Chapter 46: Sorting ceremony and First day back

With Remus casting the Patronus Charm to chase away the Dementors that was on the Hogwarts Express, students of all ages gather around Remus's cabin to see what had caused the bright light that scared away the reaper like creatures.

As the Students created a crowd in front of cabin most could barely see what was going on inside of the Cabin but someone from the first group who had to enter the cabin said " That's Harry Potter why is he on the floor " the fact that Harry was on the floor spread through the crowd " why is he on the floor ?" Someone ask but before the question could answer Remus chased those who were in the cabin out and quickly shut the door.

The news quickly spread through the train, But from Harry was on the floor turned to Harry got too scared and pass out when the news met Edwin's cabin a smile grew on Draco face " I can't believe he actually fainted just from seeing a Dementor... that wuss "

As the train pulled up to Hogwarts Hagrid was shouting gathering all the first year and putting them into boats Hagrid looked happier than usual and could sense of joy in his voice Edwin took the Thestral carriage to the castle, everyone waited at the grand hall to await the new students.

The new students came out of the door that leads through the dungeon there is a student that was soaked and was waving at the Gryffindor table and Collin a second year was waving back at the boy no doubt that they were related as the bare a similar resemblance.

Professor McGonagall who brought out the sorting hat saw that the boy was soaked and used magic to dry him, With a few cough, the Sorting hat started to sing.

" You may think it's weird, for a Hat to talk

But if I did not who would sort the lot

You may be brave a Gryffindor those who do not know fear

or a Smart Ravenclaw who's wits can carry them far

maybe a Hardworking Hufflepuff who's determination is second to none

you may even be a cunning Slytherin who uses their means to be the best the very best

the best indeed

Student old and new may come and go

but Hogwarts will always be a home for you

With the Sorting Hat's song finish the sorting ceremony began the new students put the Sorting hat on and enter their new houses when a house name was called for a student the student at the house table would shout and cheer for their new member, Astoria was sorted into Slytherin Daphne and Draco looked happy that she would be in Slytherin.

As the sorting ceremony finish Dumbledore stood up and everyone looked at him " we have a new D.A.D.A teacher Remus Lupin and You may have seen Dementors on your way here but do not worry they were sent by the ministry of magic to protect the School " Dumbledore took a short breath before continuing " Even though they have been sent by the ministry I would advise you to stay away from them... let the feast began "

Food started to appear on the Banquette tables students and teacher alike started eating, most took this opportunity to catch up with their friends and Edwin was no different even though they had seen each other before they still had a lot to talk about from what they did after they met to what new subjects they signed up for, Edwin mentioned that his uncle was getting married.

" it's Too bad you can't go, " Draco said

" Why can't I go," Edwin asked

" It will be keeping out of the school right then how could you go " Draco stated

" Draco Hogwarts not a prison you can leave with parents permission " Theodore smirked

" Yeah my mom already wrote to Dumbledore and I got permission to go, " Edwin said " I have some invitation here," Edwin said reaching for the wedding invitation in his robes to give his Friends

" I can't go," Theodore said

" Edwin I would love to go but I can't " Isabella said

" None of us can go " Daphne stated

" The twins could " Draco added

Edwin had expedited that none of his friends could attend but he had stilled asked, the feast finished and the prefect got up to lead everyone to the dungeon as Edwin was passing the high table he noticed that Snape had cut his hair he now looked like Alan Rickman from when he played die Hard but without the beard, he was no longer a greasy git but just a git.

Entering his room Edwin packed his clothes and went back home through the Vanishing cabinet to closet his books as he didn't pack them in his trunk.

The next day during breakfast when the new time table was being handed out Edwin looked at his time table to notice that some of hissubjectst were at the same time with other he has Edwin was at lost with how he could attend all the subject that he had chosen without a time turner.

Theodore and the other looked at Edwin time table and was confused with how he could attend all of his classes as they were arguing how to make it work " you could skip divination some time to catch up with the other classes ... it's not really important " Theodore said

" and you got us to help you " Isabella

A perfect from Slytherin came over to Edwin and said " Professor Snape wants to see you in his office now "

Edwin left to Snape office when he arrived Snape was eating his breakfast " Sit down "

" Professor what did you call me here for and I see you cut your hair," Edwin said with a smirk

" Yes... you have taken too many subject some are happening at the same time as other," Snape said " you may have to drop some or work harder to keep up "

" the subject I chose I want to learn.. " Edwin said " I'll get help to keep up with the work "

" you may receive some help but you won't be able to learn first hand, " Snape said taking out a chain with a clock in the center " this is a time turner it can allow you to travel up to three hours in the past "

" with the amount of subject you have chosen you lack the time to attend them all " Snape said " but with this, you can attend them all I vouched for you to receive this time turner do not let me down " Snape hissed

" There are rules for you to follow the one you must never tell anyone else about the time turner two you can only go back three hours and you should never see your past self do you understand "
