79 Chapter 79: Recommendation

Edwin waited for Ivan to start the next part of the animagus transformation as usual Ivan appeared in the cabinet and alerted Edwin of his presence by knocking and asking if he was decent when Ivan exited the cabinet he looked unusually happy as if something great had happened.

"Are you doing okay?" Edwin asked with a concerning tone as Ivan kept smiling.

"Nothing could be better… come on follow we have to go under the moonlight again" Ivan replied as he walked into the cabinet and soon Edwin followed then they headed to the roof to begin the second part.

When under the moonlight Ivan was preparing the potion necessary for the animagus transformation as he was adding the ingredients in Edwin decided to take the opurnity to ask him" can you sign this for me"

"Is that the Triwizard tournament form? "Ivan asked looking at the form.

"Yes, it is can you convince mum to sign it for me…please "Edwin asked as he planned to beg if he has to.

"Sure I already convinced Wendy "Ivan replied with a thumbs up "you just have to get your recommendation to have the chance to enter"

Edwin was left dumbfounded as he was already prepared to beg "How did you know?"

"put the mandrake leaf in the potion" Ivan stated as he gave Edwin the potion, "Severus told us all about your request to Dumbledore and that's when I started to convince your mother… I also lend him some of your books"

Edwin was glad that he didn't have to wait for his mother to agree but was now wondering what else Snape told Ivan.

The second part of the animagus is rather easy you would just need to take the mandrake leaf you kept in your mouth for one month and add it to a potion under the moonlight the only difficult part is getting the ingredient which Ivan didn't seem to have any trouble getting.

The next morning Edwin received the approval letter signature from Snow and now the only thing he would need is the recommendations Edwin wanted to see if he would get Moody's first since it is required.

On the way to Moody's office Edwin saw some students leaving the room with an angry expression on their faces" what does he mean we won't survive I'm a fifth-year" A Gryffindor boy complained as he walked down the corridor.

The door to Moody's office was open, Moody office is rather large and had several bookcases and a lot of papers on his desk which was accompanied by a Sneakoscope Edwin prepared himself before knocking at the door Moody who was looking straight at the door with no doubt his wand out "Isn't Edwin Vaclav the student what brings you here"

"Professor Moody I'm hoping to get the Triwizard tournament recommendation "Edwin stated getting straight to the point.

"You and a whole bunch of students, "Moody said as he got up limping from his desk, "Dumbledore said it's my decision to give the recommendation out to whoever I want… why should I give you one "

"Well Professor Moody I'm cap- "Edwin tried to say but was interrupted when Professor Moody cast a spell out loud which gave Edwin enough time to react and deflect it as Edwin was half expecting an attack.

"If you want this recommendation your gotta prove you can survive "Moody shout as he started to cast spells at Edwin.

Edwin didn't know if he would get in trouble for destroying Moody's office but he didn't care Edwin used every trick Snape taught in the start as he sending out spell after deflecting one of Moody's own When the test started Edwin was on the losing end due to Moody's experience but he didn't give up.

The office is filled with flashing light as the test continue and Moody's paperwork is scattered all around, Edwin was still being pushed back as he couldn't keep up with the sear speed of Moody weak curses but he found a way out as he was deflecting the Spells he used wandless magic to throw the books from the bookcase at Moody to buy time.

As the books hit Moody Edwin ran out of his office and created quicksand by the door and set other taps for Moody when he exited but Moody didn't leave right away which made Edwin curious but he didn't dare look.

Moody then walked out of his office with a paper in his hand "Hold your fire you pass" Moody said as he turned the quicksand back to stone" smart choice running and setting traps"

"Thanks, Professor Moody, "Edwin said as he collected the recommendation and head to Snape's office, Snape was there one again reading and Edwin didn't get a chance to ask for the recommendation as Snape pointed out "it's on the chair "

After Edwin received the recommendation he went to Professor McGonagall office to ask for her recommendation but as he enters the door she stopped him" Mr. Vaclav are you here for a recommendation or something else "

"Recommendation Professor "Edwin quickly replied

"I keep telling students I will not be giving any recommendation for any reason "Professor McGonagall stated before she went back to looking at student's work.

Edwin was at lost who to ask next but then he remembers someone that he hasn't visited in a while Hagrid the care for magical creatures Professor Edwin arrived at the cabin and hear Hagrid Humming "Hagrid "Edwin shouted out.

Hagrid opened the door and pushed his head through "oh Edwin sorry I wasn't' expecting anyone yer see so can ya come back later "

"Hagrid I need a recommendation for the Triwizard tournament "Edwin quickly shouted before Hagrid could close the door.

"Oh no, I'm not gonna give out any ya see… Professor Flitwick should be givin out "

"What if I help you with whatever you're doing "Edwin know that Hagrid was doing something.

"um come right in," Hagrid said as he opened the door" I might be in over ma head with this "

When Edwin entered the hut it was clean but Hagrid had robes all over the ground "What's going on Hagrid "

" yer see there is um a person I know and she's uh there coming and I wan to yer know impress them ' Hagrid said as looked at Edwin.

The only person that Edwin could think of that Hagrid would want to impress is the headteacher of Beauxbatons Madam Maxime "Okay you asked the right guy "Edwin replied with a smile.

"First you need some new robes "Edwin stated looking at Hagrid old robes.

"Okay got that" Hagrid replied.

"about the money I hear that there is a group of Acromantula in the forest maybe you could sell some venom, "Edwin said giving Hagrid an easy of making money, Hagrid was slightly surprised at what Edwin said but for once Hagrid didn't jump in and say anything.

"the next thing is your hair, "Edwin said looking at Hagrid "Love your beard but get Hermione to comb or plat your hair "

"Now the most important thing for you to do is be yourself, "Edwin said looking Hagrid, Edwin gave Hagrid a few tips before leaving with the recommendation.

The last person Edwin had to get a recommendation from is Dumbledore, Edwin made his way to Dumbledore office which was open so student could get the recommendation.

When Edwin entered Dumbledore's office he saw Dumbledore eating sweets "Taffy, "Dumbledore said offering Edwin some Taffy.

"No thank you, "Edwin said kindly rejecting his offer "Headmaster I'm here about the recommendation "

"I see you got pass Professor Moody "Dumbledore stated as he took Edwin form and recommendations.

"This will allow you to enter your name, "Dumbledore said giving Edwin a pass "But I must insist that do not enter as it will be extremely dangerous "

"I understand Headmaster but I can't help to try as I don't know if I'll ever get another chance "Edwin stated."
