3 3 - Hogwarts

--- 4 Years Later ---

An 11 year old boy with lightly tanned skin, raven-black hair and glowing green eyes along with a lightning bolt on his forehead was standing in front of a brick wall with nothing but a cat in his hands.

The boy walked towards the wall and unlike what you'd expect, he walked straight through it.

On the other side of the wall, there were large amounts of people walking around, saying goodbye to their families and running around, laughing, crying.

The boy, Harry, just walked up towards the bright red train with no emotion on his face and walked into a random compartment.

Sitting down, he sighed and absentmindedly stroked Bolt who purred and slept on his lap.

Opening his trunk and summoning a random book he had recently bought wandlessly, he opened it and started to read. It was a muggle fantasy book called "The Temple of Larkred".

'I wonder, do they even know I left? Do they even remember me? Meh, this country has annoyed me already, these books are ridiculous. We learn nothing, the summoning charm is taught in 3rd year, I learned it wandlessly by the time I was 6 goddammit.'

'If I wasn't forced to come here because of that magical contract I never would've come here, the rest of the world is so much better, I wonder if Gramps is gonna send me that Advanced Runes book, he always forgets stuff like that.'

My thoughts were interrupted by somebody opening my compartment door, and a chubby boy with red/brown hair, brown eyes and glasses swaggered in, he said "Can I sit here?" But didn't bother to hear my opinion before plopping himself in the seat opposite me.

'Are you kidding me? Of all the people who could come in here, it's him? I've seen him for 5 seconds and I already hate him.'

I was wearing a large black hoodie so the boy, Jack, couldn't see my face apart from my mouth, but Jack continued whatever he was doing, oblivious to my internal rant.

"I'm Jack Potter, The Boy-Who-Lived!" the boy proclaimed as if he just said he'd saved the world because of his own kindness.

"Do you want an autograph?" He continued on.

"No"

"What do you mean no, don't you know who I am?.."

The boy couldn't continue further because another person opened the compartment door and a red-haired boy said, "excuse me can I sit here, everywhere else is full."

"You can literally add compartments onto the train magically, and there's no way the whole train is full yet."

The boy ignored me and sat next to me while staring at Jack.

"Are you really The-Boy-Who-lived?"

"Yep" the boy said puffing out his chest and raising his head

"Wicked! do you remember anything from that night?"

"Yea, I remember kicking You-Know-Who's butt!"

"Woah!"

.. And that was my cue to leave, 'I've had enough bullshit for one year already, were they dropped on their heads as children?'

I stood up holding 'Bolt' comfortably in my arms, and walked out, ignoring the "Hey, where are you going?!" from the brat.

Finding another empty compartment, I put the 3 strongest locking charms I knew and continued reading with Bolt on my lap.

After the first incident, nothing big happened on the train other than some bossy bitch asking if i'd seen a toad then shouting at me that locking the compartment is against the rules, all I had to do was add a few silencing charms and that problem was dealt with shortly.

By the time the train had stopped, I was bored, annoyed, wearing some robes and a pointy wizards hat, and ready to get off this damn train.

Leaving the train, I followed the ridiculously huge black haired black-bearded man who was shouting something about first years and found myself in front of some rather flimsy looking boats.

"Four to a boat, come on, four to a boat!"

I got a few stares and points due to my awesome wizard hat that was a little bit bigger than necessary, I swear when I saw that hat for the uniform that didn't even have a brim I decided there was no way in hell i'm wearing one of those.

If there's one thing fun about Britain, it's the robes and wizard hat, and I'll be damned if they ruin that too, though I did get robes that were lighter and more suited to combat, I kept tripping in the normal ones, something that could easily get me killed.

Moving across the lake in a boat that had 3 random people who I didn't bother to learn their names, we reached the castle that was actually more impressive than I thought it would be, it was full of magical energy and was a lot bigger than my imagination thought it would be.

An annoying looking woman came out of the doors, wearing a hat that, while better than the common rabble, was terrible in front of my amazing hat.

She said something about houses being family and points or whatever, basically, if I get caught attacking somebody, those points go down.

She lead us into a room and told us to tidy up, with distant voices behind a large set of doors which i'm assuming is the Great Hall mentioned in that Hogwarts book I read.

Walking into the hall was a little overwhelming considering we were the centre of attention and I hadn't been the centre of attention in a crowd since... ever, but I took it in stride.

The students were called out and forced to wear a ridiculous looking hat that started shouting out what I can only assume were British curse words.. or The Hogwarts Houses, you know it's sometimes hard to tell and i'm the Heir of one of them..

"Jake Potter!"

The little brat swaggered up to the hat and after a few seconds it called out "Gryffindor!"

'That kids not brave, he just isn't smart enough to register when he's in a dangerous situation, It's obvious'

"Harry Lightbolt!"

Sighing, I took off my hat and walked up to that mangy old 'Sorting Hat'

I pulled out my wand and cast every cleaning spell I knew which was a surprising amount on the hat making it look brand new.

"What are you doing, Mr Lightbolt?" Said the annoying looking woman

"Do you have any idea how many students wear this hat a year? It could have lice for all I know."

I suddenly heard a gasp from behind me, turning around I saw a red-headed woman who looked like she just saw a ghost, and that old fucker is staring at me really creepily too..

It seems they recognised me.. sigh.

"Harry.." She said quietly enough for the whole hall not to hear her but the people around her definitely did.

I just ignored her and put the now clean hat on top of my head.

"Aha, what have we here!"

"Ahh, can you not shout in my head!?"

"Thank you for cleaning me, it seems nobody else thought about doing it Mr Lightbolt.. or should we say, 'Mr Potter'.."

'I'm not a Potter' I growled to the shitty hat.

"Alright, no need to get defensive, let's see, you have very impressive shields, Mr Lightbolt, but not enough to keep me out, let's see, plenty of courage, would be a great addition to Gryffindor, very loyal to the few people worth your loyalty but not something you value, it's something that you think is expected of family, very knowledgeable and always had a strong thirst for knowledge, you'd be a perfect Ravenclaw, oh but what's this? You're very ambitious and cunning, Lord Slytherin, you'd do perfectly in Slytherin, it seems the choice is up to you, Mr Lightbolt."

"Oh? It's my choice? Then put me in.. Slytherin." I said, loud enough for the teachers and a few students to hear me.

"Very well, better be.. Slytherin!"

There were polite claps and a few whispers around as I made my towards a random seat where a few other Slytherin first years were, I suppose it's somewhat rare to be able to just straight up choose my house.

I suddenly felt a tingle in my mind, 'Oh?'

I didn't block them out but first looked around until I saw the Headmaster staring at me, I thought to myself 'Oh, so the old fucker's trying to read my mind is he, too bad.' I then slammed my shields down forcing him out of my mind, at the teachers table I saw the Headmaster looking as if he was in a bit of pain and he looked pale but he hid it shortly after.

'Who the hell does he think he is, bastard thinks he can read my mind?! If he does that again i'm gonna get really angry.'

I saw him exchange a look with the red-headed woman called 'Lily' and they both looked concerned.. for different reasons i'm sure.
