6 A predestined enemy.

In a large forest in New Zealand, trees with logs as thick as 10 men and as tall as a building towered through the forest. On the ground, small plants fought for the few rays of sunlight passing through the leaves of the large trees.

Small animals and colorful insects blended into the landscape. Forming a beautiful vision, worthy of a painting.

But if you look carefully, you would feel a magical aura in this forest. To the Muggles, this feeling could be described as the pleasure of getting out of the chaotic city life or love of nature. But for wizards, this sense of pleasure came from the abundant mana in the environment.

Not all forests have this kind of aura. But the forests it has are extremely beautiful and dangerous. In these forests live one of the most dangerous creatures in the world. The dragons.

"Crack"

A crack sounded from behind a large rock. The leaves distorted for a moment and then three wizards appeared.

"How I hate Apparating," said a fat boy with his hands over his mouth.

"After a few times you get used to it," said a bearded guy.

"Why did we have to bring this fat kid with an agent?" A guy with a scar on his face spoke angrily.

"Silence Burghart, complain to the boss when we get back," the bearded guy said with a serious frown.

"It's not like I want to be here either." The fat boy shrugged.

"Let's get on with it, the faster we finish, the faster we get out of here." The bearded guy said.

The three wizards walked through the woods for a while. The only sound heard was the fat boy trying to kill the mosquitoes. During the walk, neither wizard said anything. Until the fat man asked a question that left the others open-mouthed.

"What are we going to do in the woods?"

The two wizards stopped their walk and stared at the fat boy strangely.

"The boss sent you here, and didn't he tell you what we'll come for?" Burghart asked with a slight smile.

"Yes, any problem? isn't it usually like this? "

"Yes, of course, it is." The bearded man said, placing his hand on the fat boy's shoulder.

"By the way, why only did I have to bring my broom?" The boy asked with a bad feeling.

As the two wizards went to explain to the boy, a roar shook the leaves of the trees.

"What was that !!!" the boy asked with a white face of fear.

"Boy, get your broom and run away as fast as you can. After a while agent will save you" the bearded guy spoke to a face seriously.

"What? No, wait where you go !!! "the boy shouted when the wizards apparated, and left him alone.

"ROAR"

"Ahh!" With a shout, the boy fell to the floor in panic. He picked up his broom and flew off as quickly as possible. There were many trees in his path, and sometimes he bumped into some. His body was already all bruised, but he was in no pain from the adrenaline rush.

The boy's heart was beating very fast, his hands were cold and sounding a lot. His most basic instinct was to escape as quickly as possible. Looking back he could only see trees, but he knew there was something following him.

He felt something was approaching him very quickly. With a desperate decision, he flew skyward. He thought that if it was not obstructed by the trees, it would be easier to escape. But that was a bad decision.

As he stepped out of the woods the sunbeams hit his face, giving the boy some peace. But an extremely roar startled him so badly that he almost fell off his broom. Looking back the boy saw sharp teeth almost upon him.

By pure luck, the boy pulled the broom in the right direction and dodged the Dragon's attack. Looking at the creature that attacked him the only thing the boy could talk about was. "Holy sh * t"

Not far away, the other two wizards were walking very carefully toward the dragon's nest.

"We were very lucky, look!" Burghart said pointing to the dragon's nest that was in a cave.

"5 eggs, really great luck, this will make good money," The bearded guy said.

"Haaaaa" a scream not far away made the two wizards looked back.

"We have to be quick, otherwise that idiot won't last long." The bearded guy said as he took the eggs and put them in a special bag.

"Relax, dragons are dangerous but they are dumber than a chicken, he'll be fine," Burghart said.

"But chickens can't fly, nor can they spit fire," the bearded guy said as he put the last egg away.

"ROAR"

When they were about to apparate the dragon roared differently.

"That fat one is lucky, the chances are slim that a dragon will invade another dragon's territory. And that's what is happening now. "Burghart said as he rubbed his chin.

"Let's go, Burghart," the bearded man said as he apparated.

A few miles away, the fat boy was leaning against a tree. He was panting a lot, his clothes were all tattered and burned. His face was dripping blood, his hands were shaking as he held his wand. His broom had broken, so his only alternative was to hide. But the dragon was following the scent of the fat man's blood, and the fat man knew it, but he had nothing to do. He stood in panic as he listened to the approaching dragon's footsteps.

