3 CHAPTER III: BREAKING IN

Mariel's POV:

"Hey! Rigene. Where are we going?" I asked her because we are now here in a dark area of our school. At the back of our administration office.

"I saw him! I really saw him." She answered.

"Saw who??"

"A tall man. He was standing there..." She pointed to the place where he saw the guy "...while we were all talking about our plans."

"I think we should go back." I suggested

"Okay" She simply replied but when we were about to step our foot we just saw something on a bench. It is like a human body lying on a bench. So, we walked to the bench. "Oh my god!" I was shocked when we saw a paralyzed girl and she is still in her uniform.

"What the!??" Rigene was also shocked "what are we going to do with that?"

" We will carry her and bring her to the group."

"She's dead! Why would you do that??"

"No! She's not. She is still breathing."

"Okay! Let's go!" We carried her and brought her in front of coop where we left the group but they weren't there.

"Where are they?" Rigene asked

"I think they are already inside." I answered.

"I'll check them inside."

"Ok! Take care!" So she went inside.

Lyndon's POV:

We are now in front of the laboratory. We are now trying to figure out how are we going to break in.

"Listen, guys! We need to get inside to check what is the content of this syringe."

"So, what's your plan?" Benny asked.

I looked at him "i'll break the door."

"What!? That's against the law of the school." Zyian opposed

"You're right but since the moment we entered the school... We already violated the law of the school. Get it?" I answered, then i go and look for something that i can use to break the door.

"Is he out of his mind? Is he still thinking? We can be all end up in prison if we get caught here!." Trina eclaimed.

"Just trust him" Benny replied.

Benny's POV:

I really don't have any idea right now for what's gonna happen next but i trust lyndon a lot. We were friends since we were kids and he never let me down. He always comes up with a brilliant ideas that's why this time, i am putting my faith in him. We're gonna make it. "Just relax guys! I know lyndon for a very long time. He won't let us down. Just calm down and wait"

I said but i can see in their eyes the fear that clothed and veiled them. The tremble on their faces is very visible.

"I can't help it! I can't just sit here and relax!" Zyian exclaimed "im scared! I can't even remember why i'd let myself to get involved with this! I wanna go home!"

I can see on her face that she is not really ok, so, i hugged her and comfort her "im not gonna leave you! No matter what happens im gonna protect you! I promise!" After saying those words zyian started to calm down.

"Hey guys, we found a girl lying on a bench at the back of admin's office. She's paralyzed though!" Rigene reported exhaustedly.

"What girl?" Scared Kyriel asked.

We just ignored him and go outside to check it out.

Benny's POV

"Where's mariel? You left her here, right?" I asked

"Yeah! I left her here." Rigene replied.

Oh no! This is not good. Mariel is nowhere to be found.

"Maybe in the toilet?" Zyian suggested.

"Yeah! Maybe she needs to do number 1..." Trina added. "...or maybe number 2?"

"That's right! You girls check the cr and report to us immediately." I said. So they went to check the cr.

When they got there we heard them screamed. So we did not hesitate to follow them inside and got surprised for what we saw... It's mariel's body hanging! It feels like we all got paralyzed for a short period of time. Our girls are all crying but i can't do something. I am out of ideas. My mind is occupied by what is happening. Why are we here? We shouldn't be here!

"I wanna go home!" Kyriel insisted then he ran away.

" Wait, kyriel! Don--" I tried to stop him but the girls are my priorities. They need someone who can protect them.

"I think we better go---" I wasn't finished yet when zyian interrupted me

"Home! We better go home!" I looked at her " Benny, i want to go home! Get us out of here right now!" Then i looked on the way where the aquabest is standing " I don't care about your friend, lyndon anymore! He is the one to blame! He is the one who is responsible for mariel's death! So, we better leave him here and die!" She was so angry at lyndon.

So, we prepared ourselves to leave but when we just got out from the cr lyndon called us "hey benny! I just broke the glass window of the lab, we can go inside now." We stopped and waited for him to get close and when he got closed... He was slapped by zyian!

"You! I hate you! You are the one to blame for what happened!" She yelled at lyndon

"Wait! What happened?? Blame for what? I don't understand!" He asked.

"Bro, mariel is dead! We saw her hanging in the girl's restroom just now. You can look for yourself." I explained.

"What!? No!" So he ran to see what happened but when he returned...

"Wait guys! I'm sorry! I am so sorry if i let you get involved with this. Everyone who doesn't want to continue... You are free to go home. I don't want  to be responsible for more blood but before that i just want to ask you something, zyian." He sincerely said then zyian looked at him "what?"

"Is this the same syringe we found on the scene where the suicide of stephen happened?" He handed over the syringe to zyian and she checked it out. "Yes, why?"

"I found it  inside the girl's restroom." He said.

"What!?? We all got shocked.

" This is the last favor that i will ask before you leave. Will you please examine the substance inside the syringe? Because i have a strong feeling that if i will know what that is i will be able to solve this. So, i'm begging! For the last time!" He begged and after a 10 seconds of thinking zyian agreed.

" But this is the last time..." She said " After this we are all going home."

"Okay! Sure. Thanks!" So we all went to the lab.

Lyndon's POV

I went through the the broken window and open the door from the inside so it will not be difficult for them to enter the lab.

"So, what do you need?" I asked

"Of course, i need the microscope and the...." She wasn't able to finish what she was saying because we heard footsteps and it's coming right at us so, we hid anywhere that we can hide. The footsteps were getting closer and closer. I can hear it from where i was hiding... Inside the locker that was close to the door.

And oh my gosh we forgot to close it.....

I can see a figure of a guy standing right in front of the door. He's saying something "i think, someone was here..." Then he looked at the pieces of the broken window "... Oh! My bad! It is not 'was' because someone 'IS' here!" I am trying to stop my body from shaking but i can't help it. My heart keeps pounding! That guy... I saw him looking at me.

The guy left the room...

We went out from where we are all hiding.

" Guys, the voice of that guy is so familiar... I was trying to remember whose voice was that but i was filled with fear because i saw him looking at me." I explained

"Saw? Did you see the guy? Did you hear his voice? But... I haven't heard his voice nor see him. It's too dark in here. It is impossible to see him." Benny replied

"I didn't actually see him. Just his figure and movements of his body. And yeah! I heard his voice saying that 'someone is here'." I added

"You heard him saying that?" Zyian asked

"Exactly! There is no point on lying to you, guys!" I walked towards zyian and held her hands " I'm scared too but there is a part of me that is telling me to continue investigating so please, i need your help with the substance! " This is actually the first time that i beg something from someone.

After a few seconds i got her yes, so we examined the substance. The examination process lasted for 30 minutes.

"I got it, guys! I knew it!" Zyian exclaimed and we all run to her

" What is it??? " I asked

" I knew it, Lyndon. I'm right! What's on my mind is absolutely right! It is...." Zyian looked me in the eyes.
