Chapter #04: Shinji Komatsu

At a young age Shinji had lost his dad in a war, shortly after his mother had got ill. Although she survived, she was unable to take care of Shinji and he was forced to move with his grandparents. He was inactive in everything and he always kept getting beat up by other kids. His Grandpa started to notice him coming home with bruises everyday.

After noticing this his grandfather had contacted Shinji's uncle who used to serve in the military, he was a very high ranking combat officer. Shinji's uncle began teaching Shinji different fighting styles and put him through intensive training that he had to endure if he wanted to start defending himself in school.

These were fighting styles and skills that middle schoolers shouldn't even be allowed to know, let alone being taught these martial arts. They were used by special agents, not to mention these weren't for regular fighting. If you used these you went into a battle with the intent to kill your opponent, you also had to put your life on the live in the mist of battle to even be able to use these due to the fact that you are constantly fighting.

Shinji didn't have to worry about any of that though, most of the kids at his middle school didn't even know nor heard of any of these names. They were immature kids who only cared about making themself look good and gloating about their fighting capabilities.

After the lost of his father, Shinji had disconnected from a reality with others. He saw them as people he could use to reach his goals. Even his own grandparents didn't exist in this world. The only person that was able to break through to Shinji's world was his Uncle Sam. He didn't need other people with him. He saved a spot for his mother in this world but she never got to it.

Shinji felt alone, he wasn't close with his grandparents like his mother and father were. There was one reason he was there. Besides his Uncle & Auntie, his grandparents were the only living relatives he had. He couldn't stay with his Uncle & Auntie because they had their own things they needed to sort out.

After a few years of training with his Uncle, his world where he only existed begin to slowly fall apart. It had completely been dismantled after a few years and Shinji begin to recognize the existence of the other beings aside from him and his uncle.

He started to attend Hanlim High, it was and still is his first year here. Him being a first year he was naturally targeted by older kids who seemed much stronger than him but he just ignored them and the things they did.

Shinji begin fighting people within the school, after his first few fights he saw other people as tools he could use to release the emotions he had been hiding from all these years. He grew addicted to beating on other because he could release emotions he couldn't release at home or with his uncle. After a week or two, Shinji had beat almost all the kids who had ranked the highest in the school. He had complete control of the first and second years and most of the third years, although there was one person he hadn't fought yet.

That was, "Eiji Aoki" he was the leader and top dog of Hanlim High. Naturally everyone had wondered what would happen if Shinji and Eiji had fought, who would come out on top? Would Eiji remain the school's top dog or would Shinji take over Hanlim as a first year.

One morning Shinji had bumped into Eiji and this set him off because he was already in a bad mood. Eiji had heard a lot about Shinji due to him tearing through the hierarchy system in the school. So even had no choice but to acknowledge Shinji's strength. He didn't see him as much though.

Since he had the chance Eiji decided to start an altercation with Shinji because if not now, it was bound to happen sooner or later. Before they begin to fight there eyes had met and Eiji had felt inferior to someone for the first time in his life. This scared him. He hid his fear though, he didn't let anyone know he was scared.

Before the two knew it they had attracted a very large crowd of people who came to watch as the two strongest kids in the school were about to fight, they couldn't miss it.

The fight between Shinji & Eiji had lasted a few minutes at most. The fight was short but it left everyone standing in the crowd lucky enough to watch in awe. This wasn't a fight, it was a public execution, some had doubts and others had expectations for Shinji, he completely exceed those expectations and erased those doubts from people.

It was a one sided beating, no this couldn't be called a beating it was a one man massacre. Shinji had completely destroyed Eiji. Eiji was left on the ground with broken arms and fractured ribs and very other serious injuries. Shinji left with only a minor cut on his check, he was hardly touched during the fight with Eiji.

The news had spread fast to the other schools and they quickly began to realize Shinji's fighting capabilities. Some of the leaders had doubts about Shinji and others had the desire to face him in person one day. Although Eiji was a weak leader compared to the other school leaders, he was still very strong. For him to be completely overwhelmed in a short amount of time, Shinji had definitely gained the recognition from the other leaders. Not to mention Shinji was only 14 years old, he conquered Hanlim High in just two months as a First Year.

Even if everyone had doubts including the leaders, one thing was for sure that no one could deny no matter how much they wanted to.

Hanlim High had a new leader, and a new Top Dog.

That was "Shinji Komatsu."
