7 Chapter #07: Damn Search Bar!

After the fight with Kale, and getting statements from the students that were in class, the school had finally decided to intervene. This ended up with Ijin getting a 1 week suspension, this worked out better for him because he had all the time in the world to get stronger and check out more things about "Hardcore Evolution."

His suspension began right away. They took him out of the classroom and had sent him home after completing all the proper paperwork.

While Ijin was in the office with the teacher, all the kids had the same two thoughts running through the heads now. "Ijin is a monster." "Why is a monster like him in out classroom." Ijin was being exiled from his classroom and he didn't even know it. One thing was for certain though. Ijin was now the Head of the classroom, with Kale being next.

Once Ijin had gotten home he checked the app. He saw that he had 9 left over stat points, instead of going with speed this time he decided to invest these points all in Luck. He thought that if he did this he still wouldn't need strength. Luck meant that he could theoretically break through his opponents guard, he could hit vital points easier. For some odd reason it was like Ijin was purposely avoiding the strength stat.

[Luck has increased by 9] [Luck: 11]

After putting his points into luck he had wondered over to his status to check his level, he already knew his stats so he just decided to hide them.

[Ijin Yu] [Level: 3]

He was happy with his levels he remembered the system telling him something about new benefits since he had leveled up he just forgot what they were. After checking out all of this Ijin headed to the skill tab so he could see the reward he had gotten for defeating Kale.

[New Skill] [Unbreakable Guard] [Passive] [A Rank]

[Once the user assumes a fighting stance and puts up a guard, the system will automatically block incoming attacks and reduce the damage by 3.2%]

Ijin thought this skill would definitely could in handy but there was one problem with this skill. He didn't really fight with any type of stances nor did he use guards. He would always dodge or try to take the hit head on, so using a stance or a guard to fight he thought this would be pretty weird.

Suddenly Ijin was given a quest, it was unusual because all the previous quest he had gotten where at school and they meant that he had to fight someone, and there was usually some type of trigger that made the quest activate, but this time it was random.

[Side Quest had Appeared] [Master all Martial arts within a week.] [23% chance of Success]

[Rewards: 1 A Rank Skill & 1 S Rank Skill, 4 Random Items, 2,900 EXP.]

After seeing the rewards, Ijin's mind began to go blank. Seeing what the actual quest was wasn't a problem, even though it said 23% Ijin thought that he could get this quest done easily since time had moved much slower in Caldera then it did on Earth.

Thinking about Caldera Ijin began to get curios about. So he used his search bar and searched up "Caldera." The system didn't tell him much about Caldera it only told him that Caldera existed a place very far from earth. It told him that he needed to purchase the information scroll from the shop which he could use once he hit level 5.

After seeing this Ijin didn't think to much on it and began his quest.

[Preparing to enter Caldera.]

Ijin had made it. After seeing the system say that Caldera was a place very far from earth his curiosity kept on growing, before starting his training to master all the martial arts he started to look around and see if he could recognize the place, he thought the system had to be playing some type of trick on him. He thought that maybe Caldera was a secret continent that the government had been hiding.

He was a big believer in these things. Conspiracy Theory's that is. He found them very interesting, not only that most of them made sense to him, it made more sense to him then the things he was being fed by the Government and Media. So he started to believe in Conspiracies more than anything.

He started to think that even if Caldera was a secret continent why would he recognize it if the government was hiding it. He pulled out his phone to check something. He started to type in the search bar. "Secret Continents." The system had told him the same thing as earlier, that he needed to by the information scroll to look at the truth about this.

"Damn is there anything that this damn search bar can tell me?!" Ijin said in frustration.

There was one reason was skeptical about Caldera being a actual place. No matter how far he had traveled in any direction he didn't see a single person in sight, he found this strange. Wouldn't even a strange place like Caldera have one person.

A week has passed and Ijin is exhausted.

[Quest Complete] [Rewards have been sent]

Ijin was very happy that he was able to complete the quest and he had gained many unexpected things. He grabbed his phone from the floor, and opened the app. He instantly went to his status to check his level.

[Ijin Yu] [Level: 7] [EXP: 0/3,210] [12 SP available]

After checking his stats he went to the skill tab to check the skills he had gotten.

[Skill: Black Out] [A Rank] & [Skill: Heavy Hitter] [A Rank]

[Black Out - If the user can land a very solid hit or a vital hit the opponent will automatically black out.]

[Heavy Hitter - The user increases there weight by 240 Ibs but they do not physically change. When this skill is used the user's attacks will be buffed by 20%, this skill only last for 20 seconds and can only be used 3 times a day.]

Ijin was interested in his skills but other than that he didn't care to invest his stats in anything right now. Neither did he care to look at his items at the moment, there was thing and one thing only that he cared about at the moment and that was the shop.
