Male Mage

Anubis quickly pulled his hand away from the crystal ball.

"Uh , there most be some mistake with the crystal ball."

He said nervously.

Every other students also eagerly nodded their head.

Cause even now they couldn't believe that this weirdo looking guy could be the male mage.

Priestess Letitia giggled.

"Then, let's do it again. Put your hands again in the crystal ball."

Anubis forwarded his hand nervously.

His hands were shaking.

Everyone had their eyes on his hand.

He could feel everyone hot glare.

He finally placed it on the crystal ball and it lit up again. Same bright red with hint of gold and black.

Everyone jaw dropped. They kept staring at Anubis.

Anubis quickly retreated his hand.

Priestess Letitia folded her arms and said,

"Well, you proved it. Your the new male mage we have been searching for. I shall retreat now and inform the other council members. And , what's your name?"

"Anubis Artino."

"Anubis, you shall pack your belongings. Because you will be transferred to 'Starlight Academy' to learn magic. Well done, my job here is done. I will be leaving then. Thank you everyone. Thank you Headmaster MacArthur."

Saying this, priestess Letitia walked out of the hall.

Anubis who was frozen on his place not believing what just happened was glomped by Lucas.

"You sneaky brat. Who would have thought you would be the male mage."

Lucas said grinning.

Anubis looked at his friend and shakingly pointed himself.

"Me? Really? Are you sure it isn't dream?"

Anubis asked believing that he was in his dream.

Lucas pinched him hard in his waist.

"Ouch, what was that for?"

Lucas stopped and looked at Anubis face.

"It hurt right. So it isn't your dream. But reality."

Anubis kneeled on the ground.

"Hey hey, you are overreacting now. Be happy. Mann, how I wished I was the male mage."

Lucas said helping Anubis get up of the floor.

"Mhmm. I have to go pack up."

"I will help you. Let's goo!!"

Both Anubis and Lucas walked toward their dorm room.

All other students started to disperse from the assembly hall while whispering to each other about today's event.

"Headmaster"

One of the teacher called out.

Headmaster MacArthur just nodded and said,

"Now now there is finally a male mage, I bet that the land of Arcipilia will be quite a chaos. It will be more interesting to watch, don't you guys think so?"

Other teacher slowly nodded their head.

Then, they all walked out of the assembly hall.

Anubis and Lucas were walking through the corridors to their dorm. Every students started pointing at them and whispered to each other.

"Have you heard our school has the one and only male mage?"

"Really? Do you know who it is?"

"I heard it's the weirdo from red class 7. Look he is there."

"Tsk, god really favors losers."

"Shh, he has magic power he can end us anything. He is no more the loser we can provoke ok? He will be backed by the council as well."

"Yeah, I guess you are right. It sucks we can't have magic power. Yet he does. Why only him? I don't understand."

The other guy sighed.

"Well, it's not our fate. He was the chosen one and we aren't. We can't compare ourselves with the blessed one. Let's just focus on our body cultivation."

" I guess you are right."

Anubis and Lucas arrived in their from. They quickly went in and locked the door.

Lucas sprawled in the ground looking like he lost his soul.

"Phew~ that was terrifying. Everyone was looking , pointing and whispering about us. I thought their gazes could make a hole in my back."

Anubis laughed at his pathetic state.

"What an idiotic."

"Hey, don't laugh you freak. I have never been center of attention and after experiencing what I did today, I don't even want to be the center of attention anymore. Just thinking about it makes me shiver."

Anubis just opened his shoes and jumped to his bed.

"Today was really a rollercoaster. Everything that happened today , I still am unable to digest it."

Anubis sighed deeply staring at the ceiling.

Lucas glanced at his friend and stood up then sat on the floor next to him.

"Hey man, don't be so negative. It will everything be alright. I know you will do well. Don't worry."

Lucas said flashing a thumbs up at him.

Anubis smirked at his idiotic behavior.

"I hope so."

Anubis smiled.
