As the goblins turned, the elven archers released a flurry of arrows. In the blink of an eye, three of the goblins were struck down, collapsing to the forest floor.

Ego seized the opportunity and dashed toward Lysandra. With his sword in hand, he confronted the goblins who were left disoriented by the diversion. Despite the strange mix of races on this battlefield, Ego felt an overwhelming need to protect Lysandra.

One by one, the remaining goblins fell under Ego's fierce determination and the elves' precise archery. The battle was swift, but not without its tense moments. Ego's heart raced with every swing of his sword, every dodge, and every blow.

Finally, they emerged victorious, with the forest regaining its calm and serenity. Ego rushed to Lysandra's side, cradling her carefully. She stirred, her eyes fluttering open, and she gazed at Ego with a mix of surprise and gratitude.

"Thank you," she whispered, and Ego couldn't help but smile.

"Don't worry it's alright now, I've got you," Ego added. "I'm also sorry for what I did earlier, I don't know what got into me."

Ego's relief at successfully rescuing Lysandra was palpable. He gently cradled her in his arms and apologized for his earlier indiscretions. Lysandra began to reassure him, her words filled with understanding, but her sentence was abruptly cut short.

"Ego watch out!!" Lysandra tried to warn Ego.

Pain surged through him, and he crumpled to the forest floor. Blood trickled from a gash on his forehead, his vision clouded by the blurriness that descended.

Despite the haze, Ego discerned a looming, green giant figure dragging Lysandra along the ground. Panic gripped him, but his body refused to obey. The elves who had accompanied him were not faring any better, desperately fleeing from similar enormous green beings, the looming threat sending them into a frenzy.

"Lysandra! Leave her alone."

Ego fought to regain control over his body, to reach Lysandra, to protect her. But the overwhelming force that had struck him seemed to have sapped his strength.

Struggling to turn his head, he looked up at the ominous figure that had attacked them. It was a hobgoblin, larger than any he had ever seen, its eyes filled with malice. The realization hit him like a ton of bricks—hobgoblins were dangerous, but this one was on another level entirely.

"Hobgoblins? What the..." Ego managed to mutter, but his words trailed off into weakness as he saw the hobgoblin raise its massive hand once more.

The blow landed with a sickening thud, and Ego lost consciousness. The last thing he registered was the agony that coursed through his body before darkness overtook him.

The world around him faded into oblivion, and Ego was left with unanswered questions, and the ominous presence of the hobgoblin haunted his thoughts even in unconsciousness.

As Ego slowly regained consciousness, a cold splash of water on his face jolted him further awake. He blinked his eyes open, trying to make sense of his surroundings. He found himself in a dimly lit, cave-like environment. His hands were bound to a stick above his head.

Before him, four goblins stood, their emerald skin contrasting with their captivating beauty. It was a strange paradox—these goblins, though unmistakably members of the same race that had kidnapped Lysandra, were undeniably stunning. Their eyes sparkled with mischief, and their lips formed wry smiles that sent shivers down Ego's spine.

Each goblin had its unique allure, though their similarities were striking. Their skin, a vibrant green, seemed to shimmer softly in the dim light of the cave. Their eyes, like polished emeralds, glittered with an enchanting allure, drawing Ego's gaze involuntarily.

Ego swallowed hard, struggling against the predicament he found himself in. Fear and curiosity warred within him as he searched for any possible escape route.

"What is this? Why do these goblins looks so stunning and seductive? But that aside, I need to find a way out of here," Ego thought.

Just then, his system screen appeared in front of him displaying some characters.

[If you haven't noticed you are tied up and Lysandra is nowhere to be found]

"Haha! That's very funny of you, aren't you supposed to be helping in such situations?"

[Sure! Sure! I always have to help, but I can't make a little joke. PS, I wasn't the one who asked you to be the the hero and go rescue your little heroine, so you dare not give me that attitude]

"Alright I'm sorry, I know I messed up big time but will you help me find a way out of here, please!!" Ego replied.

"And what's the bad news?"
