3 Graduation Day Harlequin's POV Five Years Later

As I received my award with smiles, I couldn't help but be grateful. Here I am,a graduate of Harvard and a potential businesswoman. Dimitri flashed a smile as I went back to my sit. "Best student in your department, wow! It's not easy,I salute you." He said playfully and I laughed.

"This is all thanks to you. Five years ago,you were there for me,you never gave up on me even when I had given up on myself. If not for you, maybe I would have been dead by now or lost. So it's all you." I appreciated and gave him a hug.

"It was nothing." He said while I was still in his arms.

Well known managers of different, successful companies soon crowded me,congratulating me and giving me their business cards in case I needed their assistance or a job. Dimitri didn't seem happy.

I excused myself from them and went to where stood so I could tease him. "Someone doesn't look very happy, should I take it as jealousy or overprotection." I said.

"Of course I'm jealous, only I have the right to your attention." He squirmed making me giggle a little.

"OK Dad." I said and ran knowing he would chase me. It didn't take long before I was caught, the place was a big crowded so of course it was easy.

"Don't ever call me that again, OK?" He demanded, his arms around my waist. "Yes,but please let go of me now. We're in public and it's quite embarrassing." I said and he let go of me.

"You should prepare yourself, we have a long flight, immediately after this ceremony, we're leaving." Dimitri told me.

"Oh no!. I'll miss all my friends and Rocky." I said with a look of sadness.

Dimitri's POV

"Oh no! I'll miss all my friends and Rocky." She said with a sad face and I couldn't help but wonder who this Rocky was.

"Who's Rocky?" I asked hoping he would be just a friend. "He's my boyfriend, well ex-boyfriend now considering we might never see each other again and he's moving to London." She said still in a sober reflection.

What! How come she had a boyfriend and I never knew about it. "Why didn't want you tell me?" I asked visibly angry.

"Cause I know you'll react like this plus I didn't see the need to tell,it's about my personal life so telling you would feel awkward and I reasoned you had better things going on." She said a slight look of guilt on her face.

Of course she doesn't know, she doesn't know it hurts me deeply to hear this from her. It hurts because I've grown to love her very much.

Sure everyone knew she was very beautiful when she was younger but now, she's completely gorgeous,in fact she's a queen and If there were a bigger word for beautiful I'd say it,all her sexy curves were apparent and it was difficult not to notice her.

I haven't looked at any woman and have been celibate for five years because of her. I really love her alot and over the years, I've come to realize that.

They say absence makes the heart grow fonder and as I got to see her only a few times due to the distance, I realized my love for her and I thought she felt the same but no,she didn't.

Of course it's true, out of sight, out of mind. Why would she even think that way of me anyway, I'm much older than her and she must only see me as a father figure.

At least now I know there's no future for us and there'll never be unless a miracle happens and sadly I don't believe in miracles.