Every second felt like an eternity, he didn't know how to apparate or could run with a broken leg, he could only wait. The fat boy cursed the day he accepted this service, but when the dragon was about to come to him, the dragon stopped.

"Roar"

The roar less than 2 meters from him made him turn whiter than he was. And your clothes dirtier than before.

The fat heard the sound of the dragon flying, and he sighed with relief.

"I'm alive," the fat man said and soon passed out.

"Crack"

The two wizards appeared in front of the fat man and scowled.

"My god, what is that smell?"

"Is that burnt shit?"

"I told you not to bring this fat, now you take him."

With a frown, the bearded guy caught the fat man as he was about to Apparate Burghart spoke.

"Warn the boss that I'm going after a new dragon's nest"

"You don't even know if it's a femeá dragon, and are you already after the nest?"

"We have to take this chance before the lizard lovers show up."

"Ok, I warn the boss. Just be careful not to end up dying. "

"Haha, a dumb lizard could never kill me."

"Crack"

After they left, Burghart pulled his wand out of its holster and began to look for the fat man's broom. After a few minutes, he saw the broom a few feet away.

Pointing his wand at the broom he cast the spell "ACCIO"

The broom came flying toward her. The condition of the broom was poor, it was broken and some pieces of wood were missing. Setting the broom down, Burghart pointed his wand again and cast another spell.

"Broom REPARO" Missing parts of the broom to fly from all directions rejoined the broom. Cracks, scratches and broken parts were being fixed at incredible speed. It even seemed that the broom was going back in time, the moment before the accident.

Burghart mounted the already fixed broom and flew toward where the dragon had gone.

Burghart was flying slowly, he didn't want to go fast and bump into two fighting dragons. After a few miles, Burghart found no trace of the dragons. So he stopped the broom and twirled his wand around himself and cast a spell.

"APPARE VESTIGIUM!" A golden haze came from the tip of the wand, covering a large area where he was. When the fog cleared, several animal holograms formed.

The holograms were like a recording of everything that had happened there.

The holograms showed creatures coming and going through the forest. With a wand gesture, everything sped up. The holograms moved rapidly from side to side. At one point a hologram of a dragon appeared. With another wave of his hand, everything was back to normal.

Now, knowing the direction the dragon went Burghart accelerated in his pursuit.

It was not long before Burghart found traces of fighting between dragons. Burned areas, trees destroyed in various places. Flying slowly Burghart searched around, in the distance he saw the silhouette of a dragon.

Burghart descended and stood among the treetops. Twisting the wand around his body, he cast a charm on himself.

"DISILLUSIONMENT CHARM!" Burghart's skin and clothing were changing. Its texture and color became the same as the surrounding vegetation. Much like a chameleon.

Now in a safe place. Burghart looked closely at where the dragon was. The first thing Burghart noticed was that there was only one dragon. There were no signs of another dragon anywhere. Burghart was disappointed because the other dragon had already fled. This pursuit had been a waste of time.

"Why is this lizard in this position?" The dragon was motionless and with its head bowed, as if it had been prostrating itself.

How far Burghart was, he could not see in much detail. Then he cast a spell to improve his vision.

"VISUM AUGET" His pupils dilated and his vision became like a camera zoom. The closer the vision got, the stranger the situation got. The dragon was prostrating itself as if a god stood before him. Burghart looked where the dragon was looking and saw nothing there.

Burghart stared at that spot for a clue, but nothing changed. At that moment the sky was foggy, and a leftover passed where the dragon was looking.

A silhouette of a dragon appeared. The silhouette was twice as large as the ordinary dragon. On the dragon's head were two horns turned back, the dragon was transparent as a ghost. If you don't look carefully, you wouldn't notice.

At that moment Burghart's heart began to beat fast. He didn't know why, but that dragon gave a sense of extreme danger.

As Burghart was about to leave, his gaze met the dragons. In that split second, Burghart met the dragon's red eyes. Unlike other dragons, those eyes were not those of an unreasonable beast.

Burghart closed his eyes quickly and broke the spell. Feeling that the dragon had seen him, with a decisive move he intended to apparate. But a strong gust pushed him back.

Gripping the broom tightly, he didn't look back but left as quickly as possible to gain some space. He would only need a few seconds to apparate, but one wrong move could cost his life.

He didn't know how, but when he looked ahead, the dragon was there.

A decisive look formed in Burghart.

"Let's the dance you wretched lizard!" Burghart shouted as he twirled his wand.

