Chapter 14 - Paragraph

"Hey kid, what'cha holding there?" Yuugo asked as he looked at Ray holding a photo.

Ray sat on one of the chairs in the library since he was planning to read a book until he got distracted by a photo.

"It's none of your business." Ray coldly said as he grabbed the book and left the library.

"What's with him?" Yuugo watched Ray's figure as he walked back to the rooms.

"Don't worry about him. He's always been like that ever since we escaped from the farm." Emma reassured Yuugo.

"I know it's none of my business, but is there a reason why his attitude is like that?" Lucas asked as he closed the book he was reading.

"He just misses Norman and Y/n, especially Y/n. They got shipped out before we could escape." Emma looked at the ground as she frowned.

"Oh...and I'm guessing they didn't make it..." Yuugo said as he looked at Emma.

"I'm so sorry I asked! I didn't know about that. I apologize." Lucas panicked as he quickly apologized.

"No, it's fine! I don't mind talking about them, to be honest!" Emma reassured the panicked Lucas.

"Oh thank goodness. If it's ok with you, I wouldn't mind hearing a thing or two about them. Of course, if it's ok with you that is. Right, Yuugo?" Lucas asked Yuugo.

"Yeah sure. I don't mind." Yuugo crossed his arms as he leaned against the wall of the library.

"Norman is an intellectual guy. He's smart and comes up with the best solution with every problem. He's gentle and nice. He's not good when it comes to physical activities since he was feeble ever since he was small." Emma told them about Norman.

Ray forgot that he left one of the books that he was planning on reading, so he decided to go back but then he heard what Emma was saying.

"And Y/n is an amazing girl. She's smart, kind, and very good with kids. She always smiled and comforted others. The only thing scary about her is that when you lie to her." Ray talked about Y/n as he rubbed his hand, remembering that time when

Y/n gripped his hand.

"Y/n was really sharp so you can't really lie to her. If you do, it's the scariest thing you might see. Ray lied to her once and he had his hand aching for about 2 days." Emma chuckled.

"They both seemed like amazing people..." Lucas looked down as Ray took the book he was about to read and quickly left.

"Ray always blamed himself for their deaths. It wasn't his fault and we're not even sure if they're dead." Emma said.

"I know that feeling too..." Yuugo mumbled as he looked at the seat that Ray was seating on a while ago.

"You're not sure if they're dead?" Lucas asked as he raised an eyebrow at Emma.

"Yeah. We saw Y/n once when we were escaping from that farm. That was the last time we talked to her." Emma replied.

"Talked to her? I thought they didn't make it before the escape?" Yuugo looked at Emma, confused.

"Yeah. We also saw Norman, we talked to Y/n but we couldn't touch her. She kept saying that they'll come back. I'm not sure if...if she's still alive...I'm not sure if...they're still...alive." Emma said as she frowned.

"Y/n, why did you leave me?" Ray muttered as he took out the photo of Y/n from the pocket of his ripped jeans.

"𝑳𝒐𝒗𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒄𝒂𝒏 𝒉𝒖𝒓𝒕, 𝒍𝒐𝒗𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒄𝒂𝒏 𝒉𝒖𝒓𝒕 𝒔𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒕𝒊𝒎𝒆𝒔. 𝑩𝒖𝒕, 𝒊𝒕'𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒐𝒏𝒍𝒚 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝑰 𝒌𝒏𝒐𝒘. 𝑾𝒉𝒆𝒏 𝒊𝒕 𝒈𝒆𝒕𝒔 𝒉𝒂𝒓𝒅, 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒌𝒏𝒐𝒘 𝒊𝒕 𝒄𝒂𝒏 𝒈𝒆𝒕 𝒉𝒂𝒓𝒅 𝒔𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒕𝒊𝒎𝒆𝒔. 𝑩𝒖𝒕 𝒊𝒕'𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒐𝒏𝒍𝒚 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒎𝒂𝒌𝒆𝒔 𝒖𝒔 𝒇𝒆𝒆𝒍 𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒗𝒆" Ray mumbled as he placed the photo close to his chest.

