Synopsis

The nations of the realm have adapted to harness the powers of light. Initially this brought about unity in the wake of perilous shadow beast attacks from the Roots, however, amongst this calamity greed has become rife and division commonplace. Will a child from Grastella really have what it takes to restore the cohesion of old and reform the capital of Luxion?

Chapter 1Clarity and World Building

The story is set in the Prime Realm, a land fragmented by greed and the ferocious attacks of shadow beasts. The shadow beasts are creature emerging from the 'Roots'- a towering withered forest that surrounds all nations.

The Realm is split into 6 nations, each of which representing a different colour in the light spectrum which can be manipulated by the 'refractors' born there.

The respective refractors of each nation are ranked on the following system-

'Novice'- The weakest of refractors who can scarcely summon the light, with very limited manipulations

'Adept'-Those who have advanced to summon larger volumes of light, interacting with basic manipulations

'Elite'-Those who can comfortably summon large volumes of light, manipulating it with finesse and ease

'Master'-The rare few who can summon the greatest volumes of light, harnessing their respective colour to the utmost and drawing out its full potential
