5 Chapter #05: Ultra Instinct

Ijin had started gaining popularity because of the fight with him and Colton, he wasn't going to complain about the sudden increase in his popularity he just wasn't used to it. He was more worried about what would happen if he would have fought Blake the other day.

"Hey Ijin, you were probably busy yesterday so I won't say anything but you forget to text me yesterday." The girl from yesterday had said.

Since Ijin had never spoken to a girl he didn't know what to say, plus he wasn't even worried about texting her since he was in Caldera for most of the time yesterday anyway. So he just made up an excuse as to why he didn't call or text her.

"Yea, sorry Nya, I was just very tired yesterday so when I got home, I just ended up going straight to sleep." Ijin said nervously hoping that she would buy the lie.

She told him it was fine and walked off with her friends since the bell was going to ring soon.

Ijin himself had headed to class when he was stopped by Blake.

Blake was still wanted to fight Ijin but he couldn't because Kale had said so he had no choice but to leave Ijin along that day. So he waited outside of the classroom to get Ijin. Now of course Ijin had refused his offer and attempted to walk in the class, then Ijin felt a sharp pain in his back. Blake had hit him. Ijin began to follow Blake to the back of the school where the kids would go when it was time for gym.

Ijin had got a notification from his phone. He directed his attention towards the phone he had got a new quest.

[Rewards: 80 EXP, 1 Random Skill & 1 Item]

The notification was different from the first time a quest involving Blake had appeared, but that wasn't his biggest worry about this quest, it told him he had a 80% chance of beating Blake. Ijin thought there was some time of system error. Before he could think about anything else he had noticed that his head was slightly tilted.

He realized that his body was automatically dodging Blake's attacks while still maintaining his focus on the phone. Blake had thrown a barrage of attacks at Ijin but he managed to dodge all of them while still looking at the phone.

Ijin had put his phone away and begin rushing towards Blake. Ijin was surprised by his own speed and thought that he was much faster then from this morning. Blake himself was surprised by Ijin's sudden increase in speed. Blake had began throwing more attacks at Ijin but he missed all of them.

"Enhance Strength." Ijin said.

[Strength has now increased] [Strength 1(3)]

Blake now had starting feeling fear of Ijin but it wasn't as intense as the fear he has for Kale. Blake saw the fist coming but he could do nothing to evade so instead he did everything that he could to minimize the damage that came with the punch.

The punch had come in to fast but surprisingly the punch didn't really do much damage as he thought it would.

"What the hell he was able to withstand that?" Ijin said nervously. "Inspect"

Ijin had loads of thoughts running through his head, the main one he found himself coming back to every time was, "How the hell do I have a 80% chance of winning against this. He also wanted to know what Kale's stats were if Blake had stats like these and Blake was terrified of Kale.

Blake had charged in at Ijin, but the attacks were very slow compared to Ijin's. The people in class could see the fight between Ijin & Blake. Ijin caught a glimpse of just how many people were watching their battle, he didn't know how long they have been watching for.

"Doesn't it seem like Blake it being overwhelmed by Ijin guys?" Some of the students began to say to each other.

Ijin had an idea on how to win now, he didn't need to win with strength but rather with speed. Ijin begin throwing non stop punches & kicks he had learned from Kickboxing. Blake begin to feel cornered seeing that he couldn't evade any of the punches. There speed difference was too huge, Blake couldn't even land a hit on Ijin.

After a few minutes of fighting Blake had collapsed on to the ground after losing to much energy he had some major injuries but they weren't anything to threating. His case was very different from Colton who had serious threating Injuries and an unforgettable fear of Ijin.

Ijin instantly sat down on the stairs on his phone, he was waiting for Blake to wake up.

He had some stats left over from when he had reached Level Two, he just never got the time to use them but now he did. Ijin already knew that he was going to invest these points into Speed, speed seemed to be working out for him. He didn't need to up his Endurance because he wasn't going to be hit if his speed was high.

Before he invested his stats though he wanted to see what skill and item he had obtained.

"This is the power of an S Rank Item? I wonder if there are higher ranked items then just S Rank items. That would be cool, 15 points are sure to boost me up a lot. Let's check the skill though." Ijin said with a voice filled with joy.

"Holy shit! So there are other ranks that are higher than S, I haven't seen that in any of the video games I play. Why the hell would I get a skill like this for one measly quest." Ijin said.

He thought back to how the system had told him he would get one "Random" skill but he didn't think that the skill would be this powerful.

Ijin was still shaken up from the fight with Blake and to add onto of that he didn't know why but he felt nervous about this skill but it wasn't something that he could equip. It was a passive skill meaning it will always be there.

"I think I'll use the Item I got earlier on speed and after this I'll level up my Endurance, guess I'll become a speedy tank."

Ijin was satisficed with his stats and skills, he felt like he could take on Blake again but this time instead of being evenly matched, he believed if him and Blake were to ever do a rematch in the future, he would win every time in a matter of seconds.

They had attracted a large crowd, everyone was peering through the windows watching Ijin as he was just sitting there on his phone. The news had spread on how Ijin had defeated Colton and Blake, this further increased his popularity in the school. Even Kale started to keep an eye on Ijin due to his rapid progression through the Hierarchy system.

Ijin had reminded Kale of Shinji. Although the two never fought Kale already knew that Shinji would win if they did fight. They use to be good friends until Shinji became top dog of Hanlim High.