"𝑾𝒆 𝒌𝒆𝒆𝒑 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒍𝒐𝒗𝒆 𝒊𝒏 𝒂 𝒑𝒉𝒐𝒕𝒐𝒈𝒓𝒂𝒑𝒉, 𝒘𝒆 𝒎𝒂𝒅𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒎𝒆𝒎𝒐𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒔 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒔𝒆𝒍𝒗𝒆𝒔. 𝑾𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆 𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒆𝒚𝒆𝒔 𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒏𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓 𝒄𝒍𝒐𝒔𝒊𝒏𝒈, 𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒉𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒕𝒔 𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒏𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓 𝒃𝒓𝒐𝒌𝒆𝒏, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒕𝒊𝒎𝒆𝒔 𝒇𝒐𝒓𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓 𝒇𝒓𝒐𝒛𝒆𝒏 𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒍𝒍" Ray said as he placed the photo back in his pocket.

"𝑺𝒐 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒄𝒂𝒏 𝒌𝒆𝒆𝒑 𝒎𝒆 𝒊𝒏𝒔𝒊𝒅𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒑𝒐𝒄𝒌𝒆𝒕 𝒐𝒇 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒓𝒊𝒑𝒑𝒆𝒅 𝒋𝒆𝒂𝒏𝒔, 𝒉𝒐𝒍𝒅𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒎𝒆 𝒄𝒍𝒐𝒔𝒆𝒓 𝒕𝒊'𝒍𝒍 𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒆𝒚𝒆𝒔 𝒎𝒆𝒆𝒕. 𝒀𝒐𝒖 𝒘𝒐𝒏'𝒕 𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓 𝒃𝒆 𝒂𝒍𝒐𝒏𝒆, 𝒘𝒂𝒊𝒕 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒎𝒆 𝒕𝒐 𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒆 𝒉𝒐𝒎𝒆" Ray heard a voice say. He stood up and looked around.

"𝑳𝒐𝒗𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒄𝒂𝒏 𝒉𝒆𝒂𝒍, 𝒍𝒐𝒗𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒄𝒂𝒏 𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒅 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒔𝒐𝒖𝒍. 𝑨𝒏𝒅 𝒊𝒕'𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒐𝒏𝒍𝒚 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝑰 𝒌𝒏𝒐𝒘, 𝒌𝒏𝒐𝒘...𝑰 𝒔𝒘𝒆𝒂𝒓 𝒊𝒕 𝒘𝒊𝒍𝒍 𝒈𝒆𝒕 𝒆𝒂𝒔𝒊𝒆𝒓. 𝑹𝒆𝒎𝒆𝒎𝒃𝒆𝒓 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒚 𝒑𝒊𝒆𝒄𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝒚𝒐𝒖." the voice said again. Ray looked around and saw Y/n.

Y/n started to approach him and she tried wiping the tears on Ray's face but her hand only went through.

"Y-Y/n...is that really you?" Ray stuttered as his voice cracked from trying to talk while tears were coming out of his eyes.

"Yes." Y/n smiled as she sat on his bed. Ray sat down beside her and they sat in silence.

"How are you? You're eating well, right? You're still not blaming yourself, right? Don't blame yourself anymore Ray. I'm fine, I can handle it. Understood?" Y/n scolded Ray which made him chuckle.

"Yeah. I understand." Ray said as he looked at Y/n, admiring her features. Y/n looked back and Ray averted his gaze somewhere else.

"Do you wanna see the children? We also met adults that are on our side. More people got added to our family." Ray said and Y/n nodded.

He stood up and opened the door for Y/n making Y/n giggle on how Ray has become quite the gentleman.

"Everyone! Y/n is here!" Ray announced and almost all the children ran out of their rooms.

"Everyone! Y/N's here!" Emma heard Ray announce. She gasped and quickly looked outside.

"Y/n?" Yuugo looked really confused as he now stopped leaning on the wall.

"Y/n finally visited! Come, you have to meet her!" Emma pulled the two and dragged them to where she heard Ray's voice.

There she saw a smiling Y/n talking with the children since she could not carry them in her arms.

"Y/n..." Emma mumbled making Y/n look up and smile and her eyes looked at Yuugo and Lucas.

"So this is Y/n?" Lucas muttered as Y/n stood up and walked over to them and she looked them in the eyes.

"We'll be able to meet soon. We're planning to escape the farm where Norman and I are in." Y/n announced.

"Farm?" Emma asked.

"Indeed. I'm in a farm right now. My body thinks this is a dream right now and I'm going to wake up soon so I have to go!" before Y/n could vanish...

"Y/n! Don't go yet!" Ray begged and Y/n smiled gently at him.

"We'll be back soon." Y/n said before she vanished once again into thin air as she did back then.

"Who was that?" Violet asked, still not believing what she just saw.

"That's Y/n, a fellow comrade of ours." Lucas announced making Emma smile.
