4 They love me. They can't cheat me.

Standing in the room was Zhou Mingyu.

Wearing a short black dress with six feet black heals, with perfect make-up on the face, each hair set perfectly in a low bun, feet and hands manicured not a day ago and charming smile on her lips, Zhou Mingyu looked no less than any Goddess.

He Lin smiled upon seeing Zhou Mingyu and walked toward her where Xin Mei stood frozen on her spot. Her breathing was labored and flashes of that horrible dream came into her sight.

There was a frown in-between her brows and scowl on her face.

"Meimei, what happened? Why are you looking at me like this? Are you angry on your Mingyu for the accident? Your Mingyu feels really guilty about your accident. If only I hadn't taken you to the cinema with me."

Zhou Mingyu sounded so genuine. She took a hold of Xin Mei' hand. Tears were glittering in her eyes. She looked guilty.

Xin Mei looked at the sad face of Zhou Mingyu and scolded herself. How could she loath Zhou Mingyu due to her stupid dream? Zhou Mingyu, her best friend, soul-sister!

Xin Mei had met with Zhou Mingyu at the age of ten when her family had shifted in the city A. Zhou Mingyu was her bench mate and soon enough they became friends then best-friends.

Even though their fathers were competitors, it didn't affect their increasing friendship. They both were inseparable souls. They used to do everything for one another. Sharing things was common among them.

Lots of time, Xin Mei had fought with other girls or boys who dared to bully her Mingyu. She was a shield of Mingyu.

They both were passionate about acting. They had taken part in many plays in school functions or society functions. Xin Mei had always over shinned Zhou Mingyu with her acting skills and that was the reason Zhou Mingyu secretly envied Xin Mei.

Many times, Xin Mei had lowered down her acting skills, to give Zhou Mingyu the limelight. Xin Mei knew about the love of Zhou Mingyu toward acting and she wanted her to get success in it.

Both of them had joined Film University together. Xin Mei became popular in the university within a week due to her skills. She got a lot of bright opportunities for her debut as an actress but all the opportunities were snatched away because of a plan by Zhou Mingyu and Qian Fan.

Xin Mei declined every proposal and suggested the name of Zhou Mingyu. She dropped her dream to become a star. Instead, she became a shadow behind the success of Zhou Mingyu. Xin Mei was ready to sacrifice anything for her friend.

Uncle of Xin Mei was owner of a top management company in the city. Xin Mei had used his contacts to make Zhou Mingyu successful. Her uncle was the reason that Zhou Mingyu had smartly kept Xin Mei at her side.

With the help of Xin Mei, the career of Zhou Mingyu boomed in the last five years. She became a three-time best actress award winner.

Xin Mei was doing so much for Zhou Mingyu where Zhou Mingyu was always deceiving her.

"Mingyu, stop blaming yourself. My accident wasn't your mistake. It was just an accident. No one has seen it coming."

Xin Mei smiled and hugged Zhou Mingyu in her arms.

"Oh Meimei, I was so shocked when I saw your blood covered body. For a second I thought...I.....if not your brother Fan..."

Zhou Mingyu broke down into sobs. Xin Mei patted on her back with a sad smile on her lips.

"I was so afraid Meimei. Each second I prayed for you to wake up. You know your Mingyu was alone without you. I am glad that you are up."

"Stop crying Mingyu." Xin Mei patted on her back. In an attempt to divert her attention, Xin Mei spoke, "Come and tell me about everything which you have done while I was sleeping."

Xin Mei pulled Zhou Mingyu toward her bed. Both friends talked for some time. Zhou Mingyu updated Xin Mei about her shooting schedule and other things.

They were in the middle of talks when Qian Fan entered into the room.

"Bro Fan." Xin Mei grinned upon seeing him.

Xin Mei had met with Qian Fan when she was thirteen years old. The moment she had seen him, she had given her heart to him. She did everything to become his friend and then lover.

From the past seven years, she and Qian Fan were together. She was ready to do anything for Qian Fan. It was Qian Fan who asked her to not enter into the film industry as an actress and she agreed.

Father of Qian Fan was an investor and Xin Mei had assured that his father would get every beneficial deal from her father's business. Once she had forced her father to help Qian Corporation with huge debt because she couldn't see the sadness on the face of Qian Fan.

She had begged her brother to help Qian Fan in establishing his feet in the business world. She loved him madly and could do anything for him.

"How are you feeling now Xiao Mei? I was so terrified when I saw you in the parking. I thought....I..."

Qian Fan broke down into sobs and hugged Xin Mei tight into his embrace.

"I come here the moment uncle informed me that you are up. I had missed you, Xiao Mei."

Xin Mei smiled in the arms of Qian Fan but at that moment she wasn't feeling the immense happiness which she usually felt in his embrace.

Somewhere she felt uncomfortable in his hug which made her confused. Why was her body not accepting his hug? Why wasn't she feeling the sparkling love which she always felt when she was around him?

Qian Fan broke the hug and smiled toward Xin Mei. His smile always made Xin Mei enchanted but at that moment Xin Mei found that smile to be fake.

"What happened Xin Mei? Why are you frowning like this?"

"Nothing." Xin Mei shook her head to shoo away the depressing thoughts from her mind.

The three of them talked for a long time. They talked about their movie date and a lot of childhood memories before it was time for Xin Mei to rest.

"Rest well Meimei. Once you are all well I will take you to our pending date. Hmm."

Qian Fan patted on her cheeks with love which brought a smile on her lips.

With a smile, she watched as Qian Fan and Zhou Mingyu left her room.

How foolish her dreams were!

How could those two cheat with her!
