1 Chapter 1

Cataleya POV:

I wake up to my baby crying, I get up and head across the hall to see my baby girl sitting up crying. I give her a bottle while I head to her bathroom to run her some bath water. I then head back into her room to pick her out an outfit, I decided we were gone match today so, I picked her out some black leggings with a black baby doll shirt with pink and purple flowers. Once I had everything together, I then grabbed her out her crib and put her in her tub. Once she was done bathing, I put her on top of her changing table and lotion her body and put baby powder and a diaper on her. Once that was done, I then put on her clothes with her black flats and her pink headband. Once she was all dressed, I grabbed her and took her to my room so I can get ready, I put her on my bed with pillows around and turned on some cartoons and gave her pacifier.

I just got out the shower and seen my baby fast asleep. (chuckle) I sit at my make-up desk and started on my make-up. It took longer than I thought because my eyelashes wanted to act up today, so I knew I had to hurry before Camila (or Mia for short) wakes up. I just finished putting on my shirt when Mia decided to wake up. I picked her up and started kissing all over her making her giggle and grab my face. Give me one second bookie I say putting her back on the bed. I then rush back to my mirror and took my hair out of the bun and just decided to leave it down today. I turn around to see my baby just looking at me smiling. I smile back, what u smiling at little girl, I say tickling her.

I pick my baby girl up and we head downstairs to the kitchen. I put Mia in her highchair while I got started on breakfast. I fixed some eggs, pancakes, and bacon. I sit down next to my baby and fed her some of my eggs and pancakes. Once we were done eating, I washed my dishes and ran upstairs to grab my purse, phone, and keys. I ran back downstairs to see my baby just looking around. (chuckling) Come on silly girl, I pick her up and we head out the door. I locked the door then put Mia in her car seat. I get in the driver's seat and rolled down the windows, for some reason my baby loves the window down. I then got started on the drive to my best friend/ sister house. I pulled up in front of her house blowing the horn (she hates that shit) lol.

My best friend come out the house mean mugging me. (lol) Why u looking at me like that for? Bitch you know I hate when you be blowing like that u can call to let me know you outside hoe. But it is much fun to see your reaction when you come outside. I smack her in the back of the head. Bitch what was that for? My baby in the car stop cursing slut. Oh, my bad te-te baby it is your mama fault. Slut do you need to stop anywhere before we go to the shop? Yes, stop by Chick-fil-A I am hungry. We are pulling up to Chick-fil-A 10 mins later, hurry up we already late and grab me a sprite and a fruit punch for your niece/ god daughter. Ok, she says before running inside. She comes back 15 mins later, can you put that fruit punch in your niece sippy cup. Sure, once she is done and she puts on her seat belt we then head for the salon.

We are pulling up to the shop 30 mins later. My shop is really 20 mins away from my house but because we made a stop at Chick-fil-A we got stuck in traffic, thankfully though it was not too bad. I grab my baby car seat and unlock my shop. I put my baby in my station chair until her nanny comes and pick her up. I was getting my station ready for my first client when Mia nanny came to pick her up. I hugged and kissed my baby and told her to be good before giving her to her nanny. Once my baby was gone, I got back started on getting my station ready. I have over 20 heads to do today so I knew I was gone be in the shop late today. Just as I finished setting up my station my first client showed up. She wanted a sew in so I knew this would take about an hour and 30 mins, so I got to work.

I just finished with half of my clients when I decided to take a break. My next client was not until another hour so me and my best friend Imani went to get some food and come back to the shop to eat. As we were eating and talking, I heard knocking on the door. I got up to go see who it was . Yes, may I help you? Yes, I was trying to see if ya'll were hiring? No, we are not you must be new here? Yes, how did you know? Well no one ever come here to ask if we are hiring? But since you had balls to come and ask and you a newbie come in. So, tell me a little about yourself.

My name is Nyla Young I am 25 years old I just moved to L.A Friday. I do have my Cosmetology License and I can basically do any type of hair styles, but I love braiding. Ok, do you have any felonies. No, I have never been arrested before in my life. Ok, a good girl I see, so when can you start? I can start immediately if you want. Ok, this is your station you will have a 2-week probation. Once your 2-weeks is up you will then become part of the family. As I was talking to Nyla, Mulan came in looking depressed. Babe what is wrong with you hun? I broke up with Desmond cheating ass. Babe what have I always told you about niggaz? Expect the unexpected. Exactly, do you want to go flat his tires and bust the windows out his car I say singing the song. Lol no I feel much better thanks to your crazy ass. Well you know me but hey this is the newbie Nyla; Nyla this is Mulan the nail queen and Imani is in the back stuffing her face, but she is also a hair stylist.

We are one of the best hair salons in L.A so you came to the right place. In this salon we are family we protect each other and we don't fight in the shop if you have beef with someone here let me know and we'll take it outside and ya'll will fight one on one. Ok, I understand can I ask you something? Sure, wassupp hun. Do you know where any shelters are around here? Why do you need a shelter? Well I moved down here to get away from my ex and I am currently living in my car. Omg I am so sorry about that but like I told you we are family here you can come stay with me in one of my guest bedrooms until you get on your feet. Omg thank you so much.

What is going on in here, Imani came in being loud. Bestie this is the newbie Nyla. Welcome to the family bitch Imani say twerking. We all bust out laughing. Ok, everybody we about to open back up, Nyla go to your station get your station ready because if someone come in that do not have an appointment you will take them. Once she goes to her station Mulan head to her station and so does Imani. Once everybody is at their station, I unlock the door and not even 2 mins later people start coming in. A woman came in, Yes, may I help you? Yes, I want to get a sew in. Do you have an appointment? No, but I have a date tonight and I really need my hair done. Ok, hun calm down ok Nyla can take care of you ok hun. Thank you so much. No problem I say pointing towards Nyla.

Everybody is now cleaning up their station when the nanny brought in Mia. I pay the nanny and check take the blanket off my baby so I can see her, she always sleeping lol. You have a baby Nyla ask. Yes, this is my baby Mia she just turned 8 months last week. Once, everybody is done I grab Mia and put the blanket back over her since it is a little chilly still in February. Once I locked up the shop, I told Nyla to follow me, I was glad Imani was spending the weekend at my place because I was so tired. We pulled up into my driveway 25 mins later. I grabbed Mia and once we got in, I put Mia on the couch locked the house up and showed Nyla her room. Omg this is beautiful thank you so much, how much do I owe you for rent? Hey, you do not owe me anything just by you helping me at the salon is good enough. Thank you, Nyla says, hugging me. Get some sleep because on the weekend we do not work it is the girl's weekend and you will need all your energy to deal with us. Ok, goodnight. I go get Mia I take her a bath and I take a shower and we go to bed I just decided to let Mia sleep with me. Once my head hit the pillow I was out.
