Chased by a Dinosaur?!

"Escape!" the will screamed in his mind.

Nameless however couldn't even react before he vomitted blood as his internal organs were damaged from the pressure of the aura.

Seeing him unable to react, the immediately used the purple dao marks to envelop his body in a protective purple aura, protecting him and healing his injuries.

Nameless finally came to his senses, he rushed! rapidly escaping!

The purple dao marks increased the power and speed of his body by leaps and bounds.

Nameless jumped sliding in and out of the branches and roots that constituted the environment, using raptor corpses as footholds to escape at an insane speed.

As he was escaping his upper body shrank while his lower body expanded, his legs though maintained a human structure reshaped themselves into the form of powerful gazelle legs and hooves as he escaped.

Such a transformation helped him move through the massive tree roots and branches effortlessly!

The rush of adrenaline, his aerodynamic and powerful body as well the purple dao marks helped him escape and move with an insanely fast speed.

The massive branches and tree roots that filled the environment acted as perfect camouflage as well as the greatest protection against the powerful raptorian vulture.

The smaller the size, the more efficiently one could move in between the branches, roots and corpses.

As he moved, beast cores from the basket on his back began to fall but he couldn't care less!

Slightly far away, the raptor struggled to stand up as if it wasn't used to the size of its current body, it pushed and scratched the ground with both of its legs as if forcing itself to stand up but it still failed as it continued to grow bigger.

It grew bigger and bigger until it reached a moderate size, immediately moving its giant head sideways crashing into the surrounding roots on its sides, it didn't take long before it could finally keep its balance and stand up.

As it finally grew to its biggest size, it rose its head, bursting through the roots that surrounded the battlefield with its head.

It only took a few minutes before it turned from the size of an average beast to the size of a gigantic monster.

In front of it extended the giant tree root dome that filled its sight, it immediately moved!

The giant beast crashed into the tree roots carving a path forcefully carving a path through them before it lifted its head in rage.

ROOOAAAAARRRR!!!

A supersonic blast immediately radiated blasting the surrounding five kilometers of tree roots, branches and corpses into smithers!

Despite having escaped far away, the after-effects of this roar alone sent chills up his spine, waves of pain invaded his mind as his ears bled, forcing him to deactivate his sensory quills.

"FUCK!" Nameless hysterically focused on escaping even faster!

"Change your escape path!!"

"Why?!!"

"Avoid the area of the saber-toothed tigers, escape towards the raptorian corpses! The beast is still extremely weak, it needs to devour the corpses to regain some of its strength yet it can only consume its own specie's beast cores so it wouldn't dare to recklessly destroy all of them!"

Nameless moved changing his escape path, he moved rapidly, he had already created a very large distance with the beast.

Nameless had the confidence that he could escape, for the entire battlefield was entangled in giant roots, even some giant branches appeared from time to time making the path even narrower and harder to move through for a giant beast.

Nameless had no doubt that these obstacles would alteast heavily impede such a big beast from moving efficiently through it.

However at this moment!

ROOOAAAAARRRR!!!

A roar as powerful as a dinosaur echoed through the entire dome.

The Raptor then seemed to enter an almost frenzied state as it retreated through its path for a bit before it rushed forward at extremely high speed immediately crashing on the dome!

BOOOM!

All the branches and roots in its periphary were destroyed!

Nameless turned only to see a shocking sight, the beast was still growing even bigger, it looked the size of a big dinosaur now!

The beast moved its giant jaw, grabbing the raptor corpses on the ground before throwing them in the air and devouring them.

The beast repeatedly moved its head and body to crash into the branches and roots uprooting them and creating a path in the tangled mess.

What shocked Nameless the most was that its speed was faster than even his straight running speed.

The beast looked extremely domineering with its bloody face and the various long feathers on its arms and body that had been now covered in red crimson blood.

Nameless took up even more speed, not holding back on using the purple dao marks and most of the energy he had previously absorbed from the beast core.

As he created even more distance, he turned to look back but this time, his eyes made contact with the beast's vertical pupils!

A profound fear immediately emerged in his heart.

In that moment it felt as if time had stopped, he felt it, the beast wasn't just rampaging randomly, it was chasing him!

"Drop the beastcores! It's probably chasing you for the beast cores!"

Nameless however didn't listen and continued on his way, he was unwilling to let go of his hard work.

Let alone the fact that his time in the forest was extremely limited, he had yet to return to his birthplace and everytime he tried, countless obstacles would get on his way.

The will noticed this and spoke : "Kid, in life you have to learn to let go of things. Things will not always go your way, if you are not willing to let go and start over again then you will not even have that opportunity!"

Nameless was stirred but he was still unwilling to let go of it, however seeing the beast's relentless pursuit, he could only sigh. He ran for a distance in the opposite direction of his escape, threw the basket as far as he could before going back on his way.

The beast immediately changed its direction chasing the beast cores as Nameless rushed at high speed in the opposite direction.

It only took a few minutes before the beast arrived and devoured the basket whole.

Its pupils expanded for a few moments as it absorbed the energy, it then stood still basking in the power surging through its body.

Minutes passed before It turned its head to look on the opposite direction.

Nameless had already escaped beyond the tree root dome in an unknown direction and entered the depths of the forest, rushing in between the branches and plant in his modified Keiya transformation.