Burghart cast a series of spells. A golden lightning bolt came out of the wand and went towards the dragon, who had no way to deflect. An explosion covered the dragon, the trees were thrown away with the impact of the explosion.

Burghart didn't stop and I continue another spell. Pointing his wand at a large rock, he used a combination of two spells. The stone first floated a few feet to the ground, then flew quickly toward the dragon.

"Bang!"

The collision of the stone with the dragon made a great bang, shards of the stone flew everywhere.

Burghart used another spell, created a shield wrapped around himself. As he was already making the move to cast another spell, he heard it a hideous laugh.

"Hahaha ... maybe if you were using a sword, this dance would be more fun." The voice was calm and slow, but it sounded very different from the human voice. At that moment Burghart felt a chill in his belly, a giant ball of fire coming toward him.

With a quick way, Burghart cast the spell to defend himself.

"AQUA ERUCTO" a giant ball of water flew towards the fireball.

"BOOOOM !!!"

The explosion between fire and water threw Burghart into the distance.

Burghart fell to the ground spitting blood. Taking a deep breath, Burghart tried the apparatus again. But strange black vines emerged from the ground and arrested him. The vines blocked any movement, and the use of mana.

Despair appeared on Burghart's face.

"That's the perfect expression for your kind." The dragon's terrifying voice sounded closer and closer.

Burghart fought hard to get out of the vines, but it was useless. He was under arrest.

The dragon is misted with dust, and Burghart can see the dragon perfectly.

The vines moved and left Burghart standing in front of the dragon. Only the dragon's aura makes him uncomfortable. Desperation was mounting, he had never heard of a dragon that could speak, much less this size.

"Don't worry, it's just going to hurt a lot hahaha" the devilish voice sounded amused by the situation.

The dragon approached 1 meter from Burghart. Burghart would have screamed if he could, but he could not scream or move any part of his body. At that moment of desperation, Burghart noticed that the dragon was more transparent. Probably the dragon was losing strength, but that was useless now.

"Lun Fus" the words resonated like a whisper.

The dragon spoke in a strange language, and Burghart felt the magic in those words. Just like wizards cast magic.

Burghart felt a sharp pain in his head and began to scream wildly. The vines had let him go, but Burghart was screaming and rolling on the ground holding his head. Blood dripped from his eyes and ears, his skin turning dry and white without a shred of blood.

The dragon was staring at Burghart as if absolving something of his. The dragon was getting a little more tangible while Burghart was getting drier and drier.

As Burghart was about to die, the dragon looked toward the horizon. The dragon flapped its wings and flew. Disappearing in the forest.

A few minutes later, 10 wizards appeared flying on their brooms.

"Look, boss, there are signs of a fight," said a thin wizard.

"Yes, I see. I knew my intuition was correct, something bad might have happened to Burghart." Said the guy with the eye patch.

Burghart was lying on his back and breathing hard and didn't know what was going on around him. He could hear his friends nearby, but he had no strength to call them.

The dragon sucked in his life force and part of his memory. But during the process, Burghart also saw the dragon's memory. Burghart knew what this dragon was and needed to tell his friends. They need to kill the dragon before it can regain strength, otherwise, no one could kill it.

Burghart knew he had little time, but he needed to tell what he saw.

The Wizards will find Burghart on the ground and approach. Burghart's conditions were terrible and everyone knew it.

But the guy with the eye patch saw Burghart struggling to say something. Probably the name of the wizard who did this to him.

Shaking his hands tightly, the guy with the eye patch put his ear close to Burghart's mouth.

Burghart had a lot to say, but could only speak a single word and fell into a coma.

The slap-faced guy stood up. Looking around, he asked his companions.

"Any clues to the bastard who did this to Burghart?"

"No clue, boss, we've tested all spells to track, but all spells show nothing."

"How is this possible!"

"I don't know, boss, maybe it's a powerful wizard. "

The eye patch guy bent down next to Burghart and examined him.

"What a cruel curse. It sucked his life force, leaving almost nothing. "

"Boss, I've never seen that kind of spell. Will Burghart be all right? "

"We will heal his body, but it will depend on Burghart whether he will wake up. "

All the shrouded wizards shook hands tightly. Swearing in their hearts that they would avenge their friend.

"Now we only have one clue, the name Burghart said" the guy with the eye patch spoke with a serious face.

"Boss, what's the name?" The wizards asked around.

The guy with the eye patch got up. Looking at his companions, he answered slowly.

"Alduin!"
