who-lived' was doing.

What I found.. wasn't good.

First of all, I knew he was 11 at this point, and yet he looked like he was 8 or 9 at the most. Casting all of the examination spells that I knew, my face grew more and more serious as I read along.

It turned a dark blue, almost black when it was showing malnutrition, which means he's seriously underfed, not life-threatening but certainly not healthy, no wonder he looks so much smaller than his age.

He's broken his right arm twice, left arm once, left leg once, fractured his femur on his right, his skull has been slightly cracked at one point and two of his fingers on his right hand were in a wrong shape, not one of these broken bones have been seen by a healer and were healed naturally by his magic, which was seriously not good as your magic can't heal you perfectly, and now many of his bones are now slightly misshapen.

His entire body is covered in bruises, apart from his face, and he has many lashes on his back which appeared to be from some kind of belt, some new, others old.

His left eye-socket is slightly damaged and his magic hasn't been able to fully heal it, possibly from a blunt-force trauma which means he probably struggles to see straight, and that's on top of his already bad eyes that were born needing glasses.

This wasn't even the worst part, his magic was nothing short of atrocious.

He had a 10% block that was to stop large bursts of accidental magic when young, it should have been removed when he was 3.

There was a soul-leech in his head which constantly needed 15% of his magic to keep away from infiltrating and taking over his mind.

There were blood-wards that were siphoning off 30% of his magic that were extraordinarily illegal when used in any way, shape or form.

Overall, he had access to 45% of his magic, and that wasn't even all of it. Looking into his mind, the first thing that I noticed was a mental block, and a very big one at that. It took me over 2 minutes to finally find its source and that was of intensive searching. I found a mental block stopping over 40% of his learning capabilities on top of an anti-occlumency block.

I also felt another block somewhere but could not find its source, but even with what I had found right now, I felt almost sick.

This wasn't even all of it. There were no signs of vaccination be it magical or muggle and really the only thing that I found in his blood-stream was an incredibly obscure blood-tracking charm.

The blood-wards, anti-occlumency block and the block that diminished his learning abilities were all internationally banned forms of magic and any one of them being cast on anyone, nevermind a child, would land the caster in azkaban for life or even being kissed by a dementor, and that's just Britain.

All 3 of them had the same magical signature that I would recognise anywhere ever since I had used the mage-sight of my Super Contact Lenses.

Albus Dumbledore.

If there was any doubt of Albus Dumbledore being evil before, then this absolutely confirmed it. I wasn't even a healer, but I still felt the need to heal him as soon as possible, but I didn't.

I needed to form a plan, not jump in like a Gryffindor. If I were to remove all of the blocks and start helping him straight away, then Dumbledore would obviously know something is wrong and start searching around.

I needed to take a more subtle approach, make it completely impossible to be traced even near to me. The Potters, even before the whole Boy-Who-lived fiasco, were very wealthy and powerful both politically and magically, and if i'm right, and events also proceed like canon, or at least 3rd year does, then he'll also become the heir to the Black Family.

Overall, a very powerful ally.

He was covered with tracing and detection spells and I knew that if I tried helping him right now or removing the tracing spells, Dumbledore would be here in seconds.

I needed to form a plan, help him from the shadows but make sure he knew there was someone helping him so that he would be grateful to me in the future, all while escaping Dumbledore's notice.

I noticed that his magical core, without any sources draining it all day, was huge. It was even bigger than mine at his age which was really not surprising considering just how much hammering and draining his magic has had to go through.

The soul-leech, as long as it was removed by his final magical maturity at 17, wasn't too hard to remove, though it would get harder as time goes on, and after 17 it would take a master-level healer a lot of effort and time to get it out.

The rest were mostly the same, the longer they are there, the worse they are for his magic and if he reaches past 20, then they'll fuse with his magic making him 40% dumber and half as powerful permanently, he'll also never be able to learn occlumency.

For now, I healed his left-eye so that he could see straight again, slightly separated his magic from all of the drains on it, making it a little easier to cope for him and his magic, and healed all of the bruises and scars that I could, but his body still had multiple scars all over it.

I couldn't do much more without tripping one of the many tracking or detection spells on him, the last thing that I did was heal the previously broken bones, straightening them out which if he wasn't unconscious, would have been very painful.

To get rid of the blocks on his magic, I would need to have him learn occlumency. If Dumbledore knew they were being removed, he'd become extra suspicious and alert.

I realised just how many chances Dumbledore had to check and mess with Harry's magic. He always ended up in the hospital at the end of the year, fainting after Quirrel died, rescued from the Chamber of Secrets and fainting after fighting off 100s of dementors, not to mention all of the times he was called into Dumbledore's office.

Deciding i'd deal with it in the future, I discretely altered his memories like the others, making him never remember seeing me appear in front of him.

The last thing that I did was put compulsion charms on the kids who were beating him, one being Dudley, to not be interested in beating up Harry or do 'Harry Hunting', maybe it'd be easier to live without the little bastards constantly beating him up, though I couldn't do anything about Vernon's beatings or the loneliness of being locked in a pitch black-cupboard with no friends to talk to or think about.

Making myself invisible, I cast 'Rennervate' on each of them and watched as they all groaned and got up from the floor.

Dudley, the fattest and tallest out of the 3, looked at Harry and called him a 'Freak' before walking off, his 2 goons in tow. If it wasn't for my memory and compulsion charms, they probably would've started beating him up again.

Harry just looked confused before trudging off in the same direction they went, out of the Alley.

When I was in their minds, I found out where they lived and it was about a mile away, apparently no magical people were able to find Harry's house due to the wards which was probably why I never saw it during my few explorations of the neighbourhood while I was a kid.