Even if the beast rushed after him now, it wouldn't be an easy matter to catch him with the surrounding forest.

The beast only looked before it turned on its way.

Nameless noticed the beast not continuing its chase and rejoiced, taking even more speed and using the surrounding branches to propell himself at an extremely high speed.

After crossing the forest for an hour, Nameless could finally relax as he arrived at the previous plain he had encountered in his way before.

He ran on the plain trying not to disturb the giant komodo rhinos that appeared on the horizons.

"I have finally shaken it off! Wtf was that?! Hey will, speak! Are you trying to kill me again?!"

"I never expected it."

"Expected what?"

"The raptorian beast has atleast 3 animas on it, and they are all atleast rank 4!"

Nameless ran as he responded : "3 rank 4 animas?!! How can that be?!"

"It was a disastrous decision to hide the beast cores in its insides. It probably absorbed the energy and ended its hibernation before being awakened when you neared it, but still, it doesn't make any sense?! the rank 5 aura didn't seem to emerge from its corpse but merely stayed enveloping the environment as if to deter beasts from entering, add on that it could even shrink its size and hide, it might have even more animas!"

"Hey speak clearly, I can't understand!"

"I can only theorise on the events, the rank 5 raptorian vulture is probably a beast that has newly advanced to rank 5, making it capable of enslaving all beasts from its specie, such beast leaders at rank 5 are called beast emperors. It charged attacking the divine trees with the beast tide. There must also have been an intense clash between a powerful rank 5 divine tree and the rank 5 raptorian vultures, the divine probably overpowered the newly advanced rank 5 beast thus its injuries. The beast had no choice but to play dead and hibernate waiting for the moment where the divine tree retreated. The problem is such a feat should have been impossible!"

"What do you mean?!"

"Simply put, its impossible for a beast to shrink its size to the extent where it appears as a normal sized beast, but not only that, it can even regrow back, so it must have an anima that can not only help it shrink but also expand. A beast's most impressive feat can be hiding its aura but hiding its aura while hibernating so much as to not be noticed is impossible, so it must have an anima that has a special concealment ability. This is not even counting its roar which seem to have been augment by sound path anima with its power, it would thus justify its empty sack."

"Beasts can have Animas? How can that be and for them to be this powerful?!"

"Beasts can't subdue Anima but Anima are fragile in nature thus they need to rely on a host, the more powerful the host, the higher the survival rate. Anima and beast have a symbiotic relationship and even if the beast dies, the anima can just escape."

"Animas are alive?!"

"Yes, Animas have a will."

"Then how can humans use them?"

"Humans cannot use animas without eradicating their will, the Anima then becomes a tool. The Anima remains alive and itself then but fully obedient to its master."

As Nameless ran, he couldn't help but feel but the komodo rhinos were behaving strangely but he paid it no mind.

"I still don't understand why does that beast have so many Animas?!"

"That is obvious, its a giant beast tide, animas are fragile and don't have a body, one attack of their rank and their fate would be sealed, there also seems the energy that dissipating from the immortal fetus is changing the ecosystem even more than I imagined."

"Are those the only Anima it has?"

"So it seems, if it had more it would have used them."

"I see then how come I am alive if it was so powerful?"

"I told you, the beast was newly advanced into rank 5, it takes time to stabilise a cultivation realm and the cultivation instability reached a tipping point, a beast loses its rank. The beast is no longer rank 5 but merely a rank 4 beast, its also seems its been heavily weakened with a near mortal wound and the lack of energy. Sigh, the fact that I told you to hide the beast cores in its stomach. Now that I think about it, it must have remained at the periphary of the root dome on purpose."

"I see, I hope atleast the raptor doesn't hold a grudge."

"They do hold a grudge but how can it even reach here? does it dare to move through such a vast forest full of danger in its weakened state."

"I see, that's finally good news."

As Nameless conversed with the will however, he didn't notice that the komodo rhinos were growing restless.

Nameless ran as he listened before noticing that he began to run away of energy.

'Fuck, this beast is too strong and the escape has taken too long.'

Nameless didn't dare to conserve his energy, he had to get to escape as far away as possible.

As Nameless was moving, he couldn't help but remember a small detail as the idea struck him : "Wait, why was there a root dome to begin with?"

"Now that I think about it, It is indeed uncommo-"

At this moment, a loud bellow sound echoed.

He turned only to see that the komodo rhinos bellowing, sending their beast bellow for a few moments as if announcing themselves and alerting their tribe before they rushed moving along and entering the forest.

They earth shook and a loud thumbing sound echoed, the beasts were moving very fast, Nameless was suprised by their speed, despite their giant size, they moved rapidly.

He didn't fear them coming however since they moved in the opposite direction to him but but its still made him extremely alert.

"What is happening?!"

"It's either that the beasts are returning to their territory or they are alerting their tribe because of a threat."

"I see, might as well move from here just in case."

However to his suprise, time passed and no threat appeared.

However at this moment, the thumbing sounds of the rhinos accelerated, some even crashing into trees and each other just to enter the forest.

Nameless didn't understand, he used his alienoid eyes and even sensory quills but felt nothing at all aside from the hysteric beasts.

However as he was moving, Nameless casually lifted his head before a shocking scene entered his vision.

A giant Raptor was flying in the sky!
