69 Chapter 69 - The Duelling Thoughts

After Dumbledore came in and Minerva prepared coffee for him, Minerva started talking about her thoughts on the matter of Felix.

Dumbledore listened to her concerns with a calm expression and then reassured her that he had been keeping a close eye on Felix. He reminds her that they must remain patient and vigilant but also extend trust and kindness to Felix until they have reason to believe otherwise.

Mcgonagall nods in agreement but still seems uneasy about the situation. Dumbledore places a hand on her shoulder and assures her that they will do everything in their power to ensure the safety and well-being of everyone at Hogwarts.

With a nod of understanding, McGonagall thanks Dumbledore and bids him farewell. As he leaves, she can't help but continue to worry about Felix and the mystery surrounding him.

Felix walked into the Forbidden Forest, the trees towering above him as he made his way through the dense underbrush. The forest was alive with the sounds of rustling leaves and animal cries, but Felix was focused on his task.

He had a wand in his hand and was practicing the spells he had learned from the Harry Potter books. He started with the basics, casting Lumos to light up the darkness. The tip of his wand glowed brightly as he chanted the incantation.

Next, he tried Expelliarmus, imagining himself in a duel with an opponent. He flicked his wand with a sharp movement, and a burst of light shot out, hitting a nearby tree. Felix grinned, pleased with his progress.

He moved on to more advanced spells, casting Stupefy and Expecto Patronum with ease. As he practiced, he felt a sense of calm and focus wash over him. He was in his element, and nothing else mattered.

The creatures of the forbidden forest watched him curiously, but Felix paid them no mind. He was too engrossed in his training.

As the sun began to set, Felix decided to call it a day. He made his way back through the forest, his wand still in hand. He felt a sense of accomplishment, knowing that he was improving his magic skills.

"I see that last month's meditation increased my casting time and reaction time too much."

"Considering all the things, I have improved quite a bit."

"Now, from what I see, my problems and needs lie in the fact that I need more of a dueling experience. Against monsters and creatures, I should have no problem."

"But when encountering a master duelist, there are many things that I still don't know."

"I need to learn more and practice more."

Felix pondered for a moment who could possibly help him practice his dueling skills. He thought about approaching Professor Flitwick, but he knew that a real battle was what he needed to truly improve. Suddenly, an idea struck him, and he remembered a fellow student he had met during his time at Hogwarts.

"Rowan was his name; I know him and he knows me. When the school starts, it would be best for me to ask him to help me practice duelling."

Felix knew that Rowan was a good duelist, maybe the only one who could fight against himself on equal grounds other than teachers themselves. It is only natural for him to choose him as his training partner.

"I am sure he will agree with me to train as there is."
