Chapter 18 The Banquet.
The Banquet of Heavenly Mountain and Divine Flame.
An event that changes many Demonic Practitioners life. The competition takes place in four large stage where the participants would fight, it is conducted in a single day.
During this single day numerous demonic practitioner experience drastic change in ranks. The changes simply depends on the skill of the participants.
Stand on a higher stage while risking your life or maintaining your current status and spare your life.
Those on lower rank can challenge those who are at higher, but the risk is severe. Every fight you need to bet on your life, not only your life but your rank, dignity as a man, and honor as a martial artist.
On the day of the banquet.
Many demonic practitioners of great rank gathered at the site where the Banquet would be held.
Five out of the Ten Demonic Master was here, eighteen over thirty demonic king was here, the Divine maiden was here and most especially of all the Heavenly Demon was here.
He stood at the very top of the platform near the Divine Flame next to him was ten people with red hair, evident that they were people from Hanma Clan.
Before the event starts one of the people from Hanma, Ryusen specifically caught on sight of Hyuk Woon Sung.
Hyuk Woon Sung was the protagonist of Chronicles of The Heavenly Demon, and was the future cult leader of the cult. In fact, as most modern-day protagonists are, he was also reincarnated into another body.

Just like how a mice would feel facing a lion.
His Heavenward Soul and Earthen Body activated and tries to fight off the instinctual fear, thankfully a sound broke them out of their small skirmish.
The Heavenly Demon's voice resounded throughout the arena as he commences the start of the Banquet.
The first fight started with a battle between two great demons, one middle-rank, and one high-rank great demon.
"Baek Woo Jin, who are those guys?" The leader of the Charred Dragon Unit asked Baek Woo Jin, the silent assassin of his unit.
"Ah! Those are the guest from another clan especially invited by the Heavenly Demon."
"Special Clan?"
"I don't know the details either, but some High Ranking demons showed some respect to them, the maybe their information is discreet."
"I'll try to find out."
'Hmm if even I don't know them then there's a low chance that Baek Woo Jin would find out.'
"Nevermind just continue on your training."
"Alright captain."
To be more specific the information of the Hanma Clan is not discreet but more like unknown to the low part of the echelon, many middle-rank to high-rank organization knew the Hanma Clan but those in the lower part have little to no clue. Though Hyuk Woon Seung belonged to a high-ranking sect back on his previous life, he was oblivious maybe because they were betrayed even before his master informed him of the Hanma Clan.
As Hyuk Woon Sunb was contemplating, he noticed a man looking at him from below the arena. It seems that this man wants to fight him.
"I Kwak Soo Mil challenge the Captain of The Charred Dragon Unit!" Kwak Soo Mil one of the high-ranking great demons to she specific he was the Rank Ten Great Demons, meaning out of all the hundreds of Great Demons he was the tenth strongest. He got down to the arena and challenges the latter.
"Do you dare?" He followed with a taunting look.
Kwak Soo Mil, he was a demonic practitioner that showed immense talent at the beginning of his career, in just a just a small span of time he managed to climb through the Rank of Great Demon. But his so called talent can only take him to such level, at the peak of his career he managed to positioned himself at the Top ten but that's all.
He failed to cross the vast river between his current rank and Demonic King rank. He tried many times to challenge so but all ended in vain and some even almost killed him.
On the other hand, Hyuk Woon Sung who has been the talk of the Cult have been climbing through the ranks faster than he ever did and showed no signs of stopping. Many Great Demons felt their position threatened and so Kwak So Mil who saw the chance strikes.
With a elaborate scheme he concucted to exploit the big egos of the threatened great demon, he got his hands on some demonic pill that can boost his martial prowess to the low-end of Demonic King rank.
And so with ambition and arrogance in mind, he challenged Hyuk Woon Sung to fulfill his promise to the Great Demons he striked a deal with.
